Family-friendly vacation rentals in Santa Luce

This was our second time at Il Vichiaccio and I hope it's not the last. In fact, this Airbnb is the entire reason we had Tuscany on our trip itinerary. Beatrice and Massimo are the most wonderful hosts in the world. Besides simply being great people to chat with, they are hospitable in providing some of their homemade wine and eggs. There's nothing more special than relaxing in the hot tub with the vineyard views and walking up the hill to dinner at Il Cavaliere in the castle. Our only complaint is that we did not see the kitty cat this time! She was our favorite host when we visited 3 years ago. Oh well, I guess we'll have to book again soon and try once more :)

Gina’s place is absolutely phenomenal. Stunning, out of this world location and a very comfortable villa. Gina was an amazing host who welcomed us personally and showed us around. We had a good basket and freshly cooked food as a welcome gift!! I cannot recommend Le Capanne highly enough. It was awesome.

Wir hatten wundere 12 Tage in Monsummano. Das Haus liegt optimal um die Toscana zu erkunden. Die Lage ist eifach top! Zu Fuss erreicht man gute Restaurants, Eisdielen und Cafés. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens weiter empfehlen und Kommunikation mit Daniele war spitzenmässig!! Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt! 👌😀👍

Beatrice was a wonderful host and accommodating of our needs traveling with a two year old. She was very responsive and gave amazing recommendations for places to eat and visit. The location is stunning - even more beautiful than the pictures! Every direction you look has rolling vineyards. We opted to have them cook a special birthday meal one of the nights, and it was delicious. The only small downside is there isn’t a common area to spend time in besides the kitchen (just the layout of the house). We loved it and hope to come back some day!

Unser Aufenthalt bei Giacomo war sehr schön. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 6 Personen und hatten gut Platz im und um das Haus. Die Küche hatte alles relevante dabei, die Betten sind bequem und der Garten mega gross und schön. Giacomo und seine Eltern sind sehr nette Leute, wir haben sogar einen Kuchen erhalten, welcher sehr sehr lecker war. Giacomo hat uns auch Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben und ging auf unsere Bedürfnisse ein. Wir danken Giacomo und seinen Eltern für den schönen Aufenthalt!

We made a tour of Toscana in the Easter with a group of friends and an infant and we wanted to stay for a night near Siena. The house is 25 minutes by car from the city, perfect for visiting it and also having a peaceful place to rest. Cristina's house exceeded our expectations. Four big bedrooms with private bathrooms. Perfectly clean and equipped with all amenities. She even had prepared the outdoor jacuzzi for us, which was exactly what we needed after a busy day in the city. Cristina was always available to respond to our messages and make the best recommendations. It felt like having a friend to count on. Certainly one of the best experiences I had with a host in Airbnb. We only felt sorry we didn't stay longer. Worth every euro.

Tout le monde était très gentil, les voisins étaient très sympa, Une belle place pour se reposer, une grand merci personnellement à Maria. Pour l’adresse,Le GPS nous indiquer qu’on était arrivé, par contre il fallait continue encore la route à peu près 300 m. Et le Borgo Isora sera à votre gauche. la route est sinueuse pour y arriver, il faut être prudent. très belle place pour y aller.

Viešnagė labai patiko: būstas erdvus ir jaukus (dar gražesnis, nei nuotraukose :)), buvo viskas, ko reikia: patalynė, rankšluosčiai, viskuo aprūpinta virtuvė. Šeimininkai draugiški ir, nors nedaug kalba angliškai, bet viską paaiškina :)... Miestelis irgi žavus - kupinas istorinio dvelksmo. Visai netoli (nuo būsto gal 5 min. pėsčiomis) yra nedidelė terminė versmė - gana karšta, tad tik vienas iš mūsų maudėsi, bet kojas pamirkėme visi ;)... Miestelio bare vaišinomės vynu - buvo labai malonu pabendrauti su vietiniais gyventojais. Žodžiu, šilčiausi atsiliepimai - ačiū už viską!

We had a fantastic experience at Stefania's place! It's a beautiful studio which was spotlessly clean and has everything you might need. Slightly out of the centre of Florence (in a lovely area, we recommend the walk from the flat to Piazzale Michelangelo for stunning views) but you can get the 11 bus into the city. The bus isn't always reliable on weekend and evening so we often walked back to the flat, the hill looks intimidating but it's a relatively easy walk. Stefania was very responsive and had good recommendations for us. There is also a super cute cat in the building that was friendly.

Leonard and his wife were very kind and welcoming, beginning to end. They were very responsive to our contacts with them and proactive in ensuring we were comfortable and had all we needed. They kindly invited us to join them and the wider family at a homemade pizza party in the garden one evening and later even brought us unexpected sweet treats. The property and it's garden estate were beautiful. We had gorgeous views from 3 sides of our apartment , mountains one way, across the valley another, and over the large garden on the 3rd side. All of the outlooks beautiful. It would be perfectly possible to use taxis and trains to get around the general area though having our own car there was very convenient for shopping and travelling as some attractions and facilities are several miles away. I feel our trip would have been less rich without a car. I'd describe the apartment as comfortable if rustic, but we had all we needed whether cooker, fridge, micro, washing machine etc.

We were six adults, two children (3-year-olds) and one infant staying at the house for a week. It’s located in a secluded spot with a large garden and beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape. We used all of the five bedrooms upstairs and they were dark and cool. The kitchen and living room downstairs also stayed cool. Right outside the kitchen there’s a really nice spot that’s in the shade for the most part of the day, where we had most of our meals. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a dip in the pool. However, you definitely need a car to get around. The gardener came around several times a day to maintain the pool etc. We appreciated this, but might be good to know if you’re looking for complete privacy. We also had some issues with the bathrooms; one toilet and a shower didn’t work properly but were fixed within a day and this didn’t affect our experience. The washing machine didn’t work despite repeated attempts by the host to fix it. The barbecue is in the trash room.

Séjour magique chez Paola. Difficile de décrire en quelques mots toute la gentillesse dont elle a fait preuve avec nous, on s'est tout de suite senti comme chez nous. Paola est venue nous chercher en voiture à la gare et nous a accueillis avec une bonne bouteille de vin et de la pizza - délicieuse -, difficile d'avoir une meilleure arrivée surtout après un long voyage. Elle a été très proactive tout au long de notre séjour et nous a même emmenés une demi-journée dans le Chianti pour que l'on puisse visiter un vignoble car nous n'avions pas de voiture - nous n'en revenons toujours pas de sa générosité ! Elle est aux petits soins avec tous ses invités et sa propriété est magnifique, nous avons bien profité de la piscine et l'appartement est merveilleusement bien décoré et équipé. Nous recommandons fortement de séjourner chez Paola, la meilleure hôte airbnb que nous ayons eue. Encore merci pour tout Paola, vous avez été merveilleuse, et nous rêvons déjà de revenir ! Arrivederci! :)

Claudia ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, immer sehr hilfsbereit und super nett. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Appartements haben alles was man braucht, das Pool ist super - sehr sauber und mit einem wunderbaren Blick. Die lage ist auch top - in etwa 15 Minuten ist man in der Volterra und bis zu San Gimignano braucht man nur eine halbe Stunde. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und bedanken uns für das leckere Öl und den schönen Urlaub!

Splendido luogo tra Cecina e Volterra per soggiornare in piena tranquillità e relax tra le colline toscane, panora e tramonto fantastico. Comodo per visitare borghi medioevali e non lontano dalla famosa costa degli etruschi e per chi ama le città si può raggiungere Pisa e Siena. Fausto è un host fantastico, preciso e disponibilissimo, ma non invadente, ci ha fornito indicazioni sui luoghi da visitare, le spiagge tipiche e anche i ristorantini molto carini nelle vicinanze. Il nostro soggiorno è stato piacevole e rilassante quello che desideravamo era stare lontano dalla confusione e dallo stress quotidiano, se questo è quello che cerchi qui lo trovi ...sentirai solo il "rumore" delle cicale.

Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche in Cristinas Haus in Fabbiano verbracht und dort unsere Auszeit vom Alltag sehr genossen. Das Haus ist wunderschön in den kleinen, ruhigen, sehr romantischen Ort eingebunden. Man geniest vom Garten aus einen wunderbaren Blick in das Tal und die Berge und kann vom Haus aus auch gleich eine schöne Wanderung aus unternehmen. Cristinas Empfang war sehr herzlich und gab uns das Gefühl, uns in ihrem Haus wirklich willkommen zu fühlen. Wir konnten sie jederzeit fragen, wenn wir Rat benötigten. Der Garten ist traumhaft. Leider war es für den Pool schon zu kalt. Dafür haben wir den Kamin sehr genossen. Trotz des durchwachsenen Wetters haben wir viel unternommen denn das Haus liegt zentral zwischen Meer, den Bergen und einiger sehr schöner Städte (z.B. Viareggio, Lucca, Pisa, Bargo). Da der Garten komplett eingezäunt ist, konnte sich auch unser Hund die ganze Zeit frei bewegen. Für kleine Familien, die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit lieben, ist das Haus ideal

We had a lovely time with Cristiana and Sergio. The apartment "La Margherita" was very clean and spacious. The children enjoyed the pool and there was plenty of room for everyone. We received helpful tips and Cristiana was always open to questions and responded very quickly. For chess lovers, there is a beautiful board in a great location. Highly recommended!

Five friends made to feel very welcome to this beautiful spacious villa with a lovely pool set amongst olive groves. The scenery that surrounded us was beautiful. Invited to Mark's villa who shared his knowledge and history of the olive groves which was very interesting and the hospitality received was first class (vino and yummy bruschetta's). This was the perfect place to stay and would highly recommend.

Séjour incroyable en famille avec 2 enfants de 11 et 13 ans en plein milieu de la campagne Toscane, mais tout de même centrale et accessible pour des sites d’intérêt. L’endroit est calme, tranquille et paisible même si bien occupé. Le logement était bien climatisé donc malgré les chaleurs intenses du mois d’août, nous y étions confortable pour prendre une pause et pour dormir. La piscine a été le coup de cœur des enfants. Les précieux conseils et l’amabilité de Nicola a été le nôtre. N’hésitez pas à y loger et y vivre une expérience de Dolce Vita à l’italienne. Merci pour tout Nicola!

The perfect place to stay in Tuscany, beautiful home and gardens. We loved the views and the amazing swimming pool. The house had loads of character and was very homely and comfortable. Loved the location, not too far from Lucca and only 30 mins from Pisa airport. Andrea was a very friendly and helpful host too. Wonderful stay - thank you!

We had a very relaxing few days staying with Lucy and her family, and their dog Amber. They were really friendly and welcoming, and always ready to answer any queries we had. The pool area was lovely, and extremely peaceful. The accommodation was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The village is small with a butchers and bakers, a couple of restaurants and a bar. We did a lovely circular walk from the property through the woods to the nearby hill top village, Castel Vecchio. There’s nothing in the village but it’s very pretty and the views are great. You need a car to get to the supermarket and Lucca is a very easy 20 minute drive away. We had a super time and thank you Lucy for your generous hospitality.

Alberto et son fils son super gentil et au petit soins . Nous avons adoré le logement ( il est encore mieux que sur les photos) . La piscine est grandiose. Nous avons passé une semaine avec notre fils de 15 mois et tout était très bien adapté a un bébé . Nous recommandons ce logement et nous reviendrons certainement

Great location - close if you are flying into/from the Florence airport - extremely close to to Villa Antinori - Dario Ceccini in Panzano - San Gimignano - Siena, etc. Pictures are representative of the apartment - grounds exceed the pictures. Grounds are very well maintained. The pool is exceptional. Great cats and dogs to welcome you throughout the day. Kitchen is very workable, knives are sharp, gas stove and kitchen utensils are stocked and ready for your carbonara or amatriciana. Plenty of staff is located on premises but are not at all intrusive. 11 out of 10. Will return.

The house was large and roomy and each room had a private bath with a good shower. The kitchen was well equipped. The hostess was extraordinarily generous with the little things she made available to us. We might have wanted to grill for a dinner but the outdoor grill was rather greasy and not appealing to use. The one drawback ( that was not her fault) was the horrible condition of the road leading to the house. All in all, a great stay.
