Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Shimla

I was initially quite skeptical about booking this place, especially since I was traveling with my parents. But I’m so glad I did — the property was calm, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. We even got to witness the most stunning rainbow I’ve ever seen! The helper on-site was extremely responsive and went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Overall, a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

The stay is away from all the city rush...with modern amenities...the place is very quiet...especially thanking Rajendra...the care taker over there... Took special care of everything that we needed... The house has some plumbing issues that needs to address... Other than that..its a must visit place..if you're looking for some peace and quiet ..with some delicious food and beautiful aesthetics.

My stay at Mountain and Peace was exactly what the name promises—pure peace in the mountains! Tucked away from the crowded parts of Shimla, this place offers stunning views, clean air, and a calming atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing getaway. The property was well-maintained, the room was clean and spacious, and all amenities were in place. What I really appreciated was the hospitality-the hosts were warm, helpful, and made sure everything was taken care of. Waking up to the sound of birds and sipping tea with a panoramic view of the hills was a highlight of the trip. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a serene and scenic stay in Shimla, away from the chaos but still well-connected.

Humble homestay was a gem that I found. Coming from Mumbai, I wanted a place that is quiet and has nature all around while having the basic amenities that one needs. I was mesmerised by the view outside the balcony. Spent hours just staring at the distant mountains The House : Exactly as described. Clean, spacious and having all the amenities as described including a small fridge. I loved making my own food in the kitchen. The Area: Its beautiful. The walk down the road is so picturesque that I used to wake up everyday & take a walk first thing (which is so unlike me). The surroundings would heal me everyday. You can see nature everywhere - birds, clouds, trees and ofcourse the majestic mountains. The area is very calm , peaceful and quite but it also has the basic requirements: shops, medical store, restaurents and the bus-stop within 2 minutes of walk. There is also a small gym closeby. Hosts: Tashi aunty and Gagan are very helpful and friendly. I can't recommend them enough

We had a great stay at Deepak’s place in shimla. The property is well-built with peaceful surroundings. Deepak as host is extremely welcoming and helped us throughout our stay. He guided us all through the way before check-in, provided suggestions on places to visit in and around shimla and also provided good home-cooked food. He is very nice host and made our stay a memorable one. Property is clean and spacious for 4 people with nice view of the valley as well. Also, there is sitting area at the terrace. There is parking space as well.

Staying here was an absolute delight! The space is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Every corner reflects a sense of warmth and care, making it feel like a home away from home. The location is perfect and peaceful yet close to your needs. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and attentive to every detail, making the experience even more special. The house is taken care and managed by Sandeep bhaiya, who is available for our groceries and little requirements, throughout. The stay was really pleasant. A fully functional bnb with the best view. The house was close to the mall road yet away from the hustle bustle. If one wants to spend some peaceful time with friends or family, this is the place to be. Anjali is an amazing host and helps you with everything that's important. The house caretaker Bishamberji was really helpful. It was an excellent experience.

Great place to stay , peaceful location , scenic views helpful host, and great caretaker Suresh. The upper floor bedroom with attached garden sitting was the highlight of the place and is better than what it looks in the pictures. Pl follow instructions from the caretaker to reach the place specially after reaching Victory tunnel/ RADISON . Over all a 5/5 place for a short vacation, definitely recommend to visit once .

This was my second stay at Rachit's place and this time it was even better than the first. Well maintained like last time with even better decor and lighting. Raju Bhai and Susheela didi were always eager to help in whatever way possible. The drive is a bit in the last km but that doesn't bother me as I am used to hill driving and consider it a small price to pay for the views which are waiting once you check in. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the city but not too far to be a hassle. Simply loved the peace and calm, the balcony and its views.. simply loved the experience. Thanks Rachit for having us over ! was an amazing time spent.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and tidy, with everything well-organized and spotless upon arrival. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful—peaceful, green, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was well-maintained and fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, which made cooking easy and enjoyable. A special mention to the caretaker, who was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our stay. They ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed, without being intrusive. Overall, the property offered a perfect balance of comfort, cleanliness, and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-kept place with great support from the staff. Would definitely love to return!

i am late in posting the review because of my travel but have been wanting to post it as soon as i got out of there.loved every bit of my stay at plumcove.the neat and tidy.views are just as shown in the pictures.the icing on the cake is the services of the caretaker,Ajeet and the cook.delicious meals,fresh and home cooked delivered at your doorstep. you will not feel like going out as the place has evedything you will need for a comfortable stay.the owner ensured that our stay there was as perfect as we could imagine.will definitely come back...

Staying at his place was truly an amazing experience. When we initially planned our trip to Himachal, we had decided to stay at his property on the 9th of May. We left for the trip on the 8th, but unfortunately, the situation between India and Pakistan escalated that very night, and we had to cancel our plans and return home. Early on the 9th morning, I messaged him to inform that we wouldn't be able to visit and also requested—though with little hope—that he might consider a refund. To my surprise, he was extremely kind and refunded the entire amount, even though it was a same-day cancellation. We finally visited his place the following week, and it was absolutely wonderful—well-managed, peaceful vibes, and a great caretaker. If you're ever visiting Shimla, you can confidently choose to stay at his property. Highly recommended!

If you are planning a trip to Shimla then this place should definitely be on your shortlist. The place is exactly how it's described in the photos. Spacious 3BHK flat with beautiful view of the mountains. However one thing to note that since the flat is located on the ground floor as usually what happens on the hills, you will be parking your vehicle higher up therefore you will have to use stairs while reaching the flat. This can be a small issue for elderly people in the family. Other then that, this is a fantastic property and I would recommend this property to anyone who is planning for vacation in Shimla.

Chirag was an exceptionally helpful and thoughtful host. We had forgotten our charger while checking out, and he went the extra mile to place it safely on the main road for our convenience. His prompt assistance saved us a lot of trouble. We also faced a bit of hesitation while driving through a sharp cut on the way, but Chirag guided us patiently and even helped manoeuvre the vehicle. His local knowledge and helpful nature really made our trip smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for both the property and the hospitality!

I would definitely recommend this place for friends groups and families as well. I visited with my family, including my kid. It was so comfortable and nice staying on their flat. Every grocery item will be available in the shop within the premises. Didn’t find any discomforting factor on staying there.. Nice and cool place to stay. The place looked exactly like the pictures, which was a big relief. It was well-organized, had a beautiful view from the window, and felt cozy with all the essentials provided. Vikramjit was very friendly and guided us through everything right up until the end of our stay.

Had a wonderful stay at Ritu's place in Shimla! The location is peaceful, the view is absolutely stunning, and the property itself is clean and cozy. Ritu is a lovely host—very warm and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with beautiful surroundings!

More than what we expected. Attendant was nice. Place is quiet and peaceful which we were looking for exactly. Could managed parking in neighbouring car wash station named “Titli”. Neighbourhood was nice too. All over a great experience

Our stay at Jimmy's Homes was amazing—it felt like a secure, luxury apartment in the hills. Each room had a beautiful balcony view, and the apartment was ready before we arrived. It was well-equipped with amenities like a washing machine, water purifier, and heater, and the showers were especially relaxing. The living room was cozy, with a cute study table. Mrs. Poonam, the caretaker, cooked us breakfast, which was a lovely convenience. You can bring groceries or buy them from the complex store, but it opens at 10 AM, so carrying snacks or essentials is recommended since food delivery isn’t available after midnight. The password-protected lock was great, though a safe in the master bedroom would have been helpful. We noticed occasional static shocks, possibly due to a grounding issue, but it was minor. The house was well-lit, airy, and 10 km from Mall Road—peaceful yet accessible. We had a fantastic stay and sincerely thank Anuj and Mrs. Poonam for making it special!

Located in the heart of the Mountains, this place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The apartment was absolutely spotless and beautiful, The host provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions.The host was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish.
