Small cottage with charm at Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk upwards from the parking lot. Here there is simple life without electricity and water. The road up is a nice trip, a bit heavy some lots. Recommend going upstairs before dark. Remember good shoes and warm cloths. At the top, the prize awaits, flat and nice with lovely views:) Bunk bed in kitchen, sofa bed in living room. Remember sleeping bag+pillowcase, bed sheets are in the cabin. *Road fee NOK 50,- *Remember drinking water! Dishwashing water is available in the cabin *storm kitchen/portable *Outhouse

The cabin is located by Tinnsjøen lake with parking right beside it. It is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Beautiful views, plenty of sun. There is no running water in the cabin, but water tap just outside. Free wood for the wood stove. When there's frost and freezing temperatures, there's no water in the tap outside. Water must be collected from the host. Rowing boat is available for free. Outboard motor 1-3 days NOK 400,-

Distance to Solseter with marked trails is 1 km. Golsfjellet is a mile away. The cottage consists of kitchen with wood stove +2 hotplates, bathroom with shower cubicle and fireplace toilet, loft and living room with double sofa bed. Heated with wood and electricity. It is possible to rent bed linen for 75 kr per set. Private parking outside the cabin.

Accessible by car during summer and winter on a snow-ploughed private road. 4x4 recommended during winter, but I can be of assistance if conditions for your 2-wheel drive are rough.
