An enclave beside the Lola Sayong compound, the overall design of the house is inspired by Brutalism owing to the greyish-white sands of the coastline of Buenavista beach. Many of the items in this space were repurposed and reused from our grandparents' ancestral houses and our family home in Pinontingan. We also want to live sustainably so most furnishings were sourced from local artisans, secondhand marketplaces, surplus stores, and even junk shops.

My place is close to the beach, surfing camp, and other scenic spots around and nearby towns - Gubat Heritage Museum, Tulay sa Tibo Mangrove Reserve, Agoho Forest Reserve, Bulusan Lake, Hot & Cold Springs, Paguriran Island, etc. You’ll love my place because of the people, the ambiance, the outdoor space and most specially because of the stunning sunrise and romantic full moon view from the deck. I feel so lucky to have found Lola Sayong. I’m used to kubo and kulambo living (nipa hut and mosquito tents) so this place welcomes back that part of me. The place is clean, well-maintained and well-loved by Bicolano hospitality. We were taken care of like we were good friends. Lots of spots for busy people to excel in doing nothing and enjoy wind and wave. Thank you Ate Kat, Abby, Kim, Nico, Anton, Ata and Johnmel the OG doggo of Lola Sayong for treating us like family!

Really great host! I had some special requests (e.g. extra monitor for remote work) and they arranged that for me. When there were some problems with water and electricity, they informed me promptly about it. Pleasantly surprised with the amenities that weren’t listed. The place is quite far from the center and somewhat noisy (since there is a workshop just beside it) but it’s a home away from home and very cozy so I didn’t mind 💖
