Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Santa Croce, Venice

A lovely little flat close enough to the tourist attractions to pop home for lunch, but far enough away to be quiet. Massimo was very helpful throughout our stay.

Chiara always responded quickly and I was sure that everything will work out before the trip. She welcomed us warmly and the location was nice and close to the vaporetto station. At night it was nice and quiet, also it was clean. There was a bialetti, good coffee, toaster, everything is fine.

Don’t hesitate to book. Extremely friendly hosts, great location, and a good value. Unlike many Airbnbs, this one feels like you’re staying with old family friends—between the service, the charming decor, and the location, it’s a can’t miss.

Our stay at Beatrice’s place was fantastic. The apartment was well-kept, cozy, and ideally located. Beatrice was incredibly kind and always ready to help with anything we needed. This stay makes 5 weeks we have spent in this Airbnb. I can honestly say there is nothing I would change about it. Everything you could need is provided and everything works like a charm. A wonderful place to stay for a Venice trip. We loved this peaceful neighborhood and the quirky, cozy attic apartment - an authentic Venetian experience. Angela the caretaker welcomed us warmly and Barbara sent very helpful instructions. We wish we were staying longer!

We had a fantastic stay at Luisa’s place. Veronica’s was super with communication and recommendations. We loved the location and the view of the canals. Everything is within walking distance. I would only recommend to get precise instructions when getting off the ferry stop as we did get a little lost with the small Venice streets. It was a wonderful stay!

Ca' Tintor in Venice was a truly delightful Airbnb stay, perfect for families. The apartment was impeccably clean and incredibly well-organised, boasting all the amenities one could possibly need with kids, from the hob and oven to a dishwasher, washing machine, and a perfectly working air conditioning unit. Its location is fantastic, nestled in a beautiful residential area with easy access to Piazzale Roma and the railway station, making it convenient for exploring with little ones. The host's dedication to preserving Venetian history, as evidenced by the ancient dyer basins found during redecoration, and their commitment to modern comfort and environmental responsibility through the heat pump system, truly stood out. I highly recommend this superb apartment for a wonderful stay in Venice with your family.

This was the best stocked AirBnB in my month in Italy. Real home away from home experience. It is as described in her photos with some lovely welcome touches. It is close to the train/bus station in a quiet area. Communication was effective and timely. Siria was very thorough with directions and entry. Would stay here again for sure! Traudy was wonderfully communicative for our stay, which was helpful as there are a few things to keep in mind with the tourist tax, garbage pick up, etc. The space was clean, large and open! The location was great, very walkable and tucked away. There are stairs to enter, so that’s something to keep in mind when packing!

It was a pleasure to stay with Viorica once more. The third floor flat has a wonderful terrace with a retractable awning that provides full cover. We had lunch and drinks on our own terrace every day. Viorica is a lovely person who takes pride in ensuring all is perfect and you have a great stay. My wife has brilliant chat with Viorica, practising her Italian language skills. We visit a lot of local restaurants, with fabulous food on offer. The location is very good and easy to use as a central point to allow walking to all the areas. We have visited Venice on many occasions and confirm that this is the best apartment ever, we look forward to returning in the future. One of the best AirBnB stays we've ever had! Giacomo is an excellent host - was very proactive and gave us great recommendations; also was very responsive for questions during our stay. The apartment is amazing! It was perfect for our family with two small kids (ages 4 and 1). It was very well appointed and had everything needed for our stay. We felt right at home. The location of Campo San Polo was perfect! It was close enough to all the main sights, and had lots of restaurants/shopping in close walking distance. We felt like locals (even though we probably weren't fooling anyone) The restaurant just right outside the apartment was great for lunch (really good Pizza/Pasta) and being in close proximity was a game changer for the kids. If you have kids (particularly small ones) - it's helpful to hire a luggage porter. We did this when leaving, and it made our lives a bit easier.

What a great stay for us. We were there for seven days and it was such a smooth stay. Marco meet us nearby after a few travel delays and was there with a smile and helping hands. He helped us haul our luggage to the apartment and walked us through everything we might need. He made sure we had his cell number for any emediate needs. The places was lass than a 10 minute walk from the airport vapperetto drop off and less than a five minute walk to the stop on the grand canal. It’s a perfect place to stay with local restaurants so close and a fresh market less than 100 meters from your front door. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Views from the living room windows of the main canal is what you want. If we ever return to Venice, I know where we will be staying.

Tucked away from the crowds yet just minutes from the heart of the city, it offered the perfect balance of calm and access. The space was spotless, thoughtfully laid out, and full of natural light — a rare find in the historic maze of Venice. Luca was gracious, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. There was something quietly magical about returning to this apartment after a day of exploring — as if we were living not just in Venice, but with it. Comfortable, clean apartment in a great location, close to the train station. Piero is a great host.

We stayed in Fabiola's apartment for one night and only negative was not having more time to spend at least another day exploring the city! Very nice location, a few steps away from the canal but close to plenty nearby cafes and restaurants. We took the Alilaguna straight from the airport to Guglie which was convenient even with 3 kids and luggage 😊 Fabiola had arranged an easy check-in proactively. Spacious place for two but as we spent very little time inside it was enough for 5 as well. Baby bed, super nice bathroom, clean kitchen and access direct from the street. All in all very neat but still authentic Venice feel 😊

We had an amazing stay at Giovanni and Susannas apartment. The communication straight from the start was excellent. The instructions were clear and we managed to easily find the apartment and enter easily, even though we got there really late at night. The area is amazing, close enough to all of the must-sees in Venice, but lovely and quiet and feels much more authentic and local. There are fantastic restaurants just around the corner too! Thanks again! We will definitely stay again when we are back in Venice.

I had a fantastic stay in Venice! The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect—just a 2-minute walk from the train station, which made getting around super convenient. It was also very easy to catch a vaporetto (water bus), and there were plenty of great restaurants nearby. The apartment was well-equipped with everything I needed to cook, including a dining table and all the necessary kitchen utensils. It really felt like a home away from home. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!

This was by far the best Airbnb we have ever booked. The place is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, but what stood out to me was how they thought about every single detail. For example, I love to cook, and in the places we stay, most of the time, it is not the best experience. Someone just went and bought utensils without much thought. Here, you have anything you would need to cook a nice meal. This level of care was not only evident in the kitchen but also throughout the entire apartment and in the entire guest experience, from check-in to checkout. Valentina is also incredibly responsive and kind. Thank you for a great experience!

This apartment exceeded our expectations and it is even more beautifully decorated than the photos suggest. The careful attention to detail was truly superlative, extending to things like a shoehorn and hand sanitizer by the doorway, a pitcher of cold water waiting in the fridge, etc. It is very convenient to the train station, just steps away from the Ponte degli Scalzi (so only one major flight of stairs to navigate with luggage once out of the station) but yet extremely private (and very quiet with windows shut). Francesca was friendly and helpful; she greeted us in person and was very accommodating with our schedule. We'll definitely try to stay here again next trip to Venice - thank you for the wonderful stay!
