Shell Beach is halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles on California's Central Coast, which makes it the perfect stop for some wine tasting and outdoor adventure. Within walking distance there is a beach (best to visit at low tide), restaurants and coffee shops. My home is an original 1950s bungalow. Per guests requests, I made few upgrades — new windows, space heaters in every room and a dishwasher to boot!

Our cottage is a COST EFFECTIVE alternative to hotel rooms! It is single story for easy access, no common walls with a FULL kitchen. It has an outdoor yard for bbq and kids play. The cottage has one dedicated parking spot in the driveway. The parking space is limited so we are not able to accommodate oversized vehicles. Our cottage is 1/2 block to the beach and 2 1/2 blocks from the pier. It is located within walking distance of all downtown shops and restaurants.

We had an enchanting stay at the Wren House. Our excellent host greeted us and showed us around, which made us feel secure and at peace in a somewhat remote canyon location. The place feels like an elegant, artful resting place nestled in a private corner of a ranch. Beautiful wildlife and native garden, wonderful location to rest & recharge.

My husband and I had an excellent stay here while vacationing in Avila Beach. The location can't be beat. I'd bet this apartment, with it's sunny patio deck, privacy, and stellar views is one of the best spots in town. It was an easy walk to the beach and to all of the local shops. There are bikes you can use to ride through town or cruise along the Bob Jones trail. The listing owner was very friendly and responsive to our questions and requests. I can't recommend this Airbnb listing enough.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Spencer's place. The unit and location is great and we met some of the neighbors, who were wonderful. Convenient walking distance to everything in Avila and we enjoyed using the record player. It definitely brought back some memories. Spencer was quick to respond and went way out of his way to be helpful when i forgot a bag. I highly recommend it.
