amazing place, couldn't ask for a better location, host and facilities

We stayed for two nights and felt relaxed and calm. From star gazing to playing garden croquet, we filled our time. The pool was great but be warned it’s cold! Once you’re in you are fine but it takes a few minutes to get submerged. What was really thoughtful, and much appreciated, was the home-made scones on arrival. Maureen and William were very sociable and very kind. We would love to visit again.

we stayed here to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with friends and had a fabulous time. Beautiful location, very peaceful and relaxing. Good kitchen and comfy beds.

Had an incredible weekend at this beautiful house, a group of 21 people for a hen weekend. The house is huge and lots to offer - a pool (it had just been opened for us which we were thankful for, I personally found the water very cold but good to have as an option), hot tub which was lovely, cinema room, games - football table/pool table and board games, karaoke (£extra), IPAD to connect music, BBQ we didn't use but a great idea, also has a bar provides a cocktail shaker. All bedrooms have an en-suite and there was so much space. We had a takeaway from a local indian and chinese which was very nice. The communication from Gill and her son George was beyond what I expected, we had many questions from the time of booking until we visited and their responses were great. George greeted us on arrival to show us round, great service! The only downsides there were a few long hairs on the sofa and the wifi was a bit slow but other than that no faults and I can't rate this place highly enough!

We had a lovely stay at Jonathans place. Very quiet and peaceful but great countryside around and lots to do with family within easy drive. The facilities were great and so nice to have access to the pool. Great place for a getaway with family.

We had a gorgeous stay! The place itself is stunning and the furnishings extremely tasteful and comfortable. I would happily go back. Very much an elegant home from home!

Our stay at Poachers cottage was really wonderful and exactly what we had wanted. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the cottage was so thoughtfully and beautifully done. The facilities were incredible and we were very lucky to have the pool to ourselves with beautiful weather when we stayed. There was loads for our toddler to do and Adele had any bits we might need for him. I am pretty heavily pregnant and between the pool and the very comfortable beds I had a wonderfully relaxing stay and anytime I needed something, somehow it was already there in the cupboard or in the bedroom. We couldn’t have asked for more. Home made cake and local bits when we arrived and all. Honestly I’ve been so torn on whether to keep this place all to myself but I couldn’t help but rave about my holiday when I got home and have had 3 friends ask for the link to go and stay!

We had an a amazing stay. The home was so comfortable. I was visiting with 7 friends so they set all the room as single beds which was perfect for us. The pool was so nice and we enjoyed an evening swim while watching movies on the projector. The area is so peaceful and there are some lovely pubs nearby such as the litton. I would love to visit again!

Thank you Isobel for a wonderful stay in the annexe of your beautiful home. Peaceful, quiet, surrounded by nature. Quick drives to Longleat, Frome and Babington House - perfect weekend away. Great Airbnb to take a dog and toddler, they both had fun exploring the garden. Isobel was so kind and helpful setting up a cot and highchair for us too. Thank you, we'll be back!!

Perfect location to stay for a few nights, Walkable into the town which is beautiful. Lovely surprise having a welcome basket on arrival. Kitchen has all the things you would need. No problems during the stay but Lorraine messaged to see that we settled ok. Wonderful break highly recommended. Great host great home! Thank you Lorraine and family x

Once again we have had a lovely stay. This property is clean, warm and comfortable. It is very well equipped and ample space for the family. Excellent value for money. We will definitely return.

Although the cottage was old it added to its charm. It was very cosy & comfortable for our one night stay. Lavina greeted us on our arrival & was friendly & made it clear we were to ask her if we had any problems which we did not. The field opposite the cottage owned by Lavina was a great place for our dogs to have a charge around. Am sure we will be back to stay again on our way down to South Devon. It’s a great half way stop.

WOW! This is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! If you’re staying in Glastonbury but want a peaceful place to stay (which is ten mins from the walk to the Tor) just book it ! The house is absolutely stunning but we spent most of the time in the garden which is out of this world and very private. The hot tub was a huge bonus after a trip into town to relax away from the crowds – Sophie has made her home so welcoming & its perfect for a group. The beds are so comfy and all you can hear is birdsong each morning – its is so gorgeous and tranquil. The location couldn’t have been better – we went into town to eat (Queen of Cups is fab) one night but stayed ‘home’ for the rest of the time. Chalice Well & White Springs also within walking distance (down dirt track). Celebrated my 50th here and from start to finish it was the perfect weekend. Thanks so much Sophie. Brilliant venue with lots to do for the children. Rooms were all good sizes, the kitchen was really well stocked and the games room and hot tub were perfect for the kids. A great find!

We have had an absolutely fantastic weekend at Hill House for my sisters Hen do. From the incredible building and surrounding gardens to the little touches like fresh tulips, cake, Prosecco and local cheese we were really made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil or pot you could possibly need. The dining hall is magnificent, the hot tub is huge, the beds are comfortable and the gardens are just stunning. When a shower was blocked, Bobby arrived within an hour to help! We are already planning when we can next visit Hill House and were all very sad to leave! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Mandy’s place! Beautifully decorated, fabulous views of the lake and extremely clean and well organised. The property is spacious and had everything we needed for our trip. Mandy provided us with lots of great recommendations including the New Inn which we visited numerous times for its excellent food and lovely views! Mandy was a very responsive host and made sure we felt welcome! Would happily return and definitely recommend for a trip to the Mendip Hills!

Spent the week here with our whole family. We had a fabulous time, the house is perfect, we had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Fiona recommended places to go/things to do with the children and was very helpful with any questions we had. Thoroughly recommend!

Such a lovely home in a beautiful location. The setting is gorgeous. We were lucky enough to have dry weather so made the most of being outside. There's plenty of outdoor seating, the hot tub was wonderful and we also enjoyed a bit of outdoor table tennis! The house is lovely and spacious. Beds all comfortable. The kitchen was missing a few essentials we felt, such as a decent frying pans, large mixing bowls, but there's plenty of crockery and glasses. Charlotte was very quick to respond to any messages. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

Group of five away for a birthday. Sadly let down last minute with another accommodation, found Jennifer’s place and were able to check in within the hour. Amazing stay, brilliant house, felt extremely comfortable- home away from home. Enjoyed the privacy. Hot tub was amazing. Location is great. Blake House was so perfect for our retreat. Plenty of space and so many beautiful nooks and crannies all thoughtfully decorated with care. All of the attractions in town were easily walkable and we had no trouble getting around. We will definitely stay there the next time we come to Glastonbury!

This place was exactly how it was described and absolutely spotless. The house feels really spacious and comfortable. Castle Cary was also a beautiful location which we’d love to come back to. Thank you Roger and Ann for being such great hosts!

Lovely homely cottage with everything that we needed. Conveniently right in the middle of town but tucked away so was still really peaceful. Comfy beds, good shower, and kitchen with all the mod-cons. Will definitely look to return!
