We have restored an ancient bread oven on our little farm to make a cosy retreat in a quiet corner of the Dordogne. The kitchen and bathroom combine modern fittings with ancient beams and stonework while the comfortable sitting room features a log burning stove and the original paddle for the old bread oven, found when we started the renovation work. It is an ideal base for an active holiday (many options nearby)but the nightlife consists of sharing the stars with the owls and a bottle of wine.

Located in the heart of a small village bordering the Dordogne and Haute-Vienne, a few minutes from many tourist sites: Château de Pompadour, Ségur-le-Château (among the most beautiful villages in France), Uzerche (pearl of Limousin), and less than an hour from Collonge-la-Rouge, Turenne, the Plateau de Mille Vaches and Les Monedières.

Come and enjoy the calm of the Limousin countryside in a pleasant little studio house. The accommodation includes a kitchenette, shower room, room with a 140 bed and dining area. The small house is heated with a wood burning stove. Guests can relax on the terrace. The property has a large garden. The house is 12 km from the A20 highway and 30 minutes from Limoges. For two-wheeled travelers (bicycles, motorcycles) I have a barn to shelter them.

There are nice villages nearby, with markets, hiking trails, swimming lake and pools within driving distance. The gîte has a private parking space and an enclosed garden. Pets are allowed in consultation. Parties/indoor smoking and vaping are not allowed.
