We had a comfortable stay here. It was a little cold but the bathtub was nice. It has a great yard and a complete kitchen. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and the host was polite.

Beautifully clean, contemporary accommodation, peaceful location- the perfect spot to relax. The yard was the perfect place to have a barbecue! Kayo was an amazing host, providing us with good local recommendations and always checking in on us to make sure we were ok. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay here! The place was virtually on the main street of Echoland without being on it which meant cafes, restaurants and shuttle buses (during winter season) pretty much at your door step. Beautiful mountain views from the place. The kitchen was the best we have used during our whole Japan trip. Utensils, plates, cups etc well stocked. They had filter coffee making capabilities (and a machine!) Showers all had in built seats (great for those not steady on your feet). We loved the jets built into the bathtub. My only trouble with the place was I had an almost 2 year old toddler and the stairs up to the place didn't have any railings on one side so she could easily fall to the ground (1.5m) and there was no door to stop her accessing the stairs, so we needed to constantly keep an eye on her. The furniture, etc felt high quality and designer (solid wood, not your average IKEA fitout). Beds comfortable. Heating g Would recommend!!

This place is great. Not many foreigners go to Kusatsu Onsen in the first place so the staff being friendly is great. The location is remote (about a 20 minute walk from town) and the walk gets old after about a day considering how many hills there are. I knew this when I booked the place, though. Kusatsu is worth it no matter the walk regardless. The only negative thing that I have to say about this place is that it's cold and I think the kerosene heater broke on night 2. Either that or we're just morons. Either way, fixing the room heaters should be a priority. This minor inonvenience was forgiven when the staff took us to the bus station in a snowstorm, saving us a long and brutal walk. Very kind of them.

Very kind host, friendly, good natured, quickly response. We have small children. When we finished booking, host asked how old he is. To prepare the house safely. Very lovely. The house quit old traditional. But still perfect and clean. We will definitely come back again. Thank you very much for taking such good care.

There is no word to say how much we loved our stay. We felt at home and we really enjoyed meeting Jun and Kayo. They are wonderful persons and their house is at their image. We spent 4 nights but could have stayed 2 weeks there. The region is very authentic and Jun gave us a lot of suggestions of things to do. We will definitely come back if we return to Japan.

It was a very nice cottage. The clean and spacious hot spring was great.

Easy check in, amenities as described. The views were stunning and beautiful. The host was very friendly and helpful, and spoke English to help check in. I would recommend this place to get away from the crowds and enjoy the nature and views.

It is not accessible without a car, but it was a very peaceful and good place.I don't recommend this place if students are going to be drinking and partying.I think it's for families.

It was well equipped and wonderful.

Cherrywoods Place is a perfect housing. Beautiful and clean, close to ecoland center, walking distance to many cafe and restaurants. It was heavy snowing during our stay. We even skied on the street from the house to the shuttle bus stops. The White Fox team was responsive and helpful. Their Vive house restaurant prepared the delicious food also. We shall certainly come back to any places they manage.

Fantastic house! Peaceful, clean, spacious. Would strongly recommend!

It was a great place to stay but really far from everything. We were also unable to reach a cab with taxi go or Uber. The only way we could get a ride was by calling a taxi service. It was also hard to explain the address to the taxi driver since we don’t speak Japanese. There was one time we did show the address of the Airbnb to the taxi driver and he took us far from it, we had to make a U-turn and guide him to the Airbnb. Other than that, it was a good, peaceful place.

This place was so cute & homie! Perfect location for our 1 night stay in Kusatsu. The cottage came with everything you need from shampoo to condiments. The host was responsive and very accommodating! 10/10
