Guesthouse vacation rentals in San José

We find a beautiful place where we share a weekend accompanied by dogs and nature, a cozy place to go as a group or as a couple, very spacious in the kitchen equipped to prepare what we like... Even though we are small to explore, the company of the dogs and the beautiful vegetation make the stay in a climate very pleasant although it is cold, the house retains the heat very well... We loved the place

Fredy and his wife were excellent hosts. Vey beautiful place with outstanding landscaping. The cabin itself was very nice. They have two big dogs and three cats, but animals are very common in Costa Rica. Good location for day trips, and places to stop/eat. Quiet, peaceful, enjoyable area! When we reported a sink faucet developed a problem ,Fredy replaced it while we were out. Would stay here, again!

This apartment is good, just as described in the listing. It's equipped with everything necessary and all appliances and WiFi work well. Good stay!

The place met our needs, a place to rest, it also has several extras that we did not use, but for someone who has more time they are very functional for entertainment.

This place was much better than expected. The rooms were incredibly clean. There was a great pool and jacuzzi on the property as well. This place is also well gated which made us feel very safe. Wild definitely recommend staying here for a place to stay if you’re going through the airport!

We enjoyed staying at Cat’s and Yolanda’s home. Even though there is shared common areas, we felt very comfortable and private. Afternoon swims in the pool and lounging in the hot tub was relaxing. Quiet mornings in the upper deck were peaceful and you could hang out and enjoy the gorgeous valley view. We are fairly active so walks into town were very doable. Atenas has a good mix of tourists and locals and is a friendly town.

Enjoyed my weekend stay at Luz’s. I loved all of the natural sunlight that the guesthouse receives. Very quiet neighbor and convenient location to the National University!

We love the place and had an amazing time here. We hope to return soon.

Excellent place, private and small but has everything you need and beautiful views. Everything is very tidy and with quite clear instructions to enter the place and so on.

The gardens and space surrounding the 2nd story accommodation are a joy to stay in! Good comfy bed for 2... Sufficient furniture, full kitchen cooking. Quiet rest and near the city's edge...or within range of Pacific beach day. Great cycling nearby... Local neighborhoods bustling with pura vida. Clara is an amazing hostess. On site Grounds support staff very considerate! Bambus Vision sustainability project is a grand vision!!! And a safe place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the mountain house. The indoor garden is beautiful with the open sky above it. Marvi was fabulous and so helpful! Vicky and Jorge made tómales for us one night and went above nasty beyond the call of duty!!! Thank you for a fantastic time. It was like part camping with great amenities!!!

I stayed a few nights at Fer and Godfrey’s place to wrap up my month in Costa Rica. I had some trouble finding the house from the address listed but Godfrey was very helpful, sending me a pin and even trying to reach a cab driver he knows to find me. Very kind. The Airbnb was beautiful, the perfect size for me, and in a quiet area. It’s is very walkable and I loved getting out for morning walks. It’s convenient that the grocery store and several restaurants are just a 10-minute walk away. I wish I would’ve stayed longer! Truly a great place!

Safe place, same as description, easy access . Recommended

Even though we stayed only 1 night, we really enjoyed Dani and his wife's property, hospitality, and the stories they shared with us at the outdoor patio under the moonlight. Kids enjoyed watching the soccer game, then spent few hours playing in the field right at the property. The property is well maintained, clean, safe, and in a good neighborhood. He and his wife took few of us to the wholesale farmer market at night to hunt for the tropical fruits, especially the soursop (guanabana) per our request. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. One side of the property has 4 rooms with AC (6 single bunk beds in each) and 4 bathrooms. The other side has a kitchen and dining room; and few more rooms with fans only (and bunk beds) & bathrooms. Weather is cool down at night in March. Overall, everyone enjoyed our stay and wanted to stay longer. It will be our first choice to stay if we are back to San Jose. Thank you so much Dani and the Wife!

The room is comfortable, very quiet place, delicious breakfast, a very cozy experience. I recommend it to everyone who wants to spend a peaceful stay in an angelic atmosphere.

The apartment is very nice. Excellent for when there are events in the Viva Park because of how close it is. I recommend it! Hazel is an excellent host.

Alexandra is a super host and a very kind person. Her apartment is cozy, clean and we'll equipment with ever you need. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for some privacy. Alexandra's son Nicolas is super helpful and kind just like her as well. They made us feel righ at home along with her friendly dogs and one cat too. if you choose this place as your stay, you won't regret it.
