Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Washington County

My main search was for a pet friendly rental so I could invite friends with a senior golden retriever. And secondly I wanted to be near the ocean. Having lived on Cape Cod for 25 years, I moved back to Connecticut a year ago after the passing of my wife. But the call of the ocean never fades and this rental was steps from East Beach. My stay was in February and the weather wasn't the best, but beach walks are always best when the only footsteps in the sand are your own. The rental was very accommodating with 3 bedrooms, a spacious living area and large, fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of outdoor seating is also included. Melissa was very attentive and always responded quickly when needed. I definitely recommend this rental for a peaceful adult retreat or for a full family vacation. Kids will love it with the big yard and kayaks available. Enjoy, John

This was a fabulous destination! We were looking for a big place to have a special anniversary party weekend with extended family, and this house had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms upstairs and first floor, many common gathering areas, large kitchen and dining room tables, and lots of Space. (And this doesn't even include the explorable property outside.) The dozens of photos in the listing were very helpful, as well as the detailed descriptions. We had specific needs for elderly relatives with disabilities, and owner Lynne was so responsive in her replies to my many messages with varied questions. Truly, Lynne, you deserve a gold star from Airbnb for promptness and offering up ways and help that made our stay both easier and fulfilling.

The home was exactly as described! It was lovely. A serene and peaceful vibe throughout and in the yard. both roomy and spacious. We were even surprised to get a water view from the top deck! All and all the house was very well appointed with everything we needed from chef quality pots and pans and dishes as well as a new out side gas grille! Beautiful artwork through out! Julie was great to work with and gave us excellent ideas for what to do and where to go in the area. We will surely go back! A great place for couples or a family with children.

We had a wonderful stay at Bonney’s home. The house is peaceful and private and just what we were looking for. Bonney was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We can’t wait to come back in the future.

38 Lauderdale was am excellent house. It was in great condition, and very clean. All amenities were provided Darius was a great host. He was very responsive during the rental process, and fully met the requests I had I would definitely want to work with Darius again, and recommend this rental

We loved our stay with our friends! It was so nice to have separate spaces from the family we traveled with but the perfect outdoor space and location made it easy to spend time together. We had a blast and the surrounding neighborhood was quiet and lovely. We would totally come back here!

The property is extremely beautiful, with plenty of nice clear walking trails. The barnyard is very nice and the animals were impeccably taken care of. The property has plenty of potential and the "Yert" spot is very tranquil. I'd go back for the nature trails and the possibility of kayaking on the Wood River. As I stated the property is beautiful.

What a wonderful home and host. Check in was easy and flexible as we weren't sure when we'd arrive. We were greeted by all the fixings for stores and everything was well stocked. Main bedroom bed was very comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen were clean as was the pool in the backyard. We had everything we needed and Tricia gave us great local recommendations for shopping, food and things to do. Would highly recommend if you're traveling to the area with a group/family.

This is one of the best locations for a campsite. It is close to home while also having the feel of more secluded Northern New England place. We have been going to this site for a few years and we will continue this tradition. Everything was great and the host quickly responded to my inquiry about something at the site.

Pier Escape is perfect! And the Host, Megan is fantastic. This home is so thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated. You will have everything you need for your stay. It is located in the Pier area so you will be about a mile from the town beach and there are tons of shops and restaurants in between! Yet when you are at the home, it is so private! The backyard is wonderful for both day and night activities. Megan is truly a “super host” and provides her renters with a wonderful space to create memories. Thank you!

We had a MOSTLY wonderful stay at this property! The location couldn’t be better—close to everything, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The home itself is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals, which we appreciated. A fun bonus was the Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom! The owner was also fantastic—super responsive and easy to communicate with. A couple of notes:     1.    You’ll need to bring your own linens (sheets and towels), so make sure to plan for that.     2.    The toilet paper provided is thin, so you might want to bring your own if that’s important to you. Linens not being provided detracted from this otherwise perfect Airbnb. As someone that has stayed in over 50 Airbnbs - this was a first for me. It was stressful sourcing winter-appropriate linens 4 days before Christmas. So, just a heads up! Otherwise, we had a great experience!

We had a wonderful stay at Kim's place. We had 4 adults and 3 kids, plenty of space for us. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, well stocked kitchen, different beach gears, a beautiful pool although we didn't use it much due to a cool temperature. Kim was an awesome host. She provided useful local info and tried her best to make things easier for us including possible early check in and late check out. Communication was timely and clearly. Location was convenient. Easy access to New Port, beaches, and all sorts of eateries. Definitely recommend.

This is truly a very special place! We had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful property. The space was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. The location was ideal for what we were looking for- water view/access, secluded, and easy access to local towns like Watch Hill, Charlestown, Westerly, and Newport The location made exploring a breeze. The host Marie was incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing clear instructions and helpful tips about the area. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the Rhode Island/eastern Connecticut shore area. We look forward to staying here again on my next visit!

Excellent deal - great to bring our own linens so we could have our dog with us. We felt the apartment was just perfect for our needs for a one-night stay for 2 people. Only suggestion for Steven - the wind whips through the stove vent at night it kept waking us up, so might be something to look into. I will be back with my dog when it gets warmer!!! We knew that we booked the right place when we were welcomed with fresh eggs from the neighbor. Mimi also stocked the fridge with water, milk, and other useful items. Although we are familiar with the area, the local recommendations from Mimi were very thoughtful and appreciated. She was an overall wonderful host. The home was comfortable, peaceful, and fit the needs for us including our pups; they especially loved running off leash in the yard. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Highly recommend! Beautiful space with an incredible location right on the water! Stunning sunsets and views! So quiet and peaceful. Appreciated the very clear directions from Elizabeth in terms of the house and local area! Can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay. The place was cozy and warm considering the freezing temperatures outside. She left plenty of towels, toiletries, and basic supplies in the house. Also, there was plenty of coffee and a few snacks which was a nice touch. The home was very comfortable and the street was quiet. I would love to come back in warmer temps next time.

Our stay was nearly two weeks but flew by. The cottage was comfortable and we felt right at home. Loved all of the natural light and for a cozy space it felt much more spacious. We especially enjoyed the kitchen (lots of counter space), grill even in the snow, and wood burning stove. Overall a tastefully decorated, comfortable space. Johnna was a fantastic host. She was super friendly and responses were prompt. Pups approved too, particularly that comfy dog bed. We hope to return again!

We had a great stay! The Simple Cottage had everything we needed and was an ideal location for us. Near the beach and several parks and preserves. The hosts are very responsive, provided clear instructions/information for our stay, and were proactive in making sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was spotless. The grove of trees on one side of the cottage provides additional privacy that other lots in the neighborhood don’t have.
