Large, lovingly renovated farmhouse with sauna

The large half-timbered house of the cloth merchant C.W. Henke in Upper Lusatia: built in 1831 and carefully renovated with the original doors, windows and floorboards, Meissen tiled stoves, traditional linseed oil paints and historic wallpaper from the 1930s. On 260 m² there is plenty of space for up to 11 people, a large dining table for everyone, plenty of toys and a very extensively equipped kitchen. Depending on the season, you can enjoy the wild garden, the terrace or the sauna.

Friendly 50 m² apartment

Our friendly 2-room apartment is located on the 1st floor of the house. It has a living room with dining area, a separate kitchen with full amenities, and a bathroom with shower. In the bedroom there is a double bed. A children's travel bed is available and can be booked as needed. Another person can also find a place to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. The smart TV with Magenta TV and RTL+ provides entertainment as well as books and games.

Ottenhain Castle (Manager)

Ottenhain Castle has a very special history. From 1886-1945 it was owned by the Count Chrome family and was used as a kindergarten and community office in GDR times. In the attic, the servants' quarters were housed, which have now been converted into comfortable apartments. It has been in our possession since 2023. The manager's apartment can accommodate up to 6 people on 90 m²: A spacious bedroom impresses with its historic bed.

The 74 m² apartment is a duplex apartment with hallway, living room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and large balcony. Smoking is only allowed on the balcony or outside (non-smoking apartment). Outside there is a large garden with pool/pool house (seasonal use) and fire and barbecue area. Garage and carport are available. Wi-Fi, shopping in the village, use of the fireplace room is possible after consultation.

This has been rediscovered at the beginning of the 2000 years during renovation work. The old fresco paintings from the 17th century were restored with great effort. The house is off a road about 300 meters from a modern outdoor swimming pool in a very quiet location. In the neighborhood there are bungalows - some of them are occupied all year round. All the technical aids that a normal household has are available (washing machine,, fridge, TV, bicycles, grill, etc.) and can be used free of charge. Internet access is available for 5 euros/stay.
