Centrally located by the co-op and Cortes market and a ten min walk to lake. Surround by tress and lots of grass space. The property has cedar sauna for 6 to enjoy. Beautiful outside covered patio with bbq and very comfortable seating. Outside fire ring with chairs for you to roast marshmallows. Sleeps five with one queen room, a loft with a king and pull out is great for kids. Also a cot bed available.This cabin is a twin to the second cabin on the property. Very large kitchen. Lots of privacy

Enjoy a cozy getaway when you stay in our rustic cabin close to the ocean. Originally built in 1910 on skids as a logging cabin that was moved via railway from one logging camp to the next. It is now a fully renovated but still rustic cabin beneath the fir trees with beach access. Location is everything. 2 doors down from Palm Beach park, tennis court and minutes away from Eagle River and many lakes. It is tucked behind our log home. Wifi and smart tv provided. No laundry.

What a beautiful spot. Couldn’t ask for somewhere more peaceful, comfortable or private to enjoy some quality time in nature with family. Deborahs place is stunning and has everything you need to relax. Top tip : Bring eye patches to sleep if you are sensitive to light as it’s brilliantly bright from sunrise to sunset in both bedrooms ~ which of course maximizes on the incredible views and adds to the stylish look of the place. We will be back!

This is Campbell River, not a resort destination. The goal of our trip was to be by the river for fishing. This spot is perfect. Open door, take 5 steps and you're on the water to fish, or drive up 5 mins to an abundance of other fishing spits along the Campbell River. Space was perfect for the 3 of us. Space was clean and the kitchen is stocked well enough to make some home cooked meals. Perfect. Would come again.

This is a rustic cabin in a beautiful serene setting away from it all and reminded me of my grandparent's cottage in northern Ontario that I grew up with. The cottage has all the basics and we enjoyed a blissful week of communing with nature, yoga, hikes, swimming, and kayaking. The pictures in the listing are very accurate and it was perfect for us. The cottage is located in a quiet spot on the harbour with easy access to the water down a set of stairs. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed paddling around the bay and even saw whales on two afternoons (late August). Erin was a great communicator and the directions to the cottage and how to get in were great. Tip for future guests: The grocer on Cortes is small and Island prices, so consider bringing food. The host/owner uses/lives in this cottage so the fridge/freezer/cupboards contain some of their food and bringing food to feed a family for a week might not fit in the fridge/freezer, so might need a cooler with ice for extra space.

Mike was a fantastic host, always responsive and helpful. The entire process, from booking to departure was smooth. The place is actually three places in one, so it was awesome for us to spend time with our family friends and kids without feeling on top of each other. It's a very charming main wood home with two incredible smaller cabins, outdoor showers, and two decks...all of it felt like home. The location is perfect as it's an easy walk/bike/taxi from the ferry, and easy access to the general store, bike rentals, and south beach! Go to Savary, stay at Mike's!

We had a lovely girls weekend at Jane’s beautiful home. The view is stunning and Jane’s home is so comfortable and clean. Soft linens, beautifully decorated and she really had thought of everything to make your stay a 5 star experience. The beach out front is magical! Totally recommended!

The kitchen was well supplied with all the essentials, from toaster to pasta strainer to a bodum to salt n pepper, paper towel and ice packs in the freezer for extended beach picnics. The groundwater on Hornby contains enough sulphur to be noticeable, and may be a bit unpleasant if you are not used to it. The hosts provide a water for drinking. I had the option of lighting a fire in the woodstove but it was just slightly too warm to require one. Nice view of the ocean from the main sitting area. The morning sun greets you in your bed so I would recommend a sleeping mask! I also brought along a little AM/FM radio so I could listen to Hornby community radio on CHFR 96.5 FM. I recommend doing this.
