Vacation rentals with beach access in São Miguel Island

Maria and Joao were the nicest, most thoughtful hosts I have ever met. They went above and beyond to help me cope while my mother was in the local hospital. Their kindness and generosity of time and actions was humbling. Maria stunned me with a basket of breakfast items on the first day as soon as she heard about my situation. She checked every day to make sure I was okay and that I had everything I needed (without ever being intrusive). She put her heart into everything she did for and with me.Joao was incredibly warm and friendly. I will never forget this loving couple. I shall return to their place again and again to enjoy the gorgeous lodgings that felt like home from home. Despite some sadness, I have unforgettable memories of the Azores because of them.

We had a wonderful stay at João’s apartment which was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay (the fully stocked kitchen that included spices, oils and lunch boxes were a real bonus!). The apartment is located in a peaceful neighborhood, and while street parking was a bit tricky to find at times, the included garage spot made all the difference. João met us personally on arrival, and his warmth and deep love for the island set the tone for our stay. He gave great tips for exploring, and his hospitality was above and beyond, from fruits and cookies to being responsive, kind, and genuinely invested in his guests' comfort. We especially appreciated the quiet nights, comfortable bedding, and the view of Fogo from the balcony. Highly recommend as a base for discovering São Miguel, we’d gladly return!

It was our first trip to the island and we stayed our first 3 days at the Margarida house and it did not disappoint. Alvaro was extremely helpful and responsive with the entire process to make sure everything went smoothly. The apartment had everything you could possibly need and it was topped off with a little basket of local gifts with snacks and coffee pods. It was like staying at home with the apartment being so well prepared with towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, panini press, wine opener, coffee maker and fully stocked kitchen. There is also a side table filled with local activities and great recommendations of restaurants in a little culinary booklet of Ribiera Grande. Great value for a space that’s in the heart of the island with easy access to the airport and many beautiful spots to visit within a 30 minute drive. Thanks for the great stay !

One of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at — and I’ve been traveling a lot for a long time. An extremely clean and cozy little house next to a larger one. It has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay — tea, coffee, a coffee machine, and a lovely surprise from the hosts with local products, cheeses, milk, cookies for the kids, and juice. It’s amazing that there’s also a barbecue area with charcoal and firewood — especially since the Azores are famous for their beef. The hosts are very friendly, and there’s also a wonderful cat! The view of the ocean is absolutely stunning. I dream of coming back to this place. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality!

A Teresa e o Jorge foram muito prestáveis, sempre prontos a dar recomendações e a perguntar se estava tudo bem. Graças a eles, conseguimos ir a restaurantes muito bons que nos recomendaram. A casa era excecional e a localização maravilhosa. Recomendamos a quem possa e queira visitar a ilha de São Miguel, ficar nesta casa.

Epicenter was the perfect central location to explore Sao Miguel during the day, and enjoy the privacy of home at night. The neighbors are a little noisy so bring ear plugs but the amenities here made it well worth it!

5 stelle perché di più non si può mettere, i nostri giorni nell'appartamento 2 della SLOPE HOUSE sono stati bellissimi, l'appartamento ha una grande finestra e terrazza sull'oceano, la casa è ben arredata e ha tutti i confort. Anche la camera si affaccia su una via tranquilla di Lagoa ed è molto carina. Abbiamo trovato sempre parcheggio gratuito sotto casa e la posizione è comoda per visitare tutta l'isola. L'host José è gentilissimo, ci ha dato tantissimi consigli per il nostro viaggio, è stato sempre disponibile rispondere e accontentare ogni nostra necessità. Assolutamente consigliato, se dovessimo tornare a sao miguel non abbiamo dubbi su dove dormire. :)

Very clean place close to the beach and a number of restaurants. Inside parking. Host very responsive and helpful. The apartment is close to groceries as well and centrally located if you're looking to explore the island. This was our first time in the Azores. It won't be our last.

Manuela was there to greet us and show us around. She answered our questions and had local restaurant recommendations. ( Cais 20 was my favorites and within walking distance ) There also is another restaurant nearby Jardim do Mar, with a small play area for kids. The house was exactly as depicted and clean. The view of the water is amazing. This location is close to downtown and night life. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

I've stayed in hundreds of airbnbs and this was definitely one of the best. Even though it was just two of us, there was plenty of room for much larger groups. The apartment is centrally located and less than a 10 minute walk to the town and the beach. We had no issues finding parking in front of the apartment. The wifi worked great (~136Mbps) for two digital nomads that needed to have reliable internet. Guido was very accommodating and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Ponta Delgada

Lagoa is not part of the hustle and bustle of the city. We came during off season so I’m sure it’s much more lively on season. The home was gorgeous and had amazing views. The people were super friendly. When we wanted to get to Ponta Delgada we walked up a couple of blocks to the taxi stand and it was less than a 10 minute ride. (About 12 euros cost.) The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor space and open sliding doors made it feel even more tranquil in the mornings when enjoying our coffee.

Le logement est moderne, propre et bien équipé. Du balcon de la chambre principale on peut voir et entendre les vagues débouler sur la plage avec comme toile de fond la partie ouest de l’ile. Helena est sympathique et répond rapidement. Nous avons passé un excellent moment!

This place was great! It sits directly across from the ocean and the waking/bike path. We walked, even at night, and felt safe. We rented a car. Parking was tight but we were able to park next to the apartment. We would definitely stay again!

The house was in a fantastic location. We were two families of four and found it very accommodating. the location in the island was fantastic. Getting to the place was slightly tricky, but our Skida Fabria rental had no trouble as long as we folded the mirrors. The hostess was very accommodating and pleasant. It was as-advertised in every way. Thank you for a great stay!

Casa completa, amplia y limpia. Camas cómodas, y el exterior muy agradable. Está céntrica pero es muy tranquila. El coche lo puedes dejar a la puerta y puedes ir andando a comprar,. Nos encantó el detalle a nuestra llegada.

We loved staying at Antonio's place. The quaint grape vine covered area was awesome. The kitchen was very well equipped. Perfect accomodations. Going to sleep and waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean was AMAZING. We were disappointed that a couple of the towns best restaurants were closed for the season however there were places to eat and to buy groceries. It was great to have the fresh bread and produce vans come by in the mornings. We really enjoyed our time in Ribeira Quente. Thanks Antonio, can't wait to visit again!

Mon épouse et moi avons passé un excellent séjour chez Sara, notre hôte était très réactive et amicale pour répondre à toutes nos questions! Bel appartement en plein cœur de la ville de Ponta Delgada qui était très agréable à découvrir en marchant! Toutes les commodités étaient à distance de marche. Appartement très joli dans un immeuble hyper tranquille! Nous avons bien échangé avec Sarah et les conversations ont toujours été très cordiales. N ou us y retournerions sans hésiter si nous passons à nouveau aux Açores!

Vi är nöjda med Marianas lägenhet! Mycket tack vare balkongen lyfter lägenheten, den är helt fantastisk! Stor och med fantastisk utsikt! Mysigt också att strand och vattenfall är på gångavstånd. Det kan vara bra för er att veta är att det endast finns ett sovrum (med dubbelsäng) så om ni är fler personer så sover några i en del av vardagsrummet, avskilt med draperi. Mariana har varit tillmötesgående och vänlig i all kontakt. Positivt har också varit hennes tips på vad att se och göra på San Miguel.

Très beau logement bien situé pour ceux qui aiment les endroits tranquilles et typiques. Pour nous, c’était parfait. Si vous aimez le café au lait, je vous recommande le Café central à deux minutes de marches du logement, juste aux abords du parc central.

Excellent location for touring the island with our rental car. Greatly appreciated the lovely welcome basket of snacks and wine! Loved that we could buy extra wine and coffee supplies. Would definitely return!

Great apartment in an excellent location. Close to beach, supermarket, bar, cafe and on the bus line. Very quiet area. Our hosts were very gracious and friendly. Their hospitality and generosity exceeded our expectations to ensure that we were comfortable and that our stay on the island was enjoyable. Would most definitely recommend this apartment

They could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We were allowed an early check in and a crib and high chair for a baby. They reached out to be sure we had everything we needed before and during our stay. The apartment was clean, homey and near everything. We were very happy.
