Cottage vacation rentals in Santa Rosa

We’re very familiar with the surrounding area and this home is classic to the Russian River vibe. It’s easy to access Jenner Highland preserve, Armstrong woods and river activities. We found the listing to be accurate and very clean. We did not access the small secondary building but appreciated the hot tub. We also were glad we left our dog at home as there is no grass on the property and several stairs to navigate. It would certainly work for some dogs, but not ours was quite large. We did appreciate David’s immediate response to our request to edit our reservation when we decided not to bring our dog; excellent communication!

WE WISH WE COULD HAVE EXTENDED! This property shows better than the pictures with professional interior design, sweeping views, goats next door, grape vines in bloom, quiet, and Tracy was responsive. The hot tub was key to watch the sunset and enjoy the views. Also, it was so nice to have a separate space for my Dad while us kids took over the main home.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sarah’s place. Access to the river was a very short walk from the home. The house was clean and clear of clutter.

This was our second time staying at Red Door Retreat and we had another great visit. As before everything was exactly as pictured and described. Checkin was very smooth and communication with Brett was great. We particularly enjoyed the several nice outdoor spaces and the hot tub. Quiet setting but short drive to local attractions and Guerneville town center. Highly recommended!

Our second time renting from Tom but first time to this location. We had an amazing experience! The location is stunning and the house is cozy with everything you need. We used the gas grill and hot tub, both were easy to use and clean. Tom and his partners were super responsive and lovely to communicate with. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Our stay was lovely! The beds and linens were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The entire home was well stocked and it felt like a second personal home in terms of the quality of items - sharp knives, well stocked pantry for cooking basics, foil, etc. We brought two dogs and it was a paradise for them. The outdoor area is truly magical. The fire pit is great, the downstairs dog shower is handy, and the landscaping is sublime.

Zorelle was communicative from booking - Check out. He answered questions promptly, gave great recommendations and instructions for our stay. The cottage was as pictured and very comfortable. It made our "Bucket list" week the best place to recoup in the evening. We had a great time!

We had a great stay at Adam’s place in Monte Rio. The beds were both very comfortable, and the whole space felt really welcoming. The property is beautiful — the landscaping is well cared for, and the herb garden was such a nice touch for cooking. The kitchen had everything we needed, plus a great selection of cookbooks. The hot tub was a definite highlight, and the view of the river made the beautiful backyard even better. We loved being able to swim and kayak in the water, and the neighbors were friendly too, which added to the relaxed vibe. Would definitely love to come back!

We had a great super last-minute stay at Chad's place! Chad saved our ill-fated camping trip to the coast (we were defeated by 35 mph winds at 7:30 pm) - he got back to us within 15 minutes and even sent over someone with clean towels within 40 minutes. His bungalow was a super comfortable retreat for our two families with two toddlers and a dog - everyone loved the outdoor space! I can see it being too hot in the summer months without A/C but we were very comfortable with the fans on. For families traveling with kids, just fyi we were hoping to put the kiddos in the game room for bedtime but weren't able to do so as there's no bathroom access without exiting the house and coming back up the outside stairs. Just wish we had a second day to take advantage of Chad's amazing stash of river gear!!!

Artistic and quirky house. I loved it! You have to duck a lot, but it’s super cool. <5min walk to beach or downtown.

Linda is a great host. Cares about her guests. She had the room set to be cool upon arrival. The room is spacious and pleasantly comfortable. The Friday farmer's market is an easy walk, just down the street. Quiet neighborhood.

It was a really nice stay for me and my two dogs. Extremely nice family, and nice quiet & private place. It was unlike most Airbnb’s in that everything in the interior had a personal touch, it was fully stocked to cook, every possible need, both to cook inside & out. Most AirBnB’s have a bit of an “IKEA” feel, this felt like a true guest house, decorated, quality furniture, extremely clean. The drive in was beautiful, and the unit was great to stay in.

My husband and I (along with our 6 month old and our dog) enjoyed a perfect Fathers Day/Birthday weekend at Dennis's cottage! The location couldn't be better - so easy to grab provisions or a quick bite around the corner at the general store, and amazing to be able to walk to the beach in just a few minutes. The cottage is cozy - just the right size for two adults and a dog - with everything you need. Having a washing machine was extra convenient, and the balcony and fire place made for relaxing evenings. We love Dillon Beach and are so happy we found this place! Don't hesitate to book :)

Such a wonderful hidden gem! My husband and I went here on a quick honeymoon, so we only stayed one night, but it was incredibly comfortable and homey. Mark is a baker and provided us with the most delicious baked goods I've ever eaten and home roasted coffee during our stay. The creek is next to the property and relatively easy to find, beautiful! Since there is little to no service in the area, I had a bit of a hard time connecting with Mark on the day of check in, but his previous instructions were clear enough for us to find the cottage. We would certainly stay again and hopefully be able to attend the Friday Pizza Community nights they hold. Thanks for the great stay, Mark!

Gem of a beachhouse, on a quiet street, just a short walk from the beach. Clean, tastefully decorated cabin and loved the peaceful back garden and front patio to enjoy the sun as well.

We absolutely loved our stay at Valerie’s place! I truly can’t say enough good things about it. The place itself was perfect for us. The kitchen and bathrooms were so well appointed, everything was absolutely spotless, the beds were comfortable, and it was wonderful to have a private backyard. Valerie was so responsive and kind. She thought of absolutely everything, and we were so grateful for her flexibility with our checkout time. We will definitely be coming back!

This cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway with me and my partner. We were able to walk to the beach with our surfboards in less than 10 minutes. The outdoor porch was nestled amongst so much greenery and made for the perfect AM coffee spot. The outdoor shower was luxurious and the studio was cozy for watching movies in bed at night. Would def recommend to another couple looking for an easy getaway at the beach!

Bolinas is a special, unique, off-beat slice of heaven. Same with Charle’s cottage. If you love authentic coastal vibes, then do yourself a favor and stay here if you can. It’s the real, real. Well loved and well worn cottage that works like a charm. Hot tub, walk to beach or the Mesa, or town. Little deck to enjoy the ocean view. Wow! This property is absolutely stunning. Private and peaceful, it’s straight out of a magazine! Just 6 minutes from the most beautiful hiking trail, Goodlove Trail and just minutes to drive to some of the most beautiful wineries! We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!

Beautiful place, we enjoyed the modern decor and beautiful fresh bedding. It was a wonderful experience.

We had a lovely time at Emily’s garden oasis!! It was peaceful and private with stunning gardens covering the property. The beds were cozy and comfortable! Stocked kitchen ready for cooking and BBQing. We loved the walkability to the river! We will be back!

You won't find a more peaceful place for a getaway. If you sit in the rocker on the front porch and look out a the mini vineyard, the view will mesmerize you. If you want a more active stay, downtown Sonoma is only 10 minutes away. The kitchen is well outfitted, and there's a grill out back. The grounds are filled with flowers, there are olive trees lining the property (you'll find olive oil from the fruit of these trees in the kitchen cupboard!). Katherine is a wonderful host: warm and friendly; responsive; thoughtful . There are many nice touches around the house, which is comfortably furnished in all the rooms. Absolutely beautiful spot to stay in Sonoma! The cottage looked just like the pictures and was just what we needed while staying in Sonoma for a wedding. Would come back!

Certainly a private cottage and very peaceful. My favorite part was the backyard to have a beautiful picnic and BBQ. The hot tub was what made me book as I knew the weather was perfect for it. I as great night’s sleep in the two nights I stayed. The kitchen was too perfect to touch but I liked that there was huge ice packs. Very thoughtful.
