Oguri went over the top to be helpful, he was a genuinely great host, he helped us navigate, brought over his own personal bike when one bike was being used. very easy biking town, like most Japanese towns. There were plenty of restaurants near by, and having the onsen right down the road was my favorite in all of my time in japan! The amenities with the apt were great, comfy bed, TV, water filter for water which was a perk. The bath was sweet and also to have access to laundry in your room was so very helpful!

The property is highly recommended. Oguri is a very friendly and professional host who runs his place impeccably clean and tidy. We really enjoyed it there. Only we underestimated the distance to the center of Kyoto a little, as it takes less than 45 minutes by train to get there. Everything else you need can be found in the immediate vicinity. Thank you for the hospitality and we will be happy to come back.✌️

Perfect spot for Kyoto exploration! Yukari was very friendly, and it was amazing to be able to rent bikes.

Oguri's place is a short walk from Kintetsu's Kutsukawa station, which made it a wonderful place to stay for my time in the Uji/Kyoto area. There was some road noise from the active street, but earplugs were more than enough to cover me during the night (even when I am a very light sleeper) Oguri was kind and very proactive with getting me checked in, even when I was very late with my check-in and late messages.

I loved staying here, Oguri was very proactive in making sure I knew the directions to the unit. He also has a great lists of recommendations in the nearby area, personally I tried his favorite ramen shop and I loved it!! Do not hesitate to book with Oguri!

Loved the room! nice and spacious compared to other places we stayed in Tokyo and Osaka. location is a bit out of the way from tourist spots but you can access everything you need to from nijo station or via bus.

This is one of the best places we’ve found through Airbnb. Everything is as described. The size of the apartment is perfect for two adults and one child - European standards. The kitchen is just what we need for a light breakfast/lunch. The level of cleanliness was one of the best we have ever seen. The location is perfect, close to the metro, train station and several bus stops. The communication through the application was perfect, only at the reception there was a nice Japanese girl who was struggling a bit with her English but she was very kind and helpful. Overall great Japanese experience and would definitely recommend this place. We had a wonderful week in Kyoto and I am sure this hotel was a big part of that experience.

The place was very spacious and the bathroom was top tier. Even though it was very spacious, I’d say 4 people is the sweet spot. It was 3 of us staying and we had enough space for our luggage. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay in Kyoto. Bus stations are close and the location is a little far from the main areas but it was nice and peaceful. Bus stations ran all night so no problem having late night outs

Very nice and accommodating host who was always easily reachable. The room was equipped with everything we needed, had a private bathroom and toilet and was clean. We felt very comfortable and in good hands. We will be happy to come back.

Second time staying at Toki and it’s just perfect for me. Quiet location within walking distance of sights and restaurants and access to public transport for getting further afield. More than enough space for a couple of friends sharing. Will always be my first choice accommodation for Kyoto!

Good for 2 guests. We weren’t in the hotel itself long as we’re were exploring. Not lord of floor space because the beds take up a lot of room but they provide shelving for storage. Would come again, quiet part of Kyoto but very close to the station.

The place was perfectly sized for me travelling on my own, the bed was comfortable and there was a place to store clothes, and a functional kitchen. It was a bit out of the way, an 8-ish minute walk from the metro, but I tend to like that when I’m travelling. The host was very helpful and replied quickly when I messaged with questions!

Nice place and view from our room. Though there’s a park in front of the apartment which causes noise at night when tourist are there.

Good access from Kyoto Shijo.The room has four bunk beds, but the upper bunks are a little difficult to climb.It's a mixed room, but the shower is in the room.

It was time for GW, so I was prepared to be higher, but I was surprised that it was cheaper than I expected.I used a shared dormitory because there was no availability, but each bed is separated by a thick curtain, and privacy is also protected.Also, thanks to the curtains, other people didn't turn on the lights in the room, so it was bright and I didn't wake up when I slept.Also, because it is a shared dormitory, I often feel that the shower room is more dirty than a female-only dormitory, but this place is kept very clean and I didn't feel uncomfortable.The receptionist was also perfect in Japanese, which surprised me.I was about to be late for the check-in time, but I was relieved that you used the messaging function to tell me how to self check-in. I only stayed for one night for work, and I didn't have time to use the kitchen because I didn't have time to communicate with others, but I felt that it was a safe place to stay for a consecutive night.Thank you very much.
