Vacation rentals with lake access in Slidell

Had a great stay. House was super clean. Neighborhood is quiet. Easy trip to the beach. Had a very enjoyable time at the house. Will stay again.

Fantastic spot! Great house, great location, great host! I came with some friends from New Orleans for my 40th Birthday weekend. On Benjamin’s recommendation we rented a pontoon boat from Costal Pontoon Rentals and had dinner at the Jourdan River Steamer and it was, quite literally, absolutely perfect! House was clean, neighbors were nice, beds were comfy. Easy check in/check out. The only things I would note are: 1) if you have mobility limitations then this house would be difficult for you (lots of stairs); and, 2) bring extra pillows if you’re using the bunks (they are awesome bunks, all doubles/queens and the mattresses were so comfy, but we only had one pillow each- though they were long and comfy pillows and there weren’t enough of us for that to be a problem, so this is just an fyi). Loved this spot and we’re already planning our next stay! Absolutely loved it. <3

We had a great stay! Our original booking had A/C problems when we checked in, and thankfully, James owned the property right next door, and opened that up for us to stay there! Both properties are beautiful, clean, and have great views of the lake and marina. Plenty of space for families to gather. James was highly communicative during our stay. Thanks for opening up both homes to us! We would definitely book here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bayou Life. The outdoor space was picturesque, relaxing and spacious. Inside the kitchen was well equipped, the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Any time we had a question, Morgan replied quickly. He gave several great local recommendations. We would definitely stay here again

Enjoyed our stay! We were originally set to check in Monday however due to last min changes, we asked the host if we could check in Sunday instead. The host responded right away & was flexible with us doing so. They also replied back quickly when we reached out twice asking them questions during our stay. Place was overall comfy. I absolutely love this place. the host was amazing and he made sure that we felt welcome. he check on us to make sure we was okay and suggested a lot of nice places for us to go around the area. My mother-in-law and kiddos enjoyed their stay! Maddy was an amazing host! She knew that GPS wouldn’t take them to the home so with her patience and help they were able to find it no issues! The area was quiet and serene. The pool was clean and lovely to swim in. The home itself was beautiful and clean as well! All and all it was an amazing stay and perfect for a little getaway!

Absolutely stunning outdoor pool area landscaping; peaceful and private. Loved the hot tub! A big bonus for our fam was the secret back yard door leading to the Abita Roasting Co restaurant. The main floor of the house is fairly accessible, just a few small stairs, for older guests that was nice. Loved the interior vault and beams in the main room. Property manager was very responsive and kind.

Excellent location. Not far from the city but still peaceful, with the waterway canal right out front. A major swamp tour with hotel pickup was a block down but honestly it didn't seem to impact the serenity of the location. House was clean and had everything we needed for the stay.

Our stay at the Bayou Boeuf house was Amazing! The house was immaculate and extremely organized. Carolyn is an exceptional host! Her attention to detail throughout the house is incredible. She even thought ahead to bring in a baby bed for my grandson, which was greatly appreciated. The backyard is beautiful, and we enjoyed peaceful mornings on the back patio drinking our coffee. We had a delicious dinner at Trudy’s one night and walked to Zam’s for a swamp tour one afternoon all of which were recommended on her page. My family loved this beautiful house and felt right at home. This home definitely exceeded our expectations!

We had a great stay at Jayson's home. The house is very well stocked with everything you need. The layout of the house is very functional, and the deck was a great place to relax and socialize. It was so close to our planned activities. We were there for riding bikes on St. Tammany Trace and a jazz concert at the Dew Drop Jazz & Social Hall. Jayson's house is very close to the trail and is a 5–10-minute bike ride to Dew Drop.

Blume cottage is in excellent location. Old historic Mandeville is great. Accommodations were awesome. Wonderful weekend

We had a great stay. We loved the amenities, especially being set up for a family with small children. It was nice not having to pack the sound machine, baby monitor and pack and play. Beautiful home in a great spot!

This place is beautiful. It looks even better in person than the photos. The entire property is so pretty and peaceful. The living area is really large and it worked perfectly for our large family event in the area. We had a nice big place to hang out after the event. We used the kitchen to feed up to ten people with no issues. A note for coffee drinkers - you don't need filters for the coffee maker, it has a reusable one. We did run out of paper towels, and there wasn't enough dishwasher soap for how often we used the kitchen, so we had to provide our own. There also wasn't access to any cleaning materials so when we had a spill on the carpet we had to get our own cleaning supplies for it. That's not the owner's responsibility, just wanted to point it out for those coming later. You're going to love your stay here!
