This airbnb feels more like a home to me , and the way Manju has kept the place makes it look and feel like one too. This is my 6th visit to the compound and honestly, I'd probably shift my travel dates to make sure I can stay here. Each time I also notice new additions, such as additional lighting in the house or cute trays in the bathroom that have essentials. Manju is such a warm host, and makes sure she checks in to see if you need anything. I'd highly recommend this place ( and their other listings) if you're visiting Bangalore or even if you wanted a quiet getaway as a local. Highly recommended!

Basil teacher, as she's known around, is one of the most meticulous hosts we've come across. The place is surrounded by lush sylvan and the Meenachil river. It's quiet and wonderful. The quarters we stayed in has such an amusing history to it. It's got beautiful furniture that are at least 70 years old. The home where Teacher resides is over 170 years old and is a stellar construction. Basil teacher is a generous and thoughtful host. We had informed her that one of us has an ankle injury, and coincidentally or not, we found an ice pack in the refrigerator. The kichenette has everything you need. Despite it, she'll happily offer coffee in the morning. The breakfast is heavenly. Special thanks to Shyamala chechi as well, who is the helper. Teacher will also tell you a bit of local history which is very interesting. In all, it was a wonderful and peaceful stay for us.

The stay was absolutely perfect! The property looked exactly like the photos on the app, with no surprises. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was easily accessible yet felt wonderfully private and peaceful. The beautiful garden and the dogs on the property who’d greet us whenever we went out and came back..added to the charm, creating a calm and homely atmosphere. It was the ideal place for a relaxing getaway, and we had a wonderful vacation. Highly recommend!

We had a great 1 week stay at Poonam and Srikant’s farm house. It’s hard to believe such a beautiful, green and isolated (once you are inside) place exists within the city. It was not just refreshing but a warm and comfortable stay as well. We had a great time during the stay and especially during the special northeast lunch hosted by them. The best part about our stay was playing with the two Beagles adopted by them, they are adorable and we are already missing them. We look forward to visiting the place again.

What a lovely stay in the tranquil canals of the backwaters. While different from many other air bnb's we've stayed in (there is no private kitchen, for example), Praveen and his family's upstairs space is a nest of comfort! With two large rooms, each with separate bathroom, and a large common area, it is a half in and half out living space with a beautiful vista over the canal. Papa is an unbelievably generous and skilled cook, who delighted our tastebuds with "Kerela specials" and made our kids favorite requests (coconut pancakes!). He even made us some lemon and mango pickle for the road! Praveen's mother is a sweet kind presence, too. And not enough good words can be said about Praveen as host. Willing and generous with time, his network of connections allowed us to experience and enjoy all that this region has to offer...from kayaking to sunrise boating to errands in Allapy city--Praveen helped with every one of these with grace and humor. Thank you all!!

Regarding the place - This place offers travelers a unique and immersive experience by allowing them to stay in a local's home rather than a traditional hotel. This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The host provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions. There were many such places nearby which ppl have access to from this place. As a whole this place was amazing and I recommend everyone who is travelling to Kodaikanal to stay at this place for a peaceful home like environment. Regarding the host - Communication was seamless! The host was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. Maintanence of the environment was top notch. Nandu is an exceptional host — warm, proactive, and incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, offering numerous local recommendations perfectly tailored to our tastes. He even kindly fulfilled requests that were beyond our initial agreement. The food was simply outstanding! We had the pleasure of trying a variety of local cuisine, and every dish was a delight. The property itself is serene, peaceful, and stunningly beautiful. Watching the sunsets from the balcony was a truly magical experience. To top it all off, when we accidentally left a phone behind, Nandu went the extra mile to ensure it was safely returned to us — a gesture we deeply appreciate. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay, especially if you're traveling with friends. Highly recommended!

It was a really nice stay. Bandula was a friendly host and gave tipps for sigiriya. The breakfast was a a really nice top on. We would recommend it and its a good location to slow down a little bit and reach everything good in sigiriya.

I needed a place close to the metro for commute , what better place than Dikshas place for the same. The place is clean & was cute ; looked like what it was in the photos. Flower & fruit markets extremely close by to the place. Comfortable , clean & cosy place. Thanks for hosting .

The home was very well kept and right opposite the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Deena is a wonderful host. The airBnB itself however needs a lil work as it’s brand new like a good motor for upstairs rooms and perhaps a bug screen. Apart from that the property is absolutely beautiful! Deena and family took really good care of 12 of us. She offered jeep ride from her estate which was a 10/10 experience! Overall we had a really good time!

as listed, a perfect place for a quiet stay. welsao beach is close - 5mins drive (not walkable). beach is splendid - miles and miles of clean beach. decent eating options in a short drive radius. place itself was well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there - initially there was a wifi hiccup but got sorted in reasonable timeframe. thanks a ton to Lincoln. looking fwd to staying here again soon

one of the most serene places I've lived at. The place was beautiful with backwaters just out the backyard. Had a lot of fun with friends.

such a great place to plan your stay at ooty. yes, it's a bit away from ooty centre, but worthwhile. We had a great time there, the food was also spot on. we will definitely recommend the property to our friends and colleagues. If you are looking for a good, spacious stay for a large group (10-15) and a bit away from the traffic of ooty centre, go for it. Mini bar, wifi, Tv, bonfire, cool staffs NB: don't miss the sunrise from the balcony.

I would highly recommend this place, the place is near the airport so it makes it easier to travel, The host is really helpful. The host arranged basic breakfast items for us and his wife also made cake for us. It felt like we are staying at our own home.

Overall the stay was simply superb. Also the location is very near to most of the important places I wanted to visit. Owner is very much responsive and we felt it's the safe to stay. Enjoyed the stay of 4 days. Thank you Telukunti sir.

Hi Ravi, Thanks for hosting us, we celebrated our son’s first birthday here and it was a wonderful stay and we enjoyed the various activities that were present on the property, the swimming pool and the garden area were we played cricket was the highlight of the property. The garden was also big enough for the decoration we planned and was very well lit even during the night The food served during our stay was also top notch, all dishes were actually appreciated by everyone, it was very delicious and served hot The caretaker and the chef were also available whenever needed and were just a call away which also really helped All in all will definitely recommend anyone looking for a stay with good amenities and looking to spend good family time.

Such a relaxing and refreshing stay at Gaia’s Garden Guesthouse. We really appreciated the peaceful surrounds and beautiful nature. Everyone we encountered here was so genuine and kind, we felt right at home. This was perfect place to explore Auroville and learn about the community, whilst the guesthouse is some distance from the visitor centre walking around helps gain in depth perspective, and it was very easy to hire bikes to help us to get further faster. Thank you so very much for having us!

The surrounding of the stay place is very scenic, you will feel connected with nature. The host is very accommodative of requests. We were able to check in almost 7 8 hrs early. The house was pristine and can accommodate 12 to 15 people easily. You can also avail food for a very reasonable cost. Moreover, you can also ask for a bonfire, BBQ setup etc. Overall: Stay worth the pay.

Solivagant is a little building on a terrain with a few other accomodations (Exuberance Stays) in an amazingly beautiful environment. I had a very pleasant stay. Bhijit (the owner) was informative about how to get to the location and I felt very well taken care of with all the help of Pranav (the caretaker of the accomodation).
