Monthly Rentals in Schwanden bei Brienz

We loved our first trip to Switzerland and our stay at Heidi’s House. Heidi graciously picked us up from the train station and dropped us off for our departure early in the morning when we were running late. The home was well-appointed, very clean, and in a spot so beautiful it exceeded our expectations. Heidi welcomed us with delicious chocolate and extra touches that were appreciated. The location was great for seeing a variety of places- in 4 days we explored Brienz, Grindelwald, Jungfraujoch, Lauterbrunnen, Bern, Thun, Interlaken, Harder Kulm, and Lucerne. The walk to the train station is beautiful, quiet and easy.. be prepared for a steep uphill walk on the way back (or there is a bus stop close to the house). Absolutely recommend staying at Heidi’s!

Katja and Beni were wonderful hosts. The apartment has the most amazing view of the mountains and on a couple of afternoons we sat outside on the terrace in the sunshine with a drink. The interior was absolutely spotless. It looked brand new. Of all the Airbnb’s we have stayed in it had the most well-equipped kitchen, and a very spacious wet room shower in the bathroom. The location was perfect for us. I drove to Hasliberg Reuti (25mins) and got the cable car up to ski, whilst my wife went for walks locally, of which there were many. She used Swisstopo on her phone which is the most amazing map/tracking app. Katja was always responsive when we texted for help. We would definitely stay again when next in the area.

Wonderful stay at Jacqueline's. Nice quiet studio with views of the mountains. Beautiful sunny garden. The studio is impeccably clean and the bathroom is really great with the hot tub! We will return to this peaceful retreat to visit the suite and to see the turtle that was not in the enclosures yet... We recommend this place at all levels. Thank you Jacqueline for the gifts and for your kindness.

Barbara was an excellent host, very friendly and responsive. The place had all the amenities for someone who would like to stay an entire week. Walkable to the main strip in Brienz with the lake, bus & train station, restaurants and supermarkets. Having a rental car is beneficial as well, since the place is close to the motorways and roads connecting to the bigger cities. Highly recommended.
