Bungalow vacation rentals in Santa Barbara County

This place is amazing! If you are looking for an affordable house ON THE BEACH with LOTS of beds then this is your place! It’s not state of the art or completely upgraded, but it is so cozy. We were there with 5 small children and 6 adults and we were never in each others way. The beach itself is beautiful and the outdoor shower is a perfect addition to this beach get away. There are lots of amenities provided so don’t stress! Towels, shampoo, conditioner, trash bags, toilet paper, beach chairs, beach loungers, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, hand soap, outdoor shower, hose, grill with gas hook up, bedding, blender, coffee maker, 2 microwaves, 2 ovens…so much! Bring some WD 40 for the tar you might get on your feet and make sure you put the trash cans out ON SUNDAY NIGHT! The trash man comes EARLY Monday morning. The recycle only gets picked up every other Monday so don’t stress if it doesn’t get emptied…the schedule is on the fridge. Also, the knives are TERRIBLE! If you like to cook you might want to bring a few of your own. I hesitate to leave a good review because we plan to return and I don’t want it to be unavailable but it is awesome!!! Communicate early with TREE if you have questions. They will get back to you but not right away. We would just call the number and send a message on the app and they would eventually get back to us. Enjoy your stay! Check all of the drawers before you leave. There are tons of dressers and it’s easy to leave things behind.

So nice to have a place to stay and be together as a family! We spent as much time on the beautiful beach as possible, cooked up amazing meals, played games around the table, and had a movie night. Great experience and hope to come back!

My family and I had a wonderful stay in beautiful Carpinteria. The location of Kathy’s cottage is outstanding and everything was perfect. The new kitchen is beautiful and very functional. 10 out of 10 would book again.

I had the most amazing time staying at Jenny's beach cottage for a long weekend in April. I traveled solo to Ventura and fell in love with the Merry Mermaid and the community. The property is a very short walk to the beach, on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. I loved opening the windows and half door in the cottage to let in the ocean breeze while I worked and cooked. The kitchen was well stocked, and it was just a quick ~5-10 minute drive to Ventura's main street with shops, restaurants, and breweries. Jenny had lots of fantastic local recommendations, which I really appreciated as a first-time visitor to the area. I watched sunsets on the beach with supplies from Surf Liquor (right down the road, super friendly staff) and strolled through the neighborhood to the market, grocery store, and state park; I really enjoyed all of the beautiful yards and gardens along the way. I would absolutely stay at Jenny's place again and recommend it to all of my family and friends!

Great place with a fantastic location. We were traveling with our in laws so needed somewhere where we could be close to one another and a short walk from town, but since we have a baby and a four year old, also needed a separate living room. This place checked all of our boxes. I also have to shout out the king sized bed which was SO comfortable. It wasn’t the cheapest option, but it’s definitely a gem.

I stayed here for work and it was perfect! Everything was very clean comfortable and attractive. I arrived late and there were even thoughtful snacks and beverages. The neighborhood was quiet and I walked to work, a great play, a fantastic coffee roaster and downtown restaurants. I highly recommend this bungalow and can't wait to stay again.

The bungalow was absolutely perfect! Great location and a quick walk to the beach. Michael was very responsive when we emailed with questions and made sure our stay was everything we were hoping for. We would definitely stay again if back in the area:)

We came for a college graduation. The house was close to everything and very comfortable. The weather was not great and we were busy so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio. We hope to return again when we can spend more time!! The hosts were wonderful and easy to contact with questions.

Had all the amenities. Extra bed in the master closet with plenty of linens. 3 washer and dryers in the storage unit!!! Very well stocked with a quiet neighborhood and plenty of space! And PET FRIENDLY for your fur babies!!!

My daughter lives in Santa Barbara and we have stayed at many great Air Bnb’s. I would DEFINITELY stay here again. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was so nice to just walk out to State Street and walk to all of the great restaurants and shops, but note that it is about a mile and a half walk to the downtown/Funk Zone area. One thing I appreciated was the security fence and the designated parking spot. The hosts were SUPER responsive. If I had any suggestions, I would have liked to have a small closet to hang my things. There is a little hanging rack behind the front door, but a closet of some sort would be better. All in all a terrific place to stay.

If you are in Ventura, do yourself a favor and check out Buenaventura Bungalow. It is so lovely and perfect for 2 women or a couple with kids. The home is inviting and beautifully decorated plus the neighborhood was quiet. Had great amenities and a nice patio for drinking coffee in the am or wine in the pm. We loved everything about this place plus the TV was simple to use for 2 technologically-disadvantaged older ladies! We are so glad we found this great home. Our hosts were always prompt to respond and that was nice. We will definitely stay here again!
