A great place to stay to explore beautiful Exmoor. The second time we have stayed there its clean, cosy and comfortable with fabulous views of the coast and access to great walks.

We stayed in The Schoolroom in Barbrook, North Devon – a stunning historical building that's been beautifully renovated. The space was once an old schoolroom, and you can really feel the history all around. Our hosts, Carolynn and Roland, were absolutely wonderful. So friendly, welcoming, and available whenever we needed anything. We ended up chatting loads during our short stay and honestly felt more like we were visiting friends than staying with hosts. Carolynn even arranged a lovely local dog sitter for us, which was so thoughtful and kind. The Schoolroom itself was peaceful, spotlessly clean, and finished to a really high standard – underfloor heating, a spa-like bathroom, log fire, comfy bed with soft sheets, and all the home comforts you could want. The location is incredibly quiet, with the soothing sound of a river just outside, and a fantastic dog-walking path right along the riverbank. It’s also very dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. A truly memorable experience.

We enjoyed an overnight stay on the top floor of their lovely home. We only wished we could have had a few more days to explore the beautiful countryside! Christina met us at check in, and showed us up the stairs to our suite (a little tricky, as we're 60+, but actually fine at my slow pace). It is a lovely space with superb views over the garden and church. The sunset was spectacular!! The kitchen had everything you need to prepare a meal, which is our preferred routine when traveling. And the fresh croissants, butter, milk, juice and jams as well as little treats were very thoughtful. The suite was private & cozy, but we did need to go through the main house, which wasn't a problem at all. Christina and Anthony were friendly and gracious hosts, and we enjoyed our brief chats with them. They respected our privacy. The linens were crisp and clean, and the bed comfy. After check-out we walked to the church and enjoyed the village. We hope to return for a longer visit next time.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were there for 10 days from the US to attend a wedding. The flat allowed plenty of space for my family of 4 for the duration. It was nice to have a kitchen and be a short walk from 2 grocery stores. The town is beautiful, and people were so friendly. Staff at the Crooked Swan were a dream. We got to know several of them during our visit. A few recommendations: House instructions would be ideal. The WiFi network and password wasn’t posted, so we had to email the Swan, and it took a bit to get it sorted. It took us a few days to figure out how to open up the large ceiling windows throughout. There’s a pole in the primary bedroom to do it, but we didn’t realize what it was right away. It was very hot when we arrived, so that would have been helpful to know at check-in. It also would be great to have a large broom or vacuum, as the floors got quite dusty over our long stay. Overall, we loved it. I certainly recommend to others, especially families.

What a lovely place to stay and enjoy what Glastonbury and Somerset have to offer. Such great communication from Kirsty, a nice surprise welcome. Comfy beds, well equipped by a generous host. And 3 mins walk to beautiful pubs, shops, restaurants and the Abbey. Just as described.. a quiet place to rest after all that exploring. Five ⭐️ for us

Helen's place is lovely, comfortable and well equipped. It is perfectly located for exploring the area: Athelney Marshes (where Ælfred the Great burnt the cakes!), quirky Glastonbury and the Tor, Wells and its magnificent cathedral, etc. I have stayed here several times and would not hesitate to come again.

I highly recommend this property. It is a 5 minute walk from the Avenue. Great views. Everything was exceptionally clean. Very comfortable and warm. Amazing shower! Communication was excellent.

A super Airbnb which I would definitely use again. Clean and tidy with a safe back garden for Teddy (dog). Lovely and modern interior, coop just around the corner and easy to walk into watchet, the shops and pub there and also to the beach. Holly communicated really well and have us a little longer on check out day. This was really appreciate as we had been in the area for a friends funeral and were shattered. Fantastic !!! Booked this home as part of my wifes 70th birthday celebrations for 6 adults and 3 grandchildren aged 3,6 & 9. Tracy met us on arrival to show us around this wonderful house and pass on everything we needed to know. The house in real life is better than the photos. It is so spacious and as my granddaughter said Tracy has thought of everything there is so much for us to do. Tracy also left us a lovely home made cake. The kitchen was a great communal place with a 10 seater table overlooking the amazing outdoor space via two sets of patio doors. A great way to start the day. All rooms were a good size. Outdoors there is a beautiful large garden with a trampoline for the kids, a gas bbq for the adults a barn with a table tennis table and a host of toys and ride on vehicles for the little ones. Go through the gap at the end of the garden to the very popular tree house Nobody wanted to leave after a fantastic couple of days. This is a great house.

We really enjoyed our stay over Christmas. The house was beautifully decorated and very accommodating for our family of 10. Lesley was a very attentive host and we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Lesley and John.

Six of us spent Easter weekend here, and honestly I can’t fault it. The views from the veranda are breathtaking and the hot tub is such a lovely treat. Had all the amenities listed, and great spaces inside and outside the house to relax. The house is 5-10 mins walk to glastonbury town centre while feeling super peaceful. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay here, perfect for a break away from city life! Big shout out to Alex and Rob for being great hosts, they were friendly, responsive and helped us with any difficulties we had. I loved that they had a chimnea, which allowed us to enjoy the beauty of a fire pit and the night sky. There is a river behind the house, which we loved exploring the area of. Would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful getaway, around nature.

Lovely homely cottage with everything that we needed. Conveniently right in the middle of town but tucked away so was still really peaceful. Comfy beds, good shower, and kitchen with all the mod-cons. Will definitely look to return!

Our second stay at Annie’s place was just as good as the first! We stayed for Christmas back in 2018 and this year came again for Easter with my parents and brother, which meant we could relax at the Airbnb and also visit my husbands family who live locally. A fascinating building in a lovely quiet location - we loved the big kitchen and sitting around together in the lounge in the evening. Would recommend and hope to stay again one day.

Absolutely loved our stay! The place is just as beautiful as the photos—if not even better. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly helpful, providing great recommendations, clear instructions, and super quick responses. Their hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. The steps to the apartment from our parked car were as described. They are super steep & narrow. Not for kids, or if you need to push a push chair. Not for anyone with mobility issue. Apartment is super clean and tidy. Please be aware that this is a place surrounded by forests. You’ll get insects and slugs in the apartment which freaked my city son out haha. I think it’s because it’s summer as well. So if you’re like my son - might not be a place for you lol Really easy to walk into Lynton with nice cafes and restaurants. There’s only one tiny supermarket in Lynton so bring plenty of supplies. Kitchen is equipped with a kettle, hob, toaster and oven. A microwave would be handy. Bring your own oil etc if you’re staying longer and plan to cook. Bring your own toiletries although handwash & toilet rolls are generously provided. I think this place used to be a bed & breakfast as all the rooms in the Penthouse have numbers on the doors. Very quaint and cute.

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect. The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we could possibly need. The beds were super comfortable, and we especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with great tips for local attractions and making sure we had everything we needed. The location was also ideal – close to everything, yet quiet enough to truly unwind. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sam’s - place was as described and did not disappoint! The only slight downside was that the check in instructions were slightly confusing and we got slightly lost initially - we looked for an apartment labelled 30(1) on floor SF and eventually figured out after some time that it meant apartment 30 on the second floor. Other than that though, fabulous stay and would thoroughly recommend to all! We were especially impressed with how well-stocked the place was, amenities wise, and all the electronics and kitchen ware provided were top notch :)

We had a lovely stay at Mari's. A haven of rest and relaxation in such a peaceful environment surrounded by nature. All our needs were met in this thoughtfully arranged apartment. We would love to come again.

A peaceful and comfortable residence for a happy weekend away in this beautiful and interesting corner of Somerset. The Airbnb had everything we needed: comfy bed, big walk-in shower and thick towels, a nice lounge area with a good reading light and TV, and a kitchen equipped with all the essentials for holiday cooking.

Fabulous stay in this beautiful, clean apartment! We were really comfortable and appreciated all the thoughtfulness that went into our stay. Check-in was really clear, there is parking nearby and it is within easy reach of all the amenities Glastonbury has to offer. We would thoroughly recommend!

We had a lovely stay. It was a good location. The Old School Room was really lovely. Very quiet location too. A bit chilly in the main bedroom then I found the heater and all was good. Very comfy bed. We mainly contacted Vinesh who was very helpful and responded really quickly to any questions. Would definitely stay again and recommend it. Frome is very nice to visit lots of interesting and independent shops.
