The charming village and very good restaurants, also in the farts market a lot of seafood and fish. The beach of Camposancos five minutes by car spectacular and quiet. Rui, your host, was brilliant and as effervescent as a freshly poured flute of fine French champagne - so much so that one almost needs to lie down and rest after having a chat. He loves his tree house and is extremely proud of his construction. One of the nights of our stay they had the fiercest storm in nearly 20 years - 100 kph winds, slashing rain and intense lighting and thunder yet in the morning both we and the tree house was still in the tree - can't say much about sleep but what an experience. It is, indeed, a magical experience. If you are coming by rental car, and a stickler for detail, be aware that you must drive over gravel roads for a few kms, which for most rental cars is not covered in the contract but if you drive in a mature and rationale matter who will ever know. Like how many people can say that they actually resided in a tree house. Just do it.

Few words reflect how good our stay at Iris D'Arga was. João and Astrid are lovely hosts who make you feel at home from the start. The house is beautiful and well decorated and equipped, even inspiring. The pool is great for spending great summer afternoons. And Serra D'Arga is magnificent. For those who like trails, biking, waterfalls, fauna, etc., I recommend it 200%. If you don't like any of that, the recommendation is the same because there is no shortage of things to do around Covas. In short, super recommended and we still came away with a great memory of wood from such a wise workshop with João.

We enjoyed our one month stay at Box House very much. João was friendly and helpful, offered local recommendations, and also brought us beautiful oranges and lemons from his garden. The home is beautiful and chic, but more than that, it is well equipped and we had everything we needed to feel comfortable, cook our meals, clean and do laundry.
