We offer one of a selection of clean and convenient rooms for up to two guests in each. Please note that the actual room number and access to the room will be shared with our guests on the morning of check-in before 10 am and is based on availability. We regret that we are unable to accommodate room preferences based on the listing photos, or layout configuration type and we will assign a room based on the availability only (similar to a regular hotel). Please note that we cannot accommodate requests for room layout preferences. We would like to kindly thank our guests for their understanding in this regard. We are located 5 minutes on foot from Kyoto's Gojo station on the Subway Karasuma Line and offers direct access to Kyoto station within 10 minutes from the apartment. Our 20～20.5 m2 non-smoking room has been furnished with two single beds put together to form one large king size bed at 190 cm x 210 cm (two beds put together) to sleep up to two guests in total. Please note that unfortunately we are unable to add extra beds or adjust the sleeping arrangements. We have also made available free Wi-Fi in all rooms. Please note that we do not provide pocket Wi-fi and guests are kindly asked to rent this themselves at Kansai airport or at Kyoto station's Tourist Information Centre. In addition to the above amenities, our property also features air-conditioning units that can be used to heat or cool each room to our guests' preference. Our HD TV has a HDMI port in the rear so our guests are welcome to use their streaming devices. Please note that Japanese terrestrial TV is not available. Guests are welcome to log in to Netflix etc but please do so with your own credentials. We also have a bathroom with a bath and shower with shampoo, conditioner and body soap provided, along with one toothbrush, and one face towel and bath towel set per guest. We also have a separated western-style toilet that comes equipped with a washlet system. Each room has its own microwave. Please note that there is only one coin-operated laundry machine in the building, and there are no cooking facilities or laundry machine in each individual room. The coin-operated laundry machine is located in a shared area within the building. The laundry machine cost is to be covered by each guest. Our building is equipped with an elevator to assist with heavy luggage of those with mobility requirements. A full, photo-guide and map to the building will be sent upon the completion of your reservation. Please note that there is a smoking room located inside the entrance to the building and that there may be some residual smelling smoke in certain areas of the property. Please take this into consideration if you are pregnant, or have a sensitivity to smoke. Please also kindly note that we are unable to guarantee certain rooms or 100% honour requests to be placed on certain floors. We are unable to move rooms after your check in has been completed due to capacity. By making a reservation with us, you acknowledge these conditions.

A private rental inn "Atan" quietly stands on the banks of the Gojo Takase River This space, where natural materials such as cedar, earth, and Japanese paper breathe quietly, blends into the city of Kyoto, but the flow of time feels gentle. There is a small courtyard through the bathroom window. Just by soaking in the hot water and letting yourself go with the view of the changing seasons, your mind will melt away. Space, quiet, and a little bit of luxury. This is a place for those who want to enjoy time doing nothing rather than packing their schedule while traveling. Wake up in the morning to the soft light through the sliding doors, and end the day quietly at night while watching the shadows fall on the garden. The time here is memorable not only for what you see, but also for the temperature of the air, the feel of the soles of your feet, and the quietness of the sounds. It's nice to talk to someone, or to spend time alone. I hope this place is a place where you can take a little distance from your daily life and check your own outline. The name "Ootan" we wanted to create an inn where you can encounter landscapes, air, people, words, and stories you have never encountered before. A little story will surely be born in this space where you spend your time.

[Kyomachiya Rental] 115-year-old Kyomachiya · Takasegawa Shichijo

The private rental accommodation "Takasegawa Shichijo" is a fully renovated 115-year-old Machiya Townhouse. The Machiya Townhouse, which forms part of the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been remodeled into a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation performance while retaining its original structure, so that you can have a comfortable stay even in the humid and hot summers and harshly cold winters that are unique to Kyoto. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the tsubo garden, which is designed in the image of a "roji" (*a garden leading to a tea room). In addition, we have provided a sofa in the hallway so that you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time while looking at the illuminated tsubo garden. There are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor: a Japanese-style room with 2 single beds and a Western-style room with 2 single beds. If there are 5 or more guests staying, we will lay futons in the Japanese-style room on the first floor and use it as a bedroom, though it is a bit of a hassle. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and dishes for simple cooking.

It is a 10-minute walk from JR Tanbaguchi Station, and appears in a quiet residential area near Shimabara Daimon, a world cultural heritage site, Nishi Hongan-ji Temple, which is a remnant of the flower town. This facility lined with eight buildings has an open-air bath and a rim side where you can see the exterior and tsubo garden with lattices and curtains that are characteristic of the Kyomachiya. Each building has been changed, and it is a wish that it is worthy of a journey where you can feel the detailed and rich sensibility unique to Japan and reflect on the scenes of the story.

You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

At the center of Kyoto city, you can visit anywhere easily.
