The grounds the cottage are located in are surrounded by a large moat which contains unprotected deep water. Unsuitable for young unsupervised children.

The cottage is 5 km from the golf course, 1 hour from La Rochelle, Futuroscope, Puy du Fou, Planet of the Apes, 40 minutes from Marais Poitevin and hiking trails.
