Words will never fully express the peace of heaven that is Garden Cottage. From the moment we drove down the long driveway, we knew this was going to be very special. The cottage was pristine, beautifully furnished, equipped with all you need for a stay. The views were out of this world, we were lucky with the weather and saw some stunning sunrises and sunsets. Penelope was extremely friendly and encouraged us to walk around her lovely fields and see the horses , so much wildlife to see , swifts flying around , deer in the distance, the sound of birdsong in the morning and evening. Close to Rye and Hastings , nice pubs in the surrounding area. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend this beautiful accommodation, thank you Penelope. Tracy & Pat

Beautiful country house with some incredible views, very warm and welcoming, felt at home instantly. Our stay was relaxing and peaceful with lots of country walks and a visit to Rye which is close by.

Beautiful apartment looking directly at Battle Abby. Everything was there that was needed. Was a cosy place that was beautifully decorated and felt very much at home. The only problem we had was not a result of the host but bad timing, there were roadworks being done at nighttime right in front of the apartment and parking was extremely limited due to this. We had to park on the opposite side of the town and with my wife being disabled made things more difficult. But other than that we were very happy with our stay.

Great place for a weekend in the countryside - Christina was very contactable and friendly at check in. The best feature is definitely the large bath in the bedroom, and despite it being a old, charming cottage it has very modern fittings! We’d fully recommend staying here!
