Absolutely wonderful stay – even better than the pictures! The place is exactly as shown in the photos – beautifully maintained and spotless. While the drive can be a bit tricky due to limited mobile network along the way, the destination is absolutely worth it. K&K have done an exceptional job keeping the property spick and span. We truly enjoyed every moment, and our family spent half the time just admiring how well the house was maintained. Every detail is thoughtfully taken care of, with clear instructions throughout the home. The beach is just a short 5-minute drive away, and the patio offers calm, scenic views – perfect for watching the sunset with a cup of coffee, either from outside or even from the dining table. The welcome gifts were a thoughtful and lovely touch – bonus points for that! We’ll definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back again.

Private and beautiful surroundings. The private creek access is the best part. the house itself is very clean and we'll maintained. The 3 pieces surround sound system is awesome surprise for us to enjoy the music all day. Susan is very responsive and proactive. We had a great time here.

Philips place was amazing. We loved the location and loved views. It was clean and inviting and fully stocked. Everything we needed was easy to find and utilize. There is a kids park feet away from the home and the property has sheep! So many awesome wildlife encounters at a safe distance. We seen a fox, deer and we could hear the seals. We enjoyed our stay and will be back soon for another visit. Philip is a great host and was very responsive when we had a few questions. Check in and out was easy. Thank you!

Great location, ocean view from the deck to enjoy a glass of local wine. Very friendly and responsive hosts. The neighborhood is so quiet that you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean crashing into the rocks. The house was clean and well equipped. Abundant wildlife roaming the streets. We really enjoyed our stay in a hidden gem of Shelter Cove.

We came down from McKinleyville to enjoy a weekend at the river! This place was a perfect home away from home for us. Clean, easy to find and had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed the sauna, walk in the meadow, BBQ on the deck and played board games and pool. The home was spacious and comfortable.

Host Jarod was super responsive. I only had to reach out one time and it was for something I wasn't doing correctly. Our girl trip was more than we could have ever asked for. The amenities offered made our stay soooooo simple! This location is fully stocked and offered anything you could ever ask for or need. It was so nice to have a nice washer/dryer available! The pictures of the rooms don't do them justice, and the beds were very comfortable. The bedet in the master suite was a HUGE surprise! Haha. All photos on the airbnb site are very accurate and of course our favorite spot was sitting out on the deck taking in the gorgeous views and sunsets. During our stay there was even a mild earthquake in Fortuna causing ocean waves to get jump higher and break harder which was a site to see. Dangerous and beautiful all at the same time. Instructions left for guests could not be more clear. We are already thinking about another trip and when that happens, we'll definitely return here!

Shelter Cove is a hidden gem in California & this house is the BEST way to enjoy it. The house is directly on the ocean! The views from the living room, kitchen & my bed room were absolutely spectacular. The house was so clean. The sofas were super comfortable. The downstairs bathroom has a huge tub & the water gets really hot. Multiple beaches within walking distance & lots of sea lions near the lighthouse! Mario's bar & restaurant is also walkable and we met so many kind locals there who told us a lot about Shelter Cove. We saw deer grazing the grass all over town everyday. There's even a shower in the garage you can use after going to the ocean before entering the house. The host's were so kind to leave us a complimentary bottle of local wine & a nice note for us upon entering the house. We had such a great stay here and will definitely be coming back in the future. We were so lucky to find this place. Thanks Todd for letting us stay at your beautiful home!

Discovering The Lost Coast for the first time! The location of this space is breathtaking. So much natural light and the sound of the ocean waves. Perfect sunset view and peaceful space. With a lovely coffee shop and great food down the street. Everything we needed to explore

This listing was a great location for exploring the redwoods! The cute exterior is matched on the interior. Comfy living space and fairly equipt kitchen! Would recommend for anyone who needs a place that’s a drivable distance to exploring the surrounding areas.

Overall nice place! We had a hiccup getting into the house but Alessandra called me very fast and we solved the problem in minutes.

We loved our stay in Shelter Cove at Marc’s home. We enjoyed our time in the large deck hanging out and listening to the ocean. Ocean views are plentiful from multiple locations in the home and property. We had gorgeous sunny weather all weekend long. The sunsets from the top deck were amazing. This home had everything needed for a wonderful family vacation. There is plenty of room for everyone and the home is so clean and comfortable. Truly home away from home! We enjoyed exploring Shelter Cove during the days and coming back to the home in the evenings to cook dinner at hang out at the house. The beds were so comfortable. Wow! It was an amazing view and beautiful, peaceful home. It was also walking distance to restaurants which was convenient for me and my husband. We also were only few min away from black sands beach and hiking trails. This was the perfect honeymoon spot for us!

Lisa’s apartment is the perfect rest stop!! Highly recommended!

We stopped at Simy’s for two nights during our honeymoon! The house and the beach were breathtaking and we enjoyed the quietness of the area in October. A few cute little restaurants and coffee shops but overall small town feel which we loved and we had everything we needed! Honestly, one of the absolute coolest places I have ever lodged at!

Had an amazing night staying at your place, The Exquisite. Check in was easy after getting cell service. My group, of 4, loved having a working, clean hot tub with a view after getting off the LCT after 4 days. 10/10 will recommend and will definitely keep your place in mind when we plan for our next trip at shelter cove.
