Beautiful renovation which combines modern comfort with the spelendor of this 17th century stone tower house in the Medieval village of Alet les Bains. Beautiful garden. White water rafting and other river sports are within walking distance as well as a natural spring swimming pool which is open in the summer. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance too and the famous wine producing town of Limoux is a 10 minute drive away. There is a tourist office in the town.

Salamander Chalet

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter, there is a wood-burning stove. We provide a wheelbarrow with firewood for €15.

(Heated pool, closed end of September to April included) Our air-conditioned accommodation is located in the charming village of Saint-Hilaire a few steps from its abbey. Formerly old wine vats, our atypical gîte has been completely renovated. Saint-Hilaire is located between Carcassonne (16 km) with its unmissable medieval city and Limoux (13 km). We have all the amenities: bakery, tobacco/grocery store, restaurant/wine cellar, etc., as well as a wealth of cultural offerings!

The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.
