Vacation rentals with a kayak in Washington County

This house is a cozy beach cottage in a great location! The deck and yard were the best part of the rental with the beach parking pass and beach supplies a total bonus. We had a great stay at this house. Location: It is walkable to a couple cafes, restaurants and an ice cream window by about a mile so location was not only beautiful on the water but convenient for errands. To note, two of the bedrooms are tight in size and don’t have central air or ceiling fans so they got very hot at night. There is also no tub for anyone traveling with little kids who may need a wash up. We spent the majority of our time outside in early August and this house was perfect for that.

Kerrie and Mark were perfect hosts. Gorgeous location, walk to beach and house was stocked with everything needed for our stay. The dock was fun for the kids. Pond is very shallow and our young kids had a blast kayaking and paddle boarding. We can’t wait to book again next year.

Caroline’s place was great. She was a very responsive host and her place was as described. It was clean, spacious easy to get in and good location. There were lots of good restaurants and beaches nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

It’s difficult to succinctly state how wonderful the experience is at the Grange Cottage. Aside from the peaceful and historical cottage, the hosts put it over the edge. Both Stephen and Dean were so friendly and made us feel at home. When you only get away from daily life infrequently, these little getaways mean a lot. Everything you read about the property and these hosts is true. The value is incredible for what you get. It’s a labor of love for these hosts and it shows. I just kind of hope it doesn’t get TOO popular so that I can book it again!

Staying at Daniela’s place was great! Super easy to find and get into the peaceful house on the pond. Even though it was pet friendly, the house was spotless and had no wear or tear from previous visitors. It was great that they had child gates at stairs too! The dog loved going out in the canoe and swimming in the pond! Great place overall!

We would definitely stay here again. The house was spotless which is very important to me. Great layout, not overdecorated or cluttered, not under decorated either. Felt homey. Lots of windows for those ocean breezes. Nice quiet neighborhood. Great location as we were a short drive to Jamestown, Saunderstown, Wickford Village. Kitchen had everything we needed. Even better than advertised.

Perfect stay! The location was private, beautiful and safe and also close by to Oceanside restaurants. The house was perfect for my husband, toddler and infant with lots of room to run around outside. Waking up every morning to coffee with a sunrise over the pond and the fireplace on was heaven. Thank you for the magic memories!

We booked Chris's place for a long weekend birthday celebration (mom's 75th!) and it was super relaxing and very appreciated by all in attendance. The views were beautiful and the mile walk to the beach was lovely. We packed in a lot of food to cook most meals and even brought in some equipment (outdoor griddle) and small-wares (containers, knives, etc) to supplement the basics often found at rentals. The wind can be notable during the day but calm in the mornings and evening. A lovely back patio to lounge on with a gas fireplace and abundant Adirondack loungers. Check out was easy and seamless. Would definitely go back.

We are pleasantly surprised with the house. Views were amazing, walk to town and beach. House was well stocked. The owners were great. Checked in with us by text to make sure everything was good. Immediately answered any texts and even let me know that the ferries were cancelled and let us stay longer because of the delays. Will definitely return. We had an AWESOME week!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Steve’s cottage. The location is beyond perfect and the cottage itself has a great mix of modern updates coupled with classic beach cottage charm. Steve is a great host, engaged, friendly and understanding. We hope to return sometime in the future. Recommend without hesitation. Thank you Steve!!

This was our 2nd stay at the Lake Cottage. The cottage is the perfect size, very clean and well kept. The view from inside and from the patio of the lake is stunning! Reb is the perfect host - ready with suggestions of where to eat, etc. if we didn't feel like cooking. Relaxing indoors or out was refreshing - just what we needed. We hope to make it there a 3rd time next year.

Doug's home was a beautiful one with so many places to sit and enjoy the view from both sides! Bays on either side, a view from every window, and spots with chairs, couch, hammock, umbrella--to enjoy the views with. It is ideally located close to the many beaches and towns you can visit by the sea in Rhode Island. We went to a new town and new beach every day. We started and ended our days sitting outside at the house. In the morning, we sat watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, and in the evening we sat on the other side of the house watching the sunset. We even ate at the picnic table one night with the full set of outdoor dishes provided. A full kitchen made homemade meals easy, with a spice cupboard next to the stove, full of any spice you could want! There was an amazing cute set up outside with a grill and a little cabana bar with lights outside. We didn't get a chance to use this area, but what a fun set up! How could you want for anything more? Bring your own beach towels!

It is a great cottage in a beautiful setting with lots of water toys! Mary Ann is very easy to work with! We have need several times and love it. Bill

This place was an absolute dream. The walk to the beach is beautiful and quiet in early June. We loved sitting outside having coffee, and being able to just slow down and enjoy life. We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to come back.

Great camp and peaceful area. Angela is a great host and very accommodating. I have stayed twice and would definitely come back again.

Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

We’re so glad we found Paul’s rentals at Stonington Marina! This is a wonderfully unique stay in a great area with lots to do, and Paul’s cottages at the marina provide a peaceful, homey place to relax and enjoy. It was great to kayak over to Sandy Point and enjoy the beach like a local. If you want to catch and prepare your own fish, he’s got the stuff for that in the patio/fire pit area. Or you can get some fresh catch in nearby Stonington borough. Otherwise there’s a host of excellent restaurants nearby and Paul’s recommendations will steer you well. The cottage itself was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Again, a great find!

We had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend at lakeside landing! The house itself is a 10 out of 10, absolutely adorable and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was sooo comfy and the views are just amazing! We enjoyed paddling around the lake during the day and the fire pit and hot tub at night! We didn’t leave the house once!! Highly recommend:)

We had a wonderful stay at the marina. Paul is an excellent host; very friendly and responsive. He gave us recommendations for local restaurants and they were all great. The location is very convenient as a base for visiting local attractions and exploring the area, and the setting right along the Cove is peaceful. We highly recommend a stay here.
