Bayview Bliss - Northumberland Retreat. NewBiggin

JohnRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Love this place, right by the beach, and a beautiful beach too. The host was so responsive and helpful from start to finish. The place was immaculately clean, just as described, lovely and warm with all the utensils and appliances working exactly as they should. Easy to walk to town, with a Co-Op and pubs and restaurants there. Shower pretty good too. Family bathroom and a small but useful en-suite to the main bedroom
A swim spa is set in a spacious garden, featuring a tranquil blue pool area alongside a separate section for relaxation. Surrounding fencing provides privacy, and the area is complemented by greenery and a playhouse in the background.

Lovely caravan with sea view Sandy Bay

JoanneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely break. The position of the caravan overlooking the sea is one of the best on the site and it had everything we needed. We’d very happily go back for another stay.
A comfortable living area features two leather sofas, one with decorative cushions, and an area rug centered on wooden flooring. A wood-burning stove is situated against a stone wall. Large windows with plaid curtains allow natural light to brighten the space.

The Old Milk House

JennieRating, 5 stars16 months ago
Russell and Clare are great hosts who have created comfortable, well-appointed accommodation which is warm and cosy in winter and I imagine light and airy in summer. The beds were lush. The shower is great - powerful and consistent temperature. Eppleby is peaceful with walks from the cottage, a local shop & tea room - very friendly - and pub. It's a great location for exploring Richmondshire and Co. Durham. We had a relaxing short break at The Old Milk House and hope to return.

Boutique Fisherman’s Cottage - 2 mins from beach

NaomiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had not been to the area before but were delighted with the accommodation and with Cullercoats. The cottage was stylish and luxurious, ticking all the boxes for a really comfortable bed, great shower, well-equipped, excellent kitchen and everything you needed for a short stay or a longer one. The upstairs ensuite bedroom had a lovely sea view and was really peaceful. The downstairs double room and separate bathroom were practical as we had family visiting. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and the location was superb - the cottage was minutes from the beach, a small supermarket and the Metro. You could walk from the door into Whitley Bay or Tynemouth. The beach was excellent and we swam in the sea. The coastal pathway between Whitley Bay and North Shields with its separate cycle lanes will be a wonderful asset and parts of it are already completed. We settled in really well and very quickly and were a bit sad to leave. Thank you to Vikki.

Hall Yards Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. The attention to detail and the welcome pack made us feel at home straight away. Even the dog was included with a blanket and water bowl. It’s in an excellent location to explore Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman forts, as well as Corbridge and Hexham, both worth a visit. These are only a short drive away from the village of Wall itself, which is very picturesque and peaceful. All in all we had a great break in a great place.

We had a great time here at Sootybabe, It was exactly as pictured with easy entry and access. Clean and comfortable with all that's needed for a place between exploring. Blackhall Colliery had an awesome beach just 10 mins walk away and we enjoyed our time in the Hartlepool area. Durham was picturesque and the cathedral was spectacular and a true architectural marvel. Good food and beach in Sunderland. Could've spent several more days just exploring Newcastle very friendly and lively. Bamburgh Castle was magnificent and is a must visit for all those interested in British history and the Last Kingdom TV Series Exhibition is awesome for anyone who is a fan. Thank you very much Arlene for the help and recommendations.

Murton Farm Steading

This house is absolutely insane. The photos do not do it justice, it’s stunning. We came for a hen weekend. we were not there to party, we wanted a chilled weekend and that is what we got. All the rooms are absolutely stunning. We were overwhelmed how nice the house was. The gym, hot tub and sauna just adds to how great the house is. I can’t forget the games room upstairs, that was an added bonus too and was just amazing. I would 100% recommend this house for any families or friends wanting a nice chilled weekend. Mark and Sarah are always there either by email or phone and are quick to sort out any issues. Each room is clean and stunning ready for you arriving. What an amazing house. We were all gutted to leave as it was so lovely. Will definitely be going back.

Lijie en Costa were such warm and welcoming hosts. We arrived late and due to circumstances were a bit late for dinner but nothing was too much for Lijie. She arranged a meal for us and really was extremely accommodating. The room was more than we expected - spacious and comfortable and everything was fresh and clean. I can also really recommend the restaurant next door - the food was absolutely delicious and there is lots of parking. We really had a good nights rest - it is a pity we only stayed for one night but if we are ever in that area again, we will certainly return.

There was every appliance and utensil you could ever need. Patrycja was extremely helpful and on replied very quickly with any questions I had. I highly recommend this house and will certainly return to it, should I need to in the future. A wonderful host, thank you so much.

Spacious home with parking & large enclosed garden

JudithRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We enjoyed our stay in the cottage, it was a great space and we had everything we needed. It was lovely to have the lights on to welcome us and some very sweet Christmas touches, which were beyond what we expected. I should have gotten in touch with Rita re directions for the place as they don't come through. The postcode leads you to the right place, but it wasn't clear when we got there... But that was my fault. The space was great, a very cosy place to stay and relax in and really accessible (by car) for walks and getting to Durham. I had 4 teens with me and we all loved it. The beds were very comfy and the decor and linens were really nice too. Thank you! We enjoyed our stay! 😊

Outstanding 2 Bedroom Semi

BethanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
A real home away from home! The property had pretty much everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable, and the linen and towels smelled fresh and lovely. The sofas were also incredibly comfy. The blinds did let in quite a bit of light, which may just be a personal thing as I find it hard to sleep without complete darkness. A few small touches like milk, oil, and pepper would’ve been appreciated, but not a big deal as the corner shop was very close. The bottle of prosecco was a lovely surprise. It’s a genuinely beautiful place in a great location, with scenic walks, friendly locals, and lovely pubs. Easy to get a taxi into the city centre too. I can be quite particular, but this place definitely passed the test! Would absolutely recommend — thanks again!

Paddock Cottage

PenelopeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our first Airbnb experience and we have to say that the bar has been set very high. Our host Trevor was lovely, the area beautiful and interesting, and the accommodation excellent. There were plenty of great walks within an easy drive and it wasn’t overcrowded which made it all the more pleasant. Although the accommodation is great, it is worth being aware that the stairs to the bedroom may present challenges for some people, but if you think you can manage them, you will love this property. There are different options for heating, constant hot water and the kitchen has everything you need. The four legged neighbours are also friendly, if hungry; and my guide dog very much appreciated the lovely dog bed, fleecy blanket and flashing toy! Thank you so much Trevor, it would be lovely to be able to return in the future if we can manage it.

Beautiful cottage, games area was great, really enjoyed ourselves. Hot tub was lovely and the garden area at back was secluded and well maintained. Loved the outdoor shower , great before getting in hot tub but also useful for hosing down a muddy dog. All in all the cottage felt really homely and a little bit of luxury. Emily seems to be a lovely host and always responded quickly to any queries. Will recommend her to friends and family and would certainly consider coming back.
