In our garden, there is a traditional Japanese architectural storehouse (a building for safely storing household goods, merchandise, etc.). We renovated a warehouse into a residence. It is a building that very few people build today. Meals are not included. Cooking is not allowed. There is a sink, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and fridge. There is a washing machine (free) (no dryer) The bathroom is a shower room (no bathtub) This is a private rental for one group per day. It is completely separate from our house. Privacy is secured. There is nothing shared with other guests, such as showers or toilets. About 9 minutes on foot from JR Shingu Station. 1-minute walk to FamilyMart (24-hour store) There are also Japanese style pubs within walking distance where you can eat fresh sashimi, sushi, and Shingu's specialty, mehari sushi, so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat. (The shops close earlier than in the city) We have 6 bicycles for rent. (free)　 Parking for up to 2 cars is available in front of the gate (free of charge on the premises). Shingu is located in the middle of Kumano City, Nachikatsuura Town, and Hongu, so you can use this as a base to tour the World Heritage Sites.

It is a 25-minute walk to Kumano Hayatama Taisha, one of the three mountains of Kumano, a 15-minute walk to Kamikura Shrine, and great access to Nachi Waterfall and Hongu Taisha Shrine. Guest House Agae is a renovated traditional house that can only accommodate one group at a time. It is in a very convenient location, about 550 m (about 7 minutes on foot) to Kumano Kodo and Kinkou Oji, a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and restaurants (Shoji Teahouse and Tororo-ya). The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to accommodate your questions and advice about walking the Kumano Kodo, as well as pick-up and drop-off when you need it. We can also provide personal guides, so please let us know. Prices do not include meals. In autumn, let's walk, hike, and go to the hot springs in the town in the winter! You can also pick up and drop off within the check-in time in Hongu Town.

Our house is called Kamikura-Hideaway. It is a small 50-year-old house located at the foot of Kamikura Shrine. Contemporary artist Fulbrn revived it as the art piece "Narrative Space." Since this house once served as a geologist's hideaway, bits of history are scattered throughout the building. Our uniqueness has even been featured in the travel media AFAR, reflecting our commitment to a memorable guest experience. We hope you will enjoy touching someone's story "floating" around the room.

Would you like to stay at a Sushi house in a fisherman’s town? *Next door, there is my sushi restaurant, which serves delicious Japanese cuisine. *Free WiFi. *You can relax. Because it is limited to one pair per day. *We are renting out 4 easy-to-use bicycles for free for you to enjoy strolling in the area. *We prepared various guidebooks about the local area for you to enjoy. *3-minute walk from sushi house, There is the biggest shopping mall in Shingu. It is convenient to buy food etc.

Only 1 min. from the station. Cozy House in Kumano

1 minute walk from Shingu Station. 2 minutes from the bus stop. It is a Japanese-style house with a small Japanese courtyard. You can try on valuable samurai armor, helmets, and bridal gowns (kimono)for free. The house is reserved for a group of 3 or more people per day. Please relax as if you were at home. We usually accept up to 8 people, but we can accommodate up to 10 people on request. There is a convenience store in front of the house, which is very convenient.

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area.Also I provide two bikes at the house. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Kumano house

between kamikura shrain and hayatama shrain at the walk 10min. It takes 15min by walking from house to JR Shingu Station. There isn't anyone in the house. You can relax very much. Other things to note. This place has an official permission from local government and satisfied fire safety as a short term rental accommodation. Please note that we have legal obligation in Japan to request copy of passports.
