It was a very pleasant stay, comfortable and very nice, safe, clean and they were always attentive to any questions, I definitely highly recommend it, I felt right at home, my pet enjoyed the garden very much, very beautiful and safe

We were really impressed with the apartment, especially the views. We loved the location and spent Christmas as a family enjoying superb Oaxacan vistas and walking into and the city every day. It’s a steep uphill walk back, but well worth it. Our family loves to self-cater and cook when we’re in Airbnbs, and while the apartment didn’t have everything we needed, Emily was very responsive and helpful in trying to source kitchen items. The apartment is spacious and the view is truly stunning.

The accommodation is very good, I think it can be improved a little, the mattresses and sofa beds are a little old and could be reupholstered without having to buy new ones, in general everything is very good...

Our time in Oaxaca would not have been the same if we had not stayed at Alicia's place. I can not say enough great things about our stay! The home is absolutely gorgeous and the local decor is stunning. We were greatly welcomed and taken care of during our time at Alicia's. Alicia passed us phenomenal recommendations, and Eli cooked some delicious meals for us and our toddler. We loved being greeted by Gil and the dogs on the property (Buddy and Blanca). Our toddler loved when we had afternoon pool time together after mornings spent adventuring in the area. It felt like home. The location is lovely- a quick drive from Centro but also not far from Teotilan de Valle and other wonderful places you will want to visit. The town of Tlalixtac is sweet and we would love to have spent more time around town and in Tule. We miss the pretty views, the ambiance and the hospitality. This place is a true gem and we are so thankful for the time we had there in Oaxaca.

If you want to be transported 300 years ago and live the high life of old days - THIS is the place to book. It's old. It's elegant. It's exquisite. And very private - you get the beautiful house all to yourself! A truly colonial way of living with modern day amenities added for comfort. And as if this were not enough - you find a well stocked refrigerator (eggs, beer, wine, juice, milk), phenomenal Oaxacan coffee, small snacks, cereal, fully equipped kitchen and wood-fired grill... You cannot ask for more... We highly recommend Becky's place. We would like to return.

House is spacious and clean, has really nice furniture. I liked being there for seven weeks and was very comfortable. Cleaning staff came every Tuesday and did a great job. One bedroom was very suitable as an office as well. Area seemed safe and clean; I didn’t hesitate to walk around at night. The house was gated, which added to my comfort. Taxis were abundant and very low priced if one preferred that. I thought it was an enjoyable walk to the centro. There was a huge, Cost-co like store 5 blocks away, if you wanted food or a motorcycle. House made unusual noises during the night, but not scary. Jesus, the property manager, helped me quickly with anything I needed, including issues with my own computer! He was great! I highly recommend the house and would enjoy staying there again.

Erica was incredibly attentive and responsive before, during, and after our stay, which truly made us feel at home. The location was ideal for exploring the charming streets of Oaxaca; we were pleasantly surprised by how conveniently close it was to our favorite restaurants and markets, all while providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. This has certainly been one of the best locations my wife and I have experienced over the years, and Erica was a wonderful host, even arranging a taxi for us to the airport on our final day. We sincerely appreciate your hospitality and making us feel so welcome. We look forward to returning to Oaxaca soon and hope to have the pleasure of staying with you again!

La Calera was our oasis in a city for one month, January 2025. The compound that Luis Jesus has created from his families old lime factory is a beautiful, serene and architecturally fantastic space, like living in a sculpture park setting. About 1.2 mile outside city center, it was a great walk for us, learn the upper road back way to avoid high traffic roads. The staff, specifically Ignacio, were so friendly and available and anything we asked they were responding positively. The beds and linens are very good, bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to dogs and city noise. We were so happy we found and stayed at La Calera for our time in the amazing city of Oaxaca and we recommend you don’t miss the opportunity to stay or plan an event in this lovely, safe, creative space. Thank you Luis Jesus for our time, it was very special.

The apartment was perfect for our family. It was exactly as described, we made use of the peaceful grassed area and pool. It was a very secure property that is walking distance to everything. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
