Niall is a very welcoming and friendly host. His property is located in a peaceful and picturesque location and affords lovely views across the valley. The property was clean and tidy and Niall thoughtfully left eggs and milk for us on arrival. Village train station very close by, and Whitby is within walking distance (for keen ramblers). All good!

We had a lovely stay at Stephen&Bev's caravan. View from the room window is absolutely stunning and instantly puts a smile on a face. There is lots to do nearby. We've found plenty of sea glass at the beach. Hosts are lovely and very helpful! Caravan is modern, pristine clean, lots of plates, cups, pots. Everything is in great condition. We will definitely come back again!

Had a lovely week and accommodation was great. Lovely views across the bay and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Also new kittiwake tower has been built - very impressive and birds already nesting there.

Peaceful quiet location. Near train station. Clean . Generally well equipped, although a few bits of cutlery and crockery missing but nothing major. Comfortable beds, pillows not to my personal preference as very hard, but overall an excellent stay and I would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend.

A lovely home, beautifully decorated, clean and warm, nice simple outdoor space, great kitchen amenities a very welcoming space, easy to feel at home in.

My colleague and I stayed at Ross' place for a 6 week contract. The place is nicely situated in walking distance from the town centre, with grocery shopping within driving distance and a Londis, Chinese and fish and chips around the corner. It has good WiFi, a washing machine and good cooking facilities. There were a couple of maintenance issues underway, but Ross was highly responsive and quick to take action. Ross is a great host and was very involved with making our stay as easy as possible. I'd recommend the place to anyone wanting a comfortable base to experience Wensleydale from or anyone that have to stay in the area for work purposes.

Had a fantastic stay here. A family of 4 (2 teen boys), my brother in law and 2 dogs. Great location - an easy walk into town and very quiet too. The host was super helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The beds in particular were extremely comfortable - lovely fresh, clean and crisp white linen. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Whitby.

Just a short walk from the beach, the flat offers stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and a real sense of escape. The space is tastefully decorated with a calming coastal charm—light, airy, and filled with thoughtful touches like a welcome hamper, It was spotless, comfortable, and felt like a true home away from home. The fish cottage fish tacos were the best we have ever had. If your wanting a breakfast definitely go to wits end cafe. Sandsend itself is a quiet, scenic village—ideal for long beach walks, exploring rock pools, or simply unwinding. It’s also just a short drive from Whitby, making it a great base for exploring the North Yorkshire coast. If you’re looking for a peaceful coastal retreat with style, comfort, and charm, this place is perfect. We’re already planning our return.

We had a wonderful stay at Val's place. it is cosy, and clean and had everything we needed. The location is fab, with lovely bars and cafes just a short walk away, and a beautiful view of the sea in the other direction. Just perfect. We would recommend this place, and we'd certainly love to stay again ❤️
