The place is nice and clean, it is in a quiet neighbourhood. Host is extremely responsive too, it is a team working, so there will be someone to attend to your message whenever. The house is walkable to 2 stations (Umeikoji-Kyotonishi and Nishioji), though I would recommend Umeikoji-Kyotonishi station especially if you have luggage with you. There are convenience store, Starbucks and a park upon coming out from the station, so it’s great for some quick pick up at the end of the day while you’re heading back to the house. The railway museum is also right by the station. Both stations are 1 stop away from Kyoto station, I really liked that because it is easily accessible and at the same time away from all the busy hustle at Kyoto.

such an amazing experience in Kyoto，you can feel the history of this house yet with brand new decoration，me and my family definitely love it！we bought grocery in the market near by，fresh and tasty. The only drawback is probably that I'm not used to soft pillows, but this is very personal. by the way, I like that blackout curtains. They prevent me from getting up as early as the sun.

Instructions are great, the place is still a little hard to find. But oh so worthwhile. It's a great part of town. Close to interesting things. Quiet. Well connected. We loved having space and room to live. It was warm, clean, and well appointed. Really appreciated having a washing machine. Drying upstairs worked well. Even in the middle of winter. The hosts are really responsive and helpful. This place is a solid base for exploring kyoto and osaka. Thank you.

Amazing experience we’ll never forget. Yukiko made us feel like family in her home. A true bed and breakfast experience. She even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station! Yukiko’a place is perfect rest stop for couples travelling around Kyoto/Osaka. Cannot be more positive about the amenities and local recommendations. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

We used it as a group of 6 friends.The interior was stylishly renovated, which was even nicer than what I saw in the photos.We had a very pleasant time because it was well cleaned and we had a very pleasant time. I was also grateful to be able to smoke in the courtyard. The host responded quickly to emails, explained how to open the lock, and was willing to change the check-in and check-out times. The key is a digital code type, so I was able to come and go freely, and I felt at ease. Great place to stay worth more than the price. I will stay again if I have the opportunity. The host was very nice and offered us to check-in as soon as the apartment was ready, and check out as late ad possible before the next guest arrived. The place was very spacious and the tatami was extremely comfortable. It was also very quiet! It was a bit cold in the bathroom but there are air conditioners on both first and second floor. Otsu station is not too close (about 10-12 minutes walk) but it is only 2 stops away from Kyoto station which is relatively convenient! All in all, it was a pleasant stay for our first trip to Kyoto! 😊
