Monthly Rentals in São Mateus

Our stay was amazing! Pico was our first island in the Azores, and in this studio you could see for miles to the neighboring Sao Jorges. Truly an amazing view and comfortable accommodations! The host was very responsive and even gave us a fan on some warm nights we had while staying.

José is hands down the best host we have ever had. He booked us a reservation for dinner on our first night in a great restaurant, was incredibly welcoming and communicated with us more as a local guide than simply a host. Thw wine tour is a must, the location is amazing and the adega is even better in person. We loved Pico but José and this house made it a honeymoon to remember forever.

Great house in a beautiful complex. We quickly made friends with the roaming chickens and peacocks and went to the sauna almost daily. Everything is in good condition. The living room is cozy, the beds are fine and the kitchen is also well equipped. The Pico weather couldn't harm us anymore and we also liked to just spend a day at home. Communication with Jörg was completely straightforward and helpful. The place definitely makes it into our top ten. Compared to other islands, Pico has a fairly relaxed tourism, especially in the low season (we were there at the end of September). In addition to hiking on enchanted paths and whale watching, there are also plenty of museums, so we didn't even get bored in the two weeks.
