Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Shingu

I enjoyed my stay at Genki House. Yuki is very friendly and bakes really tasty bread. The accommodation is very large and clean. It is in a quiet neighborhood away from the touristed areas. You should ask to pick up groceries/food/anything else you might need before arriving to the Genki House.

This is a cozy, cute and spacious. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would suggest the host to simplify the check in process. It’s self check in. Each person in your party will have to take a photo with passport on the check in pad. You won’t get the passcode without taking photos. I uploaded the passport photos prior to check in so I didn’t understand about this process. We had a large group and the people who arrived early couldn’t get into the house until everyone arrived.

Beautiful neighborhood and clean traditional Japanese family home. Especially hospitable owners although they couldn’t speak English!

This is such a beautiful home. Would have loved to spend more time here. Beautiful view of the sea and mountains. The host was extremely helpful and considerate. Everything we needed in a home was provided for including pasta, rice, sauces, cup noodles. All these came in very handy as we arrived on Sunday, tired from a long trek and there were no restaurants open. Tea was provided from which we could brew hot tea, great after a long walk in the rain. Host was very responsive and friendly. Staying at this guest house is one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommended for anyone considering a quiet getaway in rural Japan.

Loved our stay with Jun. perfect host, speaks English, lots of tips about the trail as she is also a Guide. She lives locally so popped in to make sure we caught the early bus and wish us goodby. Her place is immaculate, kitchen had everything you need and fabulous layout for 4 adults comfortably. Mattresses futons but super comfy! She also arranged for our luggage to be picked up by her cousin and sent on last minute as we had arranged the stays and hike on our own and hadnt been able to coordinate luggage transfer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and delighted to have met you Jun!

There is no inconvenience except that the toilet and bath are separated.It is an inn that I would like to stay again.

place as described, great water pressure and everything i used in the apartment is functioning well

I honestly loved staying here. Although the property felt a little old, it was very clean and comfortable. The apartment was very spacious. The internet was very good. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was quite large with a decent sized refrigerator. There's a vending machine outside with both hot and cold beverages. The apartment is located in a small locality just outside of town, and located a short drive from both Nachi Shrine and Nachi Falls. The host was very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. I had an extremely comfortable stay, and I look forward to staying here again!

Stayed here to explore the surrounding nature. location was very close to most of the restaurants, which made it very easy to grab dinner at the end of a long day and be 5 mins away from home. provided blankets and beds were very comfortable and felt warm and welcoming. It had everything we needed and we would definitely stay again!

We had a brief stay and were very pleased with this property. The location is conveniently walkable from both the bus and train stations. The home offered everything as listed, and the beds were quite comfortable. Check-in was a breeze, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

I appreciate that the host introduced local restaurants and attractions. The location is a bit inconvenient, it would be better to drive there. The room was clean but a bit old.

Fully furnished kitchen in the room, clean, warm and comfortable linens, clean toilet, dedicated parking space.When checking out, the boss's wife came to greet us and take photos.This is my home with my family visiting Rico and Fumio.I will be able to stay again in the future!
