Family-friendly vacation rentals in South India

I am English staying with young family.. 6 of us a laf minute booking. Much to appreciate from RUPUL as a Barrister at the Bar in Kandy/Colombo and country’s high Courts . I’m a forever returning visitor. The sitting room so stylish and crammed with not just law material! The breakfast was excellent and very accommodating for taking 2nd one with is to sight see early. Strongly recommend for large families. As place and tranquility yo self. Peaceful only hearing the nature I thank you and your wife Upil and obliging staff)Muhindera(sp) Loose U.K. family Sri Lankan

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, die Aussicht war traumhaft. In der Unterkunft kommt ab und zu Lassie vorbei und schaut nach dem Rechten, man fühlt sich jederzeit sicher und es sind immer die Hausmeister ansprechbar. insgesamt ist es ein tolles Anwesen mit fürsorglichen Gastgebern + Team! Das Dinner und Frühstück sind empfehlenswert und ich durfte sogar mit dem Kayak auf dem See fahren. Ich habe es sehr genossen und kann die Unterkunft allen empfehlen die die Natur lieben. Ein paar Ameisen & Geckos gehören mit dazu, das war aber kein Problem und hat nicht gestört. Danke für diesen malerischen Ort!

I stayed there with family. Pratik was an extremely responsive and considerate host, right from the first inquiry. The place is as good as it gets. The description on Airbnb was fairly accurate. It's in a desirable housing complex. The flat is extremely spacious and has all that one needs to stay comfortably with family. Any minor shortcomings were immediately taken care of by the host. There was zero interference from the host and he always checked in if everything was okay. This sort of freedom is essential, esp. when you are staying with your family. Highly recommended.

One of the best stays I’hv had in a while! Mr. Silva and his team are the sweetest. Never ever did I hear the word NO from them in the 2 days we stayed at the Brockenhurst Bungalow! The food they prepared was made with so much of effort and love. The heritage vibe of this bungalow is unmatched! We had an early departure at 6am. The chef made sure we had our breakfast handy with a smile!😀 The views are amazing, the fireplace is soothing. If you want to learn hospitality then staying here is a must! :) 10/10 recommendation if you’re visiting Nuwara Eliya

I loved everything about this place - the location, the caretaker (Sanjaya), the chef (Vinod) and our furry companions - Whitey, Browny, and Bamboo (the puppy). Had some occasional visitors too - horses! Would rate this place as 9/10 - especially for families.

Wonderful villa, very quiet and amazing location. Was able to cook for the week and enjoy the space. The whole place is absolutely gorgeous: fantastic blue swimming pool, huge rooms, magnificent bathrooms. We had a great time, the location is absolutely amazing for anyone looking for peace and quiet with stunning views

We loved the property and our stay for 2 nights. Positives: 1. Beautiful & green surroundings with no noise 2. Lovely interiors giving a feel of an old era home 3. Well maintained 4. Cook (Kanchan) & caretaker (Usha) were very polite and helpful 5. Food cooked by Kanchan was very tasty 6. 1km walking distance from Mahabaleshwar market and Wilson point 7. Bella, Pixie & Dodo (3 dogs of the owner) made it a memorable stay; especially Pixie who welcomed us with a hug 8. Garden was lovely with lots of flowers Feedback: 1. Geyser in Bedroom 4 (ground floor) was not working properly during our stay. 2. The door of bathroom of Bedroom 1 (big room on 1st floor) only opened half way and then got stuck. Then one had to push hard and it made lot of noise before it fully opened.

I recently stayed at this beautiful 3BHK cottage near Pawna Lake, and it was honestly one of the most relaxing experiences I’ve had in a while. The view from the property is absolutely stunning — you wake up to a calm lake and greenery all around. The place is spacious, clean, and exactly like the pictures. Each room has an AC and attached bathroom, which was super convenient for our group. The private pool was a great addition — well-maintained and perfect for chilling during the day. The outdoor space is huge and gives you a proper “nature retreat” vibe without being too remote. The host, Bharat & the Caretaker, Sanket was really helpful and responsive. Check-in was smooth, and he made sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a quiet weekend away with friends or family, close to nature but still comfortable, this place is perfect. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Praveen's home was such a pleasant and peaceful place to stay. More than the stay, we enjoyed Acha's home-cooked authentic Kerala breakfast, lunch and dinner. Acha even prepared pazhapori (banana fritters) almost everyday, on special request from my daughter. Praveen was very hospitable and arranged boatrides, sightseeing and ensured our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. A very humble family to stay with. We are looking forward to our next trip to Kainakary at Praveen's new home. Wishing good luck! Thank you Praveen and family for making our stay a memorable one.

Abhijay is a large airy and bright bungalow with a great view. It feels like how a home should with personal details and some rough edges. There’s plenty of room for a large group and it is a fairly comfortable space. The terraces and rock garden are standouts. The garden is landscaped with a lot of attention to detail and you can comfortably spend a couple of hours discovering its treasures. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials, crockery, and tableware. The only issue you might have (as a large group) is the number of washrooms. There are only two, but you know that going in. Overall, we had a great time. Vaijayanti is a warm and communicative host. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The place & amenities were exactly as described. The place was amazingly clean and well furnished. Perfect place in ECR with proximity to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

A memorable stay, we enjoyed every moment spent, walk in paddy fields, stroll and cycling by the river, the morning and evening boat rides. the best part was the complimentary boat pick and drop, my kids loved it. Venu Sir was there always ready to help, and guiding for the local activities, we would definitely like to visit agay

This is, hands down, the best Airbnb in Pune! Bina ensures this place feels like a true home away from home. Everything about the property is simply perfect. The host is incredibly courteous and goes out of her way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Not once did the property fail to feel like home. Nestled in a peaceful area, it offers the best of both worlds—close to everything yet beautifully secluded. The caretakers truly make this stay exceptional. I completely agree with previous reviews: they are the heart and soul of this property. The food is nothing short of amazing, and we didn’t feel the need to order out even once. Their specialty, the gulab jamun, is an absolute must-try! Thanks to Bina and the wonderful caretakers, we had an unforgettable experience. This property is a hidden gem and an absolute must-try for anyone visiting Pune!

5 star stay in all aspects. Beautiful views from both the rooms and the balcony. Waking up to a sunrise was an amazing experience in itself. Suria is one of the best hosts I've talked to so far. Arul was really helpful and took great care of us. Willingness to get anything done to make guests comfortable was clearly evident in them. Overall, a much recommended stay. Would love to visit again.

Me and my family including my two kids and my elderly mother stayed at Binod’s place for 5 days in early May. It was a wonderful experience and Binod made us feel like his family. He was helpful and went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable. My son loved the greenery, trees and the nature around - quite a different experience for a city kid. As my mother is elderly she could not go sight seeing much so she stayed in the house most of the time and Binod was just a phone call away wherever she needed anything. She really enjoyed watching the sea and ships from the verandah of the house. And not to forget, the delicious local breakfast Binod’s wife prepared for us every morning.

Absolutely loved our stay in Lonavla—gorgeous location, stunning views, and incredible food. Huge thanks to Barku, Sheetal, and Kavita for their warm hospitality and for making us feel right at home. Can't wait to visit again!

It was a great experience to stay at Villa Sephora with specious place and all required amenities which worked really well for us. Caretaker Maan Singh was a genuine and good person who was always responsive.

It was a great start to our vacation at Bissa Villa! Wonderful hosts who make you feel at home, the rooms were just as in the pictures. It's a quiet location away from the city rush. The food served at Train Hut was the best we had in our entire trip. They grow their own veggies and serve freshly cooked food. The location is ideal to visit all the ancient cities around. Would love to visit again 😍

Superbe emplacement avec une très belle villa et une superbe piscine. Selvie et Selva ont été des hôtes chaleureux et plus que serviable. Je recommande vivement. Le seul petit point noir est la route pour y accéder. Comptez 20 minutes de Habarana mais on s’y fait très vite. Merci Paul pour cette belle villa.

This was my second stay at Camper By the Bay, and it was just as wonderful as the first! This property is truly second to none—the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, the food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. My family had such a great time, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a classy yet comfortable getaway. It's a fantastic spot for families, kids, and even small parties. The views from the balconies are so peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind. I can’t wait for my next trip back to Camper By the Bay!

We had the honor to meet a great couple, who hosted us like family. We enjoyed Shoba's cooking thoroughly and Sahil's great stories and heart to heart conversation kept us engaged and entertained throughout our stay. Extremely warm people and very hospitable hosts. The property was beautiful and we made the most of the river to go canoeing everyday. We strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for some quiet time in nature and away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The villa is great .. Swimming pool is good .. The communication is easy and good .. Maybe the only one thing that if you are expecting a privacy in your staying i will tell you don't .. There is a nice guy his name Lalith he is a caretaker living next to the pool .. And offering us every help we need .. He is cooking good food .. Only that Colombo is about 25 to 30 minutes by car .
