Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

A peaceful oasis, wonderful for relaxing, sun all day, good amenities: terrace with seating, barbecue and loungers. Here we were able to switch off perfectly. Thank you Bastien.

The house is just amazing! It's big and comfortable, has any kitchenware you could ever need to prepare any dinner imaginable and even more! The garden is simply beautiful, our cat was beyond happy to explore every corner of it. We didn't use the swimming pool because it was already too cold to swim, but it adds to the beauty of the garden and we just enjoyed sitting by it in the sun. Thank you Jean-Philippe and Brigitte, for this amazing place. We will be happy to return some day!

The property is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and respectful and helpful with suggestions. Our only critique would be that the pool whilst lovely is not private and shared with the hosts who admittedly did not use it whilst we were there and if you like me love to cook the oven was portable and a slight challenge to use. The village and walks were incredible and the location near to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon makes for a lovely stay. A big thank you to Pascal and Catherine x

Very nice stay between friends at Jean-Pierre's, we LOVED the place! A green setting lost in the middle of nowhere (at the end of a small narrow road that climbs well for 15 min, ensuring a beautiful change of scenery). Sublime terrace and shaded garden. The farmhouse is almost the only dwelling in the hamlet! As indicated in the listing, plan ahead of time because there are no nearby businesses. Jean-Pierre is very kind, available and accommodating. It was a real pleasure, thank you again!

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

Great stay in the Cevennes. The cottage is very well-appointed, quiet, surrounded by nature. The jacuzzi is a big +, private and accessible at any time. Priscillia is a very friendly host.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, in the beautiful main village square, right in the centre of Uzès. It was peaceful, comfortable and the apartment was bright and cozy. It had a little outdoor balcony which was a nice bonus. We were thrilled to have had the opportunity of staying in this delightful place and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We spent a night in this little piece of heaven! As soon as you arrive, you feel this beautiful peaceful energy. The owners are very friendly, I highly recommend this place which allowed us a nice quiet break 🙏🏼

We had an unexpected break at Cinthia's. Every detail is designed for our well-being. We had a great time sharing and laughing. We discovered lots of relaxation devices that we can easily buy. We weren't able to try everything in 3 days, it's too short. We'll be back, we have to.

We had a great time at Pierrick's! He was super nice, welcoming and really caring throughout the stay. The accommodation was as advertised and we felt comfortable right away. I recommend it without hesitating!

The accommodation offered by Marie enjoys a prime location, in the heart of the historic center, in a quiet area. The apartment has a lot of charm, the decor is very neat, very well equipped, and very clean. Free parking "le refuge" a few minutes walk away. We had a great time and would recommend this beautiful place.

Everything was perfect. The house is superb, perfectly equipped and very well maintained. Ingrid is very responsive to messages, excellent communication. A great stay!

Two perfect nights. Super comfortable bedding and very cozy, cozy, beautiful and original cottage. We were able to enjoy the good products left for us in the fridge, the morning pastries and the fruit basket. Our daughter was delighted with her night upstairs and our dog with his small enclosed outdoor area. In two nights, we didn't have much time to fully enjoy the sauna and jacuzzi. From the welcome to the departure everything was perfect for this quality stay in a peaceful setting. A real weekend as we like them!

My family and I had a wonderful stay in St Maximin. The property is even better than the photos portray and is perfect for families of all sizes. We had an extended stay for the month of May and it was very comfortable for the whole month, both in the colder earlier days and the more summer like end of the month. There is also lots to do in the local area, Uzes is a great town with lots of restaurants and a Saturday market which we enjoyed visiting. St Maximin also has two fantastic restaurants and lots of great walks in the surrounding countryside. There are towns to visit like Arles, Nimes or Avignon which are slightly further but well worth a visit. We would very much like to return to the house in the future and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting St Maximin and Uzes.

What an amazing place! It was everything we hoped for and more! Nestled in the heart of nature, the setting was absolutely serene—surrounded by trees, birdsong, and beautiful views in every direction. Everything was perfect! The house, the view, the nature, the region, the host… all of us were very extremely happy to stay at Olivier’s place.

We had a great time with the family. The house is spacious and very well-equipped. The exteriors are more than pleasant with an outdoor dining area and a BBQ. Many deckchairs around the large pool. It's a haven of peace. Finally, the house is a few minutes' walk to the center of the village, it's a real plus.

We loved the house, clean, bright and beautifully decorated. The village is charming and all the people we met were very friendly. We highly recommend it. In addition, the area is beautiful! We'll be happy to go back.
