Great for short walks. A few minute walk from great deli and pub-type eatery!
  • Lovely spot close to Pt. Reyes and Tomales Bay!

  • This house was perfect. It is well equipped and we especially appreciated all the utensils in the kitchen and the BBQ. we really like being able to shop locally and then coming home to cook. The house is perfectly located to enjoy the peninsula. A great spot.

  • Jack's place is fantastic for a quiet getaway in Point Reyes. It's within walking distance to the market and about 25 to 30 minute drive to the beach. The house was extremely clean, and delightfully decorated. The owner's are clearly world travelers and the house reflects that; it's filled with art from around the world and many good reads if you happen to find yourself with time for a book. I recommend his place to anyone wanting to visit the area and hopefully I'll have the chance to visit again myself.

  • We loved this space so much. It has amazing and eclectic artwork, beautiful woodwork everywhere, beautiful stone walls downstairs. Easy drive from the main area of Point Reyes Station. This will definitely be on our favorites list!

    Maria2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jack's place is simply wonderful. The house is beautiful and filled with all kinds of interesting art. There are three separate decks and the upper floor feels like you are in a treehouse. The house is in the country, but close to Pt. Reyes Station - just perfect. Any questions we had were responded to quickly. I cannot recommend Jack's place more highly.

    Kelly2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jack's cabin is ideally located for exploring Point Reyes and nearby attractions while still being a quiet and peaceful place to unwind after a busy day. The cabin itself is clean and very comfortable - we particularly enjoyed the sun room in the mornings. I would recommend this airbnb and would stay here again.

A uniquely designed, rustic cabin with sweeping views of the National Park and Black Mnt, located along the Inverness Ridge Trail - hiking and biking excursions right out the door. The cabin is next to a wood-shop which is not part of the living space and is unfinished, the outdoor space is also rustic and in some places unfinished. The road is steep and gravel paved, the cabin is atop the ridge at road’s end. Not for those seeking hotel-like experience - but immersed in nature and inspiring.
The cabin consists of an open main hall including a kitchen, dining room and living space, and bedroom a deck and a terraced yard. The yard has a great view and comfortable seating, the planting are natives that are not irrigated during the dry season.
The cabin is at the end of Sunnyside Road on the Inverness ridge trail. It is the last house before the National Seashore so it looks out onto an uninterrupted views of the Point Reyes National Seashore, Mt Wittenberg and Black Mountain.
  • Truly remarkable space. Thoughtful hosts and excellent communication. We’d definitely come back.

    Andrew2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is just as it is described - a very rustic, charming getaway with spectacular views and a welcoming, warm vibe. It is a perfect get away from everyday life. It definitely helped to have a 4WD vehicle and we were glad to have stocked up on groceries and kindling beforehand. Once you are in the cabin, you won't want to leave except to take a hike - and there is a trailhead right at the end of the driveway!! If you do venture out, the local towns of Inverness and Point Reyes are well-worth exploring and the drive to the seashore is easy. We went to Drakes Beach and the sea elephants were in mating season, so they were all along the beach (this was end of February). Overall, Bo's place was a fabulous experience.

    Margot2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place if you really want to get away from everything for some quiet time like writing, meditating or just relaxing and being quiet. Sitting in front of the wood stove at night in the darkness was really special, like camping, only with a soft, comfortable queen bed.

    Jeffrey2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place to unplug and unwind. Bring a pile of books, a puzzle and some good people and you've got the perfect place for a retreat. The place is one of a kind.

    Rory2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous views in an amazing, one of a kind house. I love this place.

    Mary2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This space, the views, the night sky, and the proximity to nature and trails cannot be beat. We enjoyed runs on near by trails and long, glorious hikes. We went out to eat for our evening meals but it was easy to have breakfast and lunch in the apartment. If anything, we wish we had planned to spend more time in the house! The sunrise from bed was stunning. Soaking up the sun (and then the stars) from the deck was incredible. The views cannot be beat. The sun shines into the space and warms it up, along with a great fireplace. We were very comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is a) arriving during day light hours and b) making sure to get really clear directions as to how to drive all the way down, past the address proper, so that you can drive right up to the door. If you are concerned about driving narrow gravel roads, especially at night (if you plan to eat out), or if you are worried about balance (there are a few sets of steps within the apartment), this place is probably not for you.

    Rachel2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • An incredibly unique place for architecture buffs and/or nature lovers to completely unplug; spectacular views over the forests and fields out to distant mountains. Just watching the weather roll in seems a day well spent--and one can do that from bed! Or you can peruse the various books on art and architecture while snuggling under a quilt in front of the fire. Moonrises and stars were spectacular, with complementary owl hoots and coyote howls in the night. Inverness Ridge Trail is just down the street, leading to any number of additional hiking trails throughout the park.

    Kristine2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Spectator spot — wake up to the sunrise, view the stars at night — a perfect place to retreat and enjoy

  • Great cabin for a weekend getaway!

    Mark2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • We’re big lovers of Marin but had never spent deliberate time in Inverness and loved our two days tremendously, by and large for the home we found in this well equipped and cozy cabin. David and Sandhya were wonderful, attentive hosts and provided all the guidance and special touches to make our stay seamless and meaningful. Great location, clean, comfortable, and grounding space. We especially took advantage of the the wood stove and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and working our way through the record collection. We’d happily return!

    Tess2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our weekend getaway in Point Reyes staying at David’s cottage. Make use of the space heaters as it gets pretty chilly in the winter, but once we got the fire started in the wood stove it helped immensely. The location is fantastic and the record player was a nice touch. I personally loved his small collection of classic country albums!

    Anthony2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our weekend stay in Inverness was everything we hoped for. The cottage was clean, comfy, and the perfect retreat after a long day of hiking and adventure. The wood stove was a great feature, especially paired with gentle rain fall on the roof.

The Lovers' Landing -- Welcome This is the lower unit of a two unit house. For larger groups we recommend renting both units. This unit has a full kitchen, dinning nook, large living room, one large bedroom with a queen bed, and one full bathroom. There is a gas fireplace located in the living room of this unit. There is one parking spot included with this unit and additional parking available on the side of the house. There is a gas and a charcoal grill available for your use. This unit also has beautiful and large back deck with sweeping views of the bay. This house reflects the lives of my grandparents. My grandfather was a master mariner by profession. He sailed in the American Merchant Marine from the 1920s to the 1940s, circumnavigating the globe more than 25 times. His wartime service was as captain of the Liberty ship, SS John Fiske, whose identifying plaque from the ship’s bridge is on the eastern exterior wall next to the steering wheel. When they retired in the 1970s, my grandparents chose this location so that he and my grandmother could have a quiet life in the woods, but at the same time could see the horizon and part of the sea. The tree-top setting is just a half-mile from the town of Inverness with its store, post office, café, and restaurants; and a ten-minute drive from the restaurants, shops and weekend Farmers’ Market of Point Reyes Station. Beaches, hiking trails and the Point Reyes National Seashore are within walking distance or a short car ride, and the south-facing deck is sunny and warm all day. But don't take our word for it--read what the New York Times had to say about Salt Water, the local restaurant, and the delights of the wider area. '36 hours in Marin County', 27 Jan. 2013. We hope that you enjoy our house, enter into its spirit enjoying the views of Tomales Bay, the hills, woods and beaches of western Marin and Elephant Mountain bathed in the ever- changing light of the Point Reyes Peninsula, a very special ‘Island in Time’. The Chiles/Brock Family
  • Great host and great location! Was very easy to get to and we loved the views! Thanks

  • The view from this spot is un real. Such a quiet and beautiful place to relax. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

  • My husband and I had an amazing time at Justinian's Airbnb. The view was phenomenal, the location was peaceful and the unit was very clean. We would love to come back and highly recommend the place to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life!

    Ashley2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with our 2 month old daughter and we had a great time! Lots of space, clean, we enjoyed the gas fireplace. For those of you who are critical about how a mattress might be in an Airbnb: this one was perfect!! Not too soft! Enough space for the bassinet and playmat! Great location to all Point Reyes trails and sights!

    Ulrike2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Justinian's. It was clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view.

    Lauren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If morning sun is your thing, then buckle up because the sun is coming in hot! My fiancée and I needed a break from the daily grind and found the perfect oasis in Justinians unit. Fresh cup of coffee in the morning, a good book, and two Adirondack chairs on the poach for a sun rise and quiet was all we needed. Thank you again for the escape!

    Anders2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful space! Great view and a quick drive to get anywhere in the Pt Reyes area. Easy checkin and clean.

    Scott2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A relaxing retreat in the trees with easy access to trails, Lovers Landing provided us an ideal space for remote work week in Pt Reyes. The house is very simple, clean, and comfortable. There are not extra amenities, but everything you need is there -- and you have Pt Reyes out the front door! The deck is amazing, too. And for other travelers who need it -- the wifi was very reliable and strong. We highly recommend this AirBnB and would return happily.

  • Jim’s house is an amazing oasis in Point Reyes, perfect for a family or two couples. We enjoyed hanging in the open living and dining room, next to the fireplace, and with tons of natural light. The outdoor space is a kid (and adult wonderland) with a great deck, a nice bbq area, a bocce court, tennis court, basketball hoop, and plenty of room to run around. Home is nicely located in quiet residential street only a 10min walk to the main drag in Pt Reyes. Beds were great too! Great value for the price. Would definitely stay again. Ps: we enjoyed meeting Jim, who greeted us on arrival, and took the time to play tennis with our daughter. Great host!

    Will2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place - beautiful views and many seating areas from which to enjoy the hills and fields. The house is super comfortable with everything one could possible want. Jim and Ann have thought of everything. I'd go back in a minute!

  • This is such a perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway from Bay Area for a couple/small family. The house is minutes away from all the restaurants and stores in town. The town itself is centrally located to many hikes and beaches. Jim's place is stunning. The backyard is just a dream to wake up to. We loved it and we would love to come back!

    Ravi2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were two adult couples and enjoyed the Tennis House immensely. We felt welcomed and comfortable- the kitchen was well appointed and we were able to fix all our meals without lacking a thing. The gardens and grounds are lovingly taken care of - the tennis and bocce courts were a fun bonus. Luckily we had beautiful weather for hiking, exploring and relaxing, but the fireplace and coziness would have made it made it equally enjoyable had it been stormy. We were lacking for nothing and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Pt Reyes is one of my favorite places in the world and this is the perfect setting and location to enjoy it. The Tennis House is at the top of my list for future visits!

    Diana2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the Tennis House. Our friends loved the Tennis House! Both the inside space and the outside space were perfect for our birthday gathering. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we could wish for, from an oyster knife to a salad spinner, and the grill was a great extension of the kitchen space. How lovely to wake up in the mornings to sunshine on the ridge and a garden filled with fun things to do. We hope to visit again soon!

Close to Point Reyes National Seashore, the home is in a very quiet and serene neighborhood. Follow a walking trail from right outside the back gate to the quaint, historic town of Inverness.
  • Very comfortable and private guesthouse on the hills of Inverness. My wife and I really enjoyed exploring the area. The place is very cozy with lots of interesting art and outdoor decorations. The garden and koi pond create a very relaxing environment. Drinking tea or coffee on the patio in the morning and listening to the birds is the best part!

  • The place is actually much more beautiful than the pictures and Lindsay is very prompt with communications.. we would definitely revisit 😊

  • The most magical piece of oceanside yet woodsy retreat. The decor is beautiful with thoughtful touches of comfort, well designed. The outdoor area feels like a magical forest with nature all around. Thank you, Cathy for creative this space for your guests.

  • This place is absolutely beautiful. Incredible scenery right outside the the doors of the unit. Great place to get away for the weekend.

  • We spent 4 nights at this wonderful Airbnb and could have stayed longer. It was beyond comfortable, cozy, and zen. The setting is nourishment for the soul and we left, feeling relaxed & rejuvenated. We loved the space, the environment, and the yoga/meditation studio. We will be back!

  • This is one of those rare AirBNBs that makes you want to move and figure out how to live there. My girlfriend and I had just the getaway we needed. Inverness is so welcoming and relaxing and this place was perfect for resting and enjoying. The garden is sooooo relaxing and the bath with the open door (when I wanted) was perfect. The owner is an interior designer and it shows. I'd recommend this to anyone. This is one of those places that feels just like home, but the best part is there the area you stay isn't someone else's home, it's just for guests which makes it feel perfect for anyone.

    Matthew2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place was incredible, unique and super comfortable. The view from the deck was the best part. Super tranquil and great star gazing. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Lia2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was truly enchanting! From the beautifully landscaped grounds to the functional bohemian appointments, our stay was one of a kind. Cathy and team was extremely responsive and even helped to return items we accidentally left. Two nights was not enough to explore Inverness! Highly recommend this Airbnb Plus!

The Maple Cottage sits on a 12-acre property surrounded by trees with a view of Tomales Bay. This clean, modern studio is bright and open with high wood ceilings, radiant-heat floors, king bed, full bath, Coyuchi linens and EO soaps.
PLEASE NOTE: We have another rental home, FoxGlove Retreat, on the same property, adjacent to the Maple Cottage. These can be rented together or separately. Together they can comfortably sleep 8 adults. The Maple Cottage was lovingly designed by the owners to be a retreat for their friends and family. Surrounded by trees and tasteful landscaping, the cottage's large screenless windows on all sides make this studio light and spacious. There are three buildings on the property. One is the owners' home, which has a completely separate parking and entry area. The second structure is the Maple Cottage, and the third is FoxGlove, a 3 bedroom house sometimes used as a vacation rental as well. The Maple Cottage is freestanding, but we do want to make it clear that there is a home on each side of the cottage, and there may be a few other people around. That said, we've had few complaints from guests, as you can see from the reviews. We're all here to enjoy the serenity.
The cottage is 150 yards from a quiet residential road that only sees a handful of cars each day. Most of the homes on our road are tucked back into the forest on long driveways. Just strolling up and down our road is a lovely hike, with plenty of plants and wildlife to take in. No streetlights, no light pollution, no noise. Just peace and quiet. We have a wonderful "recommendations" letter we can send you, full of local information, tips, suggestions, cautions, etc...
  • Beautiful home with really interesting architecture on a peaceful property with a view. Very close to Point Reyes Station and to the national seashore. Roomy space with a king sized bed. No cooking facilities so you can enjoy the local food. The wifi works well but note there is no TV.

  • Aaron has amazing info, do everything he suggests! We loved our stay, very comfortable and clean space that’s the perfect location to explore the area. We can’t wait to come back :)

  • We enjoyed the lovely views of the bay and the comfy bed to come back to after our adventures. The host worked really hard to provide lots of great local suggestions, too.

  • Great space, and excellent hosts!

    Samuel2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Maple Cottage is one of my favorite Airbnb stays yet. The main appeal of Point Reyes is its pristine and stunning nature, and the Cottage provides the perfect observatory to immerse in the area’s surrounding beauty. When waking up with all of the shades open (a luxury enjoyed by the fact that there happened to not be any occupants in the neighboring buildings for the duration of our stay), we were able to see the sunrise through the trees. The views here are truly unbeatable. Aaron clearly takes a lot of pride in this space, and it has a lot of very special and thoughtful touches, from a book collection about local food and history, to comfortable bathrobes. The heat also worked perfectly, which was much appreciated as it was in the 30s at night! Usually when I travel I’m out and about a lot, but the space really invites you to slow down and observe - you can enjoy the outdoor environments in a comfortable, serene space. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! We hope to visit the Maple Cottage and the splendor of Point Reyes again someday soon.

    Mara2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Aaron's place for the weekend at Point Reyes and it was very pleasant. Getting in was a little difficult (we arrived on a pouring night), but once we settled in, we felt very comfortable. Nice bed, clean space, and enough amenities. These are all we wanted for a nice weekend at Point Reyes Station. Aaron was very prompt with our questions and gave us helpful tips for the place as well as for interesting local spots/activities.

The Creekside Cottage in Point Reyes Station is a simple, modern craftsman with beautiful light all around. New construction, completed in 2017, it features serene quiet at night, bird viewing, and relaxing. Walk into town or head for the beaches from here. (It is not in Bolinas, online maps services are still confused about this fact)
Deer and bird watching are our favorite pastime here, enjoy quiet time on the deck.
The walk into town is one mile. Point Reyes Station is worth it year around. Visit the print shop or the saddlery.
  • This was our second extended stay in Hilmar's cottage. We had a very restful and rejuvenating time. We walked to town to the exceptional bakeries and the unmatched independent bookstore. We hiked along Tomales Bay and then drove to Chimney Rock and to Limantour for fabulous birding. The cottage is charming, homey, and comfortable. We've already booked our next extended stay.

    Pat2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This gem of a place is cozy, warm, stylish and convenient. We enjoyed the Great Horned Owl chorus every evening, too! I won at darts, by the way, and we enjoyed a meal at the large dining table while being warmed by the wood stove. So close to town for access to the Bovine Bakery, the bookstore, and Stellina, the best restaurant north of the Golden Gate featuring local produce, cheese, breads and meats. Can’t go wrong!

    Alan2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cottage in an extremely gorgeous part of the country. Hilmar was extremely thoughtful and helpful and everything at his place exceeded our expectations. If you want a home away from home in a beautiful part of California, this is your spot!

    Tina2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hilmar is very gracious and generous. His Airbnb is very comfortable, quiet and private. It's a great place for birding, for nature pursuits and close enough to Point Reyes Station for walking and enjoying the natural surroundings and town.

    Pat2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended. First about the cottage. Great location in the heart of one of my favorite spots in California: Point Reyes. Second about the host. Hilmar is communicative, friendly, and flexible. If you're looking to stay in the area: Hilmar and the cottage are highly recommended.

    Steijn2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was an exceptionally clean, lovely place for a quiet retreat over a long weekend. We used the cottage as a base to explore Point Reyes National Seashore (hike where you can see the elk!) and Point Reyes Station, which is a quirky and fun little small town with interesting shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed hanging out at the cottage, drinking local wine and eating local cheese. It is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a horse farm where the deer stroll by quite regularly.

    Renee2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views, quiet, and comfortable. Don’t know about you, but that is all I need to make for a great stay. Hilmar was very accommodating and available for anything yet very private. Nice touches.

  • Wonderful place to relax and enjoy the nature. The house is very cosy and stylish. Very quiet location yet close to "downtown". Communications with the host were always fast and enjoyable.

This 1970's reclaimed wooden house is a small part of history. Built with timbers from Fort Mason and an old buoy used as the main fireplace. We rent three bedrooms. Each has it's own full bathroom and queen bed. The house is three stories. Guests have full use of the kitchen living and common areas.
Fireplace is made from an old buoy found under the Golden Gate Bridge Due to the fire season in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa. For the safety of our guests and our house. There are no fires allowed in any of the house fire places. At anytime during the year. We have central heating, and fires are only allowed when it’s an allowable burn day designated by Marin county. We’re sorry to have to enforce this rule. We have three cats and one golden doodle dog. The cats and dog are not allowed in the guest rooms.
The area we live is spectacular and full of activities.
  • We thoroughly appreciated the clean, quiet and comfortable bedroom in this cozy home. The Tomales Bay Area has poor cellular reception, but is one of our favorites for hiking and cruising the country road. The small town of Point Reyes Station is a quaint and timeless gem. A stay at this home, a short distance from town, is a perfect combination for a memorable weekend.

    Raquel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Gabriel’s. We only had a short stay, but the communication was great and so were the hosts. Our room was clean and fit our needs perfectly. We made friends with their very fluffy cat as well. Great location, interesting house.

  • Gabriel and Elizabeth’s place is quiet, clean, spacious and calming. It is a couple minutes drive to lovely restaurants and shops of the area. We appreciated the thoughtful decorations and the whole place made us feel at ease. Elizabeth was very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly when she welcomed us. I would definitely come again!

No kitchen so don't try to cook, but there are several good restaurants very close. And best of all there is Pt Reyes National Seashore - one of the most beautiful and spiritual places on earth!

    Ellen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place. I hope to stay here again sometime soon. Very private and really cozy. Check in was easy and great communication. My husband and I had planned on mostly getting out and hiking as we usually do in Point Reyes, but ended up feeling a bit under the weather and mostly stayed put. The place was so nice, we still had a great time just enjoying the surrounding nature right there, the hot tub, and the really comfortable bed. Really lovely space with nice touches and I was pleasantly surprised by the collection of books worth perusing. Only thing that could have made the place better would have been if it included a friendly cat or a cozy fireplace now that we're past fire season.

Nestled in the treetops overlooking Tomales Bay, the InverNest is the perfect hideaway for your Point Reyes National Seashore adventure. Located only minutes from downtown Point Reyes Station, The InverNest is convenient yet will make you feel like you are miles away.
This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom elegantly rustic brown shingle cabin is in a magical setting with old Inverness charm. The former hunting lodge is rich in original old growth redwood cabinetry and is nestled in the treetops overlooking Tomales Bay and surrounded by lush, ever-blooming gardens (great for birdwatching!). The InverNest features a multi-level outdoor area perfect for entertaining or kicking back to relax. The outdoor lounge area is soaked in all-day sun… but even after the sun sets you can turn on the twinkle lights and enjoy the patio long into the evening. The patio also features a hot tub, a gas grill, an outdoor dining area, custom-made fountains, and countless plant varieties. The house itself has 2 bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom. Every bed in the house is dressed with organic cotton sheets and deliciously comfy bedding. The “Garden Bedroom” is located on the main floor of the house. The InverNest is located in between Inverness and Inverness Park. Both are quaint towns with everything you need for a great vacation! Inverness Park is home to Inverness Park Market- a market like no other. At the market you can get anything from a gallon of milk to a gourmet dinner. Known for their piled-high deli sandwiches and delicious nightly dinner specials, this market is not to be missed! Spirit Matters is another Inverness Park must-see. You will be enchanted by it's whimsical front garden, but your heart will melt once you step inside. With books, stones, jewelry, stationary, art galore, this store is nothing short of magical. Just a few miles down the road is the town of Inverness. This town is unbelievably charming. Whether it be a meal at the Saltwater Oyster Bar, a delicious cup of coffee from the Blackbird cafe, or a pint from Vladamir's, you can't go wrong in Inverness. Make sure to look out at the bay to see the famous Point Reyes beached boat!

We loved the hot tub, the wood burning fireplace, the outdoor table with views of Tomales Bay and watching hawks fly by from the living room. The kitchen is small, but well stocked. There's a lovely pond/fountain outside too! We had a wonderful weekend and spent a lot of time at the cottage!

From the living area there is lovely view toward Tomales Bay and the rolling hills beyond– nice views into the private garden from the Master Bedroom too. The Captain’s Cabin -- Welcome This is the upper unit of a two unit house. For larger groups we recommend renting both units. This unit has a full kitchen, dinning room, large living room with a wood burning fireplace (with a queen high from the ground brand new blow-up mattress), two bedrooms (one queen size bed and two singles), and two full bathrooms. Please note the two single beds are located in a room referred to as the sleeping porch (our personal favorite room of the house) adjoining the master bedroom. Guests staying in the sleeping porch must walk through the master bedroom to access a bathroom. When they retired in the 1970s, my grandparents chose this location so that he and my mother could have a quiet life in the woods, but at the same time could see the horizon and part of the sea.
  • Point Reynes happens to be one of my most favorite places in CA. Our stay here added to the beautiful scenery of Point Reynes. The view is so beautiful and the decor is very cozy and inviting. I will for sure rebook this place when we come back to Point Reynes.

  • This is my third attempt...the page keeps disappearing... everything at Dino’s was just as described...comfy bed, wonderful shower and hot tub on the private deck overlooking a beautiful garden and yard with majestic trees...we appreciated the microwave and the mini fridge, too.

  • Had a wonderful weekend getaway at Dino’s place. Everything is as described. The hot tub was turned on and ready before we arrived and was such a nice treat especially after a day of hiking. Would definitely book this place again!

  • Such a wonderful place to spend New Years! Upon arriving, we really enjoyed meeting Dino & her sweet pup and thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful setting Dino’s home sits in. We loved our private bedroom & deck, comfy bed, great shower and delicious coffee each morning. A special treat to relax in the private hot tub after our fantastic 10 mile hike on NYE! We loved the location! Close enough to town to walk to dinner our first night, and right around the corner from a meadery, called Heidrun - our first time to one and we loved learning & tasting their delicious champagne’s! Such a memorable time for us in beautiful Point Reyes Station, we will definitely look to stay with Dino again on a future visit!

  • Fantastic little spot that is private and a close walk to Point Reyes station. The hot tub was clean and extra toasty! We had a great time and look forward to booking again.

  • Dino's place in Pt. Reyes Station is a wonderful spot for a weekend stay. So close to the little downtown area! The hot tub was such a treat. Everything was clean and tidy.

    Delaney2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Dino's room was the perfect place for us to unwind and relax for a few days. Her response time was so quick, and she made sure we were comfortable during our stay. The location is less than a 5 minute drive from a ton of eateries (like Side Street Kitchen, Cowgirl Creamery), the market, a hardware store, and other cute stores (we loved Toby's!). But of course our favorite part was the hot tub, which was perfect after a long day of hiking. We would highly recommend Dino's place for anyone wanting to escape the city life.

    Dylan & Pauline2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Dino's place was very well represented through the pictures and write-up, it was exactly as we expected. The room was large with wonderful high ceilings and a very nice bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and fit two people comfortably. The location was very quiet and felt remote, but is in fact very close to town. Dino is a great host. She sent us directions and checked in on us during the stay. I would recommend staying here if you want to be close to Point Reyes in a nice quiet location.

    Deborah2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, clean, and cozy. We were in the area for a bioluminescent kayaking tour so it was great to have a convenient place to stay after getting off the water late at night. It was a super quick trip to town the next day for exploring in Point Reyes! Dino was very accommodating and communicative with our arrival and planning for the trip.

My place is close to Point Reyes National Sea Shore and Tomales Bay, . You’ll love my place because of the great views from every room and 6 acres of hiking trails on property. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and fitness enthusiasts.Having lived in West Marin for 48 years I have hiked all of Marin County and have many recommendations for ultimate adventure hikes. Those who are interested in improving their health can learn from my 48 years of daily making fresh raw vegetable juice
The house has 62 windows and is high on a ridge that looks out without seeing any other houses.Recently a bird watching couple spotted 33 kinds of birds during a 30 minute walk around my 6 acres. I have 16 chairs with cushions placed on the trails, to sit and take in the views of Tomales Bay and the surrounding mountains. Take the 43 picture tour and see it.
Laurel Street is a dead end street up on a ridge in the woods and is super quiet.
  • We were looking for a place to stay overnight to make an early morning kayak trip. Randy's place is in a great location, really close to a lot of trails and also to Pt. Reyes Station. Randy was very helpful, had a lot of great books and information about the surrounding area.

    Helen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's advice and local knowledge really helped us make the most of a quick stay in Point Reyes. Plus, the home is at a super convenient location with beautiful views you can see just from the window.

    Grace2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed at Randy’s place one night but it was great! Randy’s place is very spacious and has a great view from the bedroom! We had such a nice time talking with Randy about music and other similar interests! Thanks Randy!

    Alexandra2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Randy’s place can’t be beat. He is very welcoming and the view is outstanding. The whole house- particularly the bathroom and bedroom- were super clean. The bed is so comfortable and what a treat to sleep looking out the window at the stars.

    Shari2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Randy’s place is exactly as advertised! He is a fantastic resource for local adventures, and makes check-in & check-out super easy. We loved the massive windows from the room; it truly felt like such an escape from our city life. We can’t wait to come back for all the adventures we didn’t get to the first time - thanks again Randy!

    Grace2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view, probably the best I've got in an Airbnb. Large French windows provide great view throughout the hoise. Peaceful and quiet getaway, just what we needed. Randy is a great host and offers great conversation.

Bohemian Modern A- Frame two bed two bath spacious cabin located in Northern California in beautiful West Marin county. Cabin works well for a group of friends, two couples, or small families. Commune with nature, connect with loved ones or gift yourself a personal retreat in a gorgeous cabin with a view amongst a forested acre of bay trees, redwoods, and mature oaks. The A- Frame is between the quaint towns of Point Reyes, Inverness and Olema minutes from the wild wonders of Tomales Bay.
Welcome to the Inverness A-Frame! The A- Frame and surrounding property are the ideal locale for an intimate celebration, writer’s retreats, creative workshops, adventuring, or reading by the fire. We created this space as a personal sanctuary from our busy city lives and a place to re-charge in a truly gorgeous space with the wilds of West Marin just outside our doorstep. Please be sure to read the full detailed description below and explore our photos- and feel free to contact us with any additional comments and questions. The A-Frame is nestled on the Inverness Ridge minutes from the wonders of Tomales Bay. Although once you arrive you will likely not want to leave, if you care to venture out there are nearby beaches and trails where you can spend your days hiking, surfing, kayaking, or simply dreaming beneath the stars. We are about a 5 minute drive or lovely walk equidistant between the three sweet little towns of Point Reyes, Olema, and Inverness - and a scenic drive just over an hour from San Francisco or Oakland. Although you will mostly hear birds and the wind through the leaves, ambient sounds from the highway can sometimes be heard. The Cabin Built in the early 1970s with local Douglas Fir from a classic A-Frame floorpan the onyx building cuts a dramatic pose amongst the lush green trees. The interior of the a-frame was lovingly remodeled from top to bottom by one of the owners- a local interior designer with BLYTHE DESIGN CO .. known for her warm and eclectic style around the Bay Area and beyond. Modern bohemian furniture and hand-made artifacts, art, and accessories - many from local makers - adorn the cabin. The first floor features new rustic oak floors, two-story soaring triangular windows, an airy open kitchen with a limestone countertop, new white appliances and a farmhouse table with comfy eames chairs and a custom bench for long chats over dinner. We have a pour over coffee maker as well as a French press. Kitchen equipped with lots of pots and pans for baking and cooking. No microwave or electric kettle.. take it slow here:) NOTE: NO AIR CONDITIONER .. we have fans in the bedrooms ..Most Northern Cali homes don't A/C .. A new sofa next to the wood burning fireplace easily converts into two single beds or the pop-up trundle joins to make a queen bed for sleeping. Or just lounge by the fire with your feet up and a laptop to turn the cabin into an ideal remote office. A record player and an eclectic collection of LPs and nature inspired books for you to enjoy live on the shelves under the stairs (please do not take any with you and leave for others to enjoy). Note: we have no TV! Towards the back of the cabin is a lovely bedroom with a queen bed and new Keetsa eco-friendly organic mattress. Outside the bedroom door is a full bathroom with a wall hung sink, clawfoot tub with stand up shower, and cement encaustic tiles from Commune Design. A mudroom for boots and wet shoes leads out to the back deck that holds two double rustic wood chairs and a view of local ferns and newly planted huckleberry bushes. Upstairs is a mezzanine loft with a killer view of Black Mountain, a rattan hanging chair, and a super comfy L- shaped custom daybed perfect for an adult and child or a few kiddos (all children sleeping on our furniture must be potty trained)- you are welcome to bring a pop- up crib for the young un’s. Through the back there is a WC with a vintage sink and patterned encaustic tiles across the hall from a shower room encased in Heath tile and large new showerhead. The master bedroom has a light and airy California Modern vibe styled in neutral tones with a queen bed and new Keetsa mattress, dreamy bedding from local shop Coyuchi, and a huge triangular window that frames the trees outside. After dark it is the ultimate place to gaze at the night sky. Note: there are no window coverings in this room. It would be a sin to cover up the view.. only the moon and squirrels will be able to see in, as it is at the back of the house high above the deck. If you are sensitive to light, bring an eye mask if sleeping anywhere but the downstairs bedroom. Although not ADA compliant down to the letter, the entrance of the A-Frame is equipped to acommodate wheelchairs or walkers- there is a ramp that leads to the front door and the downstairs bathroom sink is wall mounted for easy access. The A-Frame is a sanctuary for all to rest, recharge and create. Designed with a 'slow' pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making breakfast in our open kitchen, to choosing the perfect record to put on as the sun sets, or by relaxing on the deck in the heated seats under a moonlit sky. When the weather turns enjoy watching the storm pass over the mountain cozy by the fire with hot toddy in hand. The Exterior There is a stunning view of Black Mountain from our huge deck equipped with a custom outdoor dining table made from local timber, grill (currently not available for use due to local fire danger) and two heated concrete seats (you will never want to get up!) When here you will likely share the forest with foxes, deer, and owls- sightings from the deck and our land are frequent. Although gatherings or events are strictly prohibited without previous permission, the deck is an ideal locale for a small quiet dinner, yoga class, or creative arts workshop (contact host for more information on renting the cabin for a class or workshop). The cabin is across the street from a walking path that leads to the towering trees and coastal trails that make up the Bear Valley wilderness. There is a tent on property that has taken on some water... best to stay out of for now. - NO EXTRA UNATHORIZED GUESTS can sleep there. There is also a detached art studio/play space you are welcome to use. Feel free to play with the art supplies that are there- but please don’t take any with you or into the house. It is a charming vintage art studio- check it out before sending kiddos out to play. THE INVERNESS A-FRAME IS A *SANCTUARY* FOR ALL.... • This is our 2nd time visiting this magical cabin and I can’t think of another place I wanted to spend my birthday weekend at. Blythe is sincerely one of the most thoughtful host I have ever encountered and we have visited many Airbnb’s. Pictures do not capture all of the absolute beauty, serenity and special touches this cabin and area offer as a whole. Only a true artist and someone that truly enjoys providing there guest with the highest amount of hospitality could provide the experience Blythe is giving us here in sharing this magical space. I assure you this cabin cannot disappoint. Thank you again Blythe. Until the next time.🤎

  • This is an incredible space! We came back after staying here last year and were not disappointed. The decor and small touches make it a special place and not your average Airbnb.

    Erik2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is the A+ A-frame. Could not have been a nicer location or a more beautiful space for a weekend retreat. Blythe responded quickly to all questions and helped make our getaway smooth.

    Julian2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Blythe's space for a personal retreat. We had a delightful time. The space is thoughtfully designed and from the first moment you walk in prepares your mind and body to relax. The location is very close to Point Reyes Station and the entrance to the Point Reyes national seashore.

  • The Inverness A-Frame is magical. Once you arrive, you won't want to leave. From the interior design and perfect selection of books, records, and games, to Blythe's generous hospitality and exquisite furnishings, this house has it all. It's the perfect weekend getaway for Bay Area people and those traveling from further away. We can't wait to return.

    Julia2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Blythe's Inverness A-Frame was magical in every respect. The location is ideal - surrounded by forest and still close to great restaurants, cafes, and some of the best hiking trails and scenery in NoCal. The cabin is a sanctuary. Every detail in the space has been thoughtfully designed and evokes feelings of warmth, connection and inspiration. We loved our slow mornings with pour over coffee, music from the record player and browsing through books as we lounged by the fire. The bed and bathroom linens are dreamy and the view of the stars through the trees at night from the master bedroom is something else. Blythe is an exceptional host. THE BEST. She's thought of everything to make a stay at the A-Frame as nice and comfortable as you can imagine. She was communicative and shared several well thought out details and recommendations that served to be helpful additions to our trip. We would love to stay here again.

    Jennifer2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Blythe’s a-frame is the stuff dreams are made of...perfection in every way. Every single detail is done with thought & style, and I honestly wouldn’t change a thing inside or out. It’s beautiful and comfortable which is hard to accomplish! I look forward to staying here again in the future. It’s heaven - in a perfect location surrounded by nature with a view to die for. I am grateful for our time there!

  • This small cottage is a gem! Everything was ready to go and Marion had quick responses to my questions. The place had everything I needed for a private get away, and the amenities were exactly as described and advertised. The suggestions given for things to do worked out swimmingly! This was just what I needed and wanted for my solo retreat away from the craze of a busy life. I will definitely be back again to try the outdoor shower. This is my new go-to for visiting Point Reyes area! If you're looking for a small place for 1-2 people to get away and unplug for a while, this is definitely the place to go. The walk to town is not only short (~10 minutes), but also beautiful. Selfishly, I don't want to advertise this place as I intend to keep coming back and don't want it to be all booked up! Thanks again Marion and team!

The area is a prime location for outdoor enthusiasts with activities like hiking, kayaking, camping and sailing. The town of Point Reyes is 10 minutes away with a few restaurants.
Best suited for adults. Check Out is 11 AM
Inverness is one of the most beautiful coastal communities in the US.
  • A very peaceful and tranquil location, with a nice deck to enjoy a beverage and book.

    Laura2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at the Nest this weekend. The cottage was cozy, clean, and super close to the Point Reyes and Inverness main streets as well as hiking trails. Alexis was a wonderful host who made sure to check about us having everything we needed. We were to cook up a few homemade meals thanks to the kitchen and equipment in the cottage. I’d recommend staying there in a heart beat!

    Claudia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed 3 nights and found the off-street location to be fantastically quiet. We loved the fabulously comfortable bed and linens, the well equipped kitchen and comfortable seating area. Views of the Bay were sublime. We would stay here again!!

    Meg2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful weekend escape. The cabin is great, has everything you need to stay in for the weekend or be a launching place to go explore. Alexis was a fantastic host

    Stephen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable cabin, well outfitted for folks who like privacy and who like to cook! The location is stunning; next to all the best hikes in the area. I loved the iron stove, the wood structure, and the quiet of the space. Lots of room for yoga, both in the cabin and on the enormous porch! But the real mark of a great airbnb is how responsive the host is when things don't go according to plan, and by that measure, Alexis was the absolute best! During my stay, the earthquake valve temporarily shut off the heat. I reached out to Alexis and she was swift, responsive, and generous with me. She resolved the problem with impressive speed, and I was back to enjoying the beautiful trails Pt Reyes has to offer in no time. A wonderful property, well-run by someone who has clear pride of ownership. I hope to return soon. Thank you!

  • This cabin was great! My wife and I had a lovely weekend in Inverness and environs and the cabin was perfect for relaxing and as a base-camp for our travels. Very easy check-in and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout. We even got to give belly rubs to a nice neighbor dog.

    Adam2020-02-11T00:00:00Z

  • This is a big cottage in the garden of the main house. It is very private as it is hidden by trees and has its own parking area. The cottage has a big bedroom, very big kitchen & living room area, bathroom, separate toilet and a deck looking into the forest. It really is very lovely and in the most beautiful area you can imagine with forests, beaches and beautiful walks everywhere. We had two nights here and had dinner in Point Reyes Station both nights - once at Side Street Kitchen & once at Cafe Reyes. I highly recommend both.

  • Such a comfortable cottage, with radiant-heated floors (wonderful on a cold day!) and a view from the living room and bedroom out into the woods. So quiet and peaceful, and convenient to Pt. Reyes. Enjoy!

  • This was my sixth time back to Christopher and Molly's cabin and nothing compares to the light, serenity and magic of that space. It is a sanctuary and a gift, as is the hospitality that comes with it. A treasure!

    Julie2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Molly and Christopher's home is a beautiful, tranquil getaway from busy city life. The photos do not accurately capture the peacefulness of the surroundings or the quaint charm of the home itself. The area becomes quite dark at night, but Molly and Christopher were prompt with their communication and provided detailed instructions on how to find the cottage. It is further recommended to not trust Google Maps in the area, as it can be inaccurate at times. This was an incredibly memorable stay and I hope to book with them again soon!

  • Quaint place in a great area close to nature and to town. Nice bonfire pit in the yard and leash attached to the tree for the dog was a plus. Only negative was loud construction/landscaping in the morning that woke us up around 8 am. Would stay again!

  • Comfortable colorful and cozy come together nicely with this destination. The location is great the accommodations are unexpectedly fun and the setting creates wonderful memories. If you take great joy from simple things this is a place you will connect with

  • We had a really fun time staying at Ewa's camper. The space was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Special touches like welcome chocolates, fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast and even wood in the fire pit helped make the stay even more fun. Great location for exploring Point Reyes and just a few minutes to restaurants and shops just down the way. We hope to come again in the future!

    Kelly2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Your cabin is really unique- location like no other close to the outer farms of Tomales Bay and Point Reyes. Perfect for a quiet weekend city escape- we went there for a romantic valentines getaway. Also lovely there was some eggs, bread, coffee and tea for breakfast as there is no coffee shop around!

    Josephine2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ewa is a great host and her property is so comfortable. Will definitely return!

    Kenny2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ewa's place is even better than pictured. Lovely setting, super cozy and comfortable with lots of great touches.

    Lisa2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ewa's RV was clean, well furnished, thoughtfully managed, and chock full of amenities. The only downside was that we had to leave!

Sparkling New 1 BR Cottage - a hidden sanctuary close to village shops, beaches and outings. Private spa, luxury queen & twin daybed. Great room with huge kitchen island for conversing & cooking, sunset views, WIFI, Direct TV, Netflix.
The Sparkling New Cottage is freshly built and is nestled away in the back of a property located in one of the village's rural neighborhoods. Taking the raised pathway to the house, it feels like you have entered your own secret garden and are far away, yet you are less than a mile from downtown Point Reyes village and shops. Without getting back into your car, you can walk down the easy back trail right into town. Immaculate, well equipped kitchen with huge granite island that spans the great room for easy cooking, conversation, and Netflix. Blender, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and French coffee press, wine and other glasses, all dishes, pots & pans. Fridge and sink provide filtered water. Fridge icemaker and water easily accessed on front panel. Secluded, brand new outdoor spa for quiet, nighttime star gazing. Beds for 2: a luxury pillow top queen in the bedroom and a day bed in the living room. The covered front porch is spectacular for sunset views over Inverness Ridge or morning coffee - rain or shine. The house is surrounded by grass and gardens with views all around. It sits near a former seasonal pond that is long gone, but still the ducks and birds fly around the yard as if they remember. The sunny location allows for enjoyment of the outdoors year-round. Taking a private hot tub under the black and starry night sky or watching the winter storms roll in are experiences that will ease your mind and enliven your senses. Having the comforts of WIFI, Direct TV, Netflix and phone will keep you connected while finding yourself in the beauty of a small village. The house is completely independent from the other dwelling on the property and is set apart with zen-like privacy screens. Guests have their own parking space. Smoking and pets are not allowed. House is located just 3.5 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore visitor center where you can get information regarding the beaches, bay, lagoon, estero, forests, meadows, wild life, birds, creeks, rivers, trails. Lighthouse just 30 minute drive. Close to fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, wine tasting, photographing. Experience the wilderness beauty - rolling green hills and ocean cliffs with sunshine sparkling on the water and dramatic sunsets.
The house is located in a quiet, rural neighborhood in Point Reyes Station, across the street from a horse ranch that is only partially used. The house is located on a dead-end road so there is no traffic except for those of us who live here. One side of the road has houses on it like ours; the other side is pastures with grazing horses, along with the horse ranch and olive trees that slope down to the willows of Tomasini Creek. Guests are encouraged to walk downtown by taking the back path at the end of the road. On your way you will stop at your own private vista point and marvel at the view between where you are standing in our neighborhood and the Inverness Ridge, with Tomales Bay in between. The back path makes for a delightful walk into town - down the hill, along the creek and over the boarded walkway. Neighbors are friends because of the rugged lifestyle required to live in this area - not exactly 'off the grid', but similar - stacking wood and making fires for heat; gardening and growing our own food and eggs; playing and working outdoors; home made cooking vs fast food; sharing life's joys and burdens. Guests are also encouraged to walk the other direction and stop in for a tasting at the Heidrun Meadery, one of the region's unique businesses, where mead is made from fresh honey; or drive a mile north and stop at the Point Reyes winery for a tasting before you reach the ranch where the famous Point Reyes Bleu cheese is made. And right downtown is live theatre, music, and dance, and awesome food. The CowGirl Creamery is there, along with the Bovine Bakery, (famous for morning buns) and Brickmaiden Bread (famous for sourdough loaves made in outdoor ovens). And Toby's Feed Barn is the village centerpiece for everything from community gatherings, to art shows (stop in and see whose art is being displayed) to everything a barn stands for. If you love outdoor adventure, wilderness, local grown food, wine, olive oil, bread, pizza, it's only a walk away from your cottage.
  • Great place, very clean and comfortable. Quiet and serene and an easy walk to the shops and cafes of Point Reyes. Hospitable and communicative hosts. Recommended.

  • The Cottage is spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quiet. The kitchen is astonishing enormous for a BnB! The gas fireplace keeps everything cozy. Minutes to the Main Street and super-handy to the National Seashore. We love Point Reyes and hope to stay with Nancy again soon!

    Bryce2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t ask for a better weekend or more peaceful setting! We enjoyed walking to Bovine Bakery and Toby’s Barn for breakfast pastries and hiking all over Pt Reyes. The hot tub was restorative. Great location!

    Teresa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful spot to unwind. A lovely 5-minute walk from town, but peaceful and private. We soaked in the hot tub, watched the birds fly around, and curled up by the gas fire at night. We were only there for two nights, but were so relaxed that it felt like we were there for a week. Will definitely be back.

    Kat2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and lovely, in an absolutely perfect location, just a short walk from the center of town. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

  • Beautiful space, not too far from town. Very clean and a lovely setting.

    Matthew2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's place was just as described, in fact even better. The landscape and private garden made us feel as if we were far from civilization, yet it was just down the block from Point Reyes Station, a cute little town filled with excellent restaurants, excellent bakeries and a fantastic book store! We would highly recommends this hidden gem in such a perfect location.

Located in the forest, this cottage is a perfect place to relax. The house was completed in 2017. It is beautifully decorated with bamboo floors and oriental rugs. A deck with chaises and a dining table make it a wonderful place to enjoy the forest view. 750 sq feet

  • A gem! We loved everything about this cottage. It is nestled in the forest just outside of Inverness...private, but definitely not isolated. It is just a quick 5-minute drive to Inverness, and only 15 minutes from the entrance to park headquarters. The layout of the cottage is perfect - just the right amount of space for a couple, and maybe one other person. The furnishings and bed are very comfortable, and the view is terrific. There are a lot of personal touches that make this place feel very homey, and not just like another generic rental. The kitchen was very well appointed, and the place was sparkling clean. Susan was terrific about communicating. She let us know that the power had been shut off a few days before, and gave instructions on how to reset the thermostat. All communication was prompt and timely. We loved this place!

  • This is a lovely space - quiet, well-cared for, and centrally located between Pt. Reyes Station/Bear Valley and the Lighthouse/Drake's beach. The deck is amazing. The bed is comfortable. The heater, water pressure, and kitchen amenities work like a dream. Highly recommend.

    Jake2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place. Very peaceful and comfortable. Had everything we needed.

    Samantha2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an extremely nice, well appointed and comfortable cottage, in a beautiful location. The photos don't quite do it justice. When we arrived, we said to ourselves "wow this place is really nice!" The kitchen is great, everything you'd need is there, the bedroom and bed are very comfortable, and the large outside porch is really nice, with beautiful views, lots of sunshine. Plus the cottage is in a very peaceful and secluded location. We were very happy with our stay.

COMMUNITY Inverness is located on the west shore of Tomales Bay, which runs southeast along the line of the San Andreas Fault. Surrounded by Point Reyes National Seashore, it is primarily a residential community, with little industry other than tourism. It has a small downtown area with a general store, post office, library, two very good restaurants, one gift shop and a coffee shop. A third restaurant is located a short way north of downtown. There are also a number of hotels and inns spread throughout the town. Portions of the John Carpenter film The Fog as well as most of his film Village of the Damned were shot in and around Inverness. HISTORY The town of Inverness is 15 miles or so from Drake's Bay on the Pacific Ocean, named after Sir Francis Drake, who explored the coast in the 16th Century. Although Drake's official log was lost, the ship's doctor's log described landing in an area that reminded him of the White Cliffs of Dover. Drake's Bay is backed by similar-looking cliffs, leading many to believe this is where the ship landed. The region became the property of James Shafter, who began to develop the property in the 1890s. It became a summer resort where people from San Francisco and Oakland came to camp, hike and swim in Tomales Bay. Many built small summer cabins that still exist today. Small steamboats took day trippers down the bay to secluded beaches. They left from Brock Schreiber's boathouse, which has been preserved and is a prominent local landmark with its prominent sign "Launch for Hire". The first post office opened in 1897. In 1995, Inverness Ridge was the site of the Mt. Vision Fire, which burned a large area of Point Reyes National Seashore and a number of homes built on the ridge. The town itself was threatened but was saved by helicopters dipping water from Tomales Bay to drop on the Bishop pine forest between the town and the burning ridge top. Charming Point Reyes Studio Cottage. Sunny, Private Garden, Kitchen, Fireplace. Located on 3 acre farm complete with chickens, ducks, goose and sheep. And surrounded by Point Reyes National Seashore park lands.
  • We truly enjoyed our stay at Trinka’s cottage. The location is great for easy access to restaurants in Point Reyes, hiking trails and nearby beaches. But the best part of the experience for our 2.5 year old son was feeding the sheep and chickens on the property :)

    Mehdi2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little getaway right down the street from town and secluded on a lovely farm. Very clean and cozy with the sweetest dogs nearby!

    Heather2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Morning Glory cottage is cozy and charming and Trinka was a lovely hostess. Very nice light in the morning. Our kids really enjoyed seeing the chickens and sheep. The cottage is in a perfect location with respect to accessing Point Reyes hiking as well as the great local food scene. Don’t expect to do any serious cooking as the kitchen is more like a kitchenette with minimal cooking tools, but you can definitely make a simple meal.

    Ryan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at this quaint and fun Cottage! And I was so surprised and impressed that Trinka left 2 slices of delicious cake and candles for my birthday, which we were celebrating on this stay! The farm fresh eggs and cheese were also lovely. The cottage is centrally located for Pt. Reyes National Seashore, Pt. Reyes Station, and Inverness. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy, and warmed up quickly with the gas fireplace. We loved the view of the sheep and small pastures from the cottage, and enjoyed meeting the chickens, Joey the duck, and Tess the dog. We definitely recommend this cottage.

    Mary2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot with cute sheep running around. Get away and relax and enjoy the simple things.

    Ann2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Trinka's place is well located near the Point Reyes National Seashore headquarters and Bear Valley Trailhead, and very close to the town center. She was so welcoming, and her farm was delightful. Dogs, chickens, sheep, all made for a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

    Will2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Trinka’s place was a very sweet, cozy little cottage. The space is like a large guest room / studio. My family of 4 personally enjoyed the coziness (we had the sofa bed pulled out) so if cozy spaces are for you you’d love it too! :) You can see the sheep wandering around in the mornings and that was delightful. Wifi was really spotty (1 bar or none mostly) so I’d plan on having some good old fashioned hanging out with whoever you’re travelling with!

    Guan Rong2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two nights in the cottage over New Years, and loved it! It is a quiet, picturesque place to call home while exploring the area, and unplugging a bit. The location is perfect for seeing the park and surrounding towns. Everything was simple and straightforward, and we so appreciated Trinka’s hospitality. The space is clean and comes with thoughtful touches throughout. Can’t recommend enough!

1/2 mi to Pt Reyes Nat'l Seashore Park entrance. Remodeled, well appointed one-room stand-alone cottage. Kitchenette w/ cooktop, tile bathroom, Cal king bed. WiFi, Netflix, Large windows, nice light, small porch, patio, views of cows and scenic Hwy One. Ideal for 1 or 2 people. I have set to "4 guests" to allow 1 or 2 kids. We have floor mattresses & bedding.
This is a lovely cottage just as the pictures show. You will likely not see anyone here, very private. Please note that the back of it runs along Route One, a 30mph, 2 lane road. In the day you can hear the cars going by back and forth to town. In the day, chances are you are out having adventures at the many beaches and trails or enjoying other parts of this one-acre property. At night, out here in the country, the traffic really dies down. The cottage is ideal for 1 or 2 people (one Cal King bed). I have it set to "4" to allow for people to bring 1 or 2 kids, for whom we have floor matresses and all bedding. Please request this in advance. It is a slumber party but you are welcome to it! Additional amenities include the following which are all in your cottage: ~ Free WiFi ~ private bath with tile shower ~ 43” TV for watching Netflix, no channels. ~ Bluetooth speakers, CD player, CD’s. ~ kitchenette: electric cooktop, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker ~ peets coffee and assorted teas ~ cups, plates, wine glasses, utensils, pots and pans, etc ~ hairdryer, all bath products ~ please note there is no longer a woodstove in this cottage (prior reviews may have mentioned there were problems with it so we removed it.) ~ a guest recently suggested it might be helpful to know that there is a kitchen sink (right outside the bathroom door, but no sink inside the bathroom). I never thought to mention it before.
Farmlands and rolling hills and cows, located just 1/2 mile to the park entrance of the Point Reyes National Seashore. Five minute walk to the village of Olema and the amazing Sir and Star Restaurant.
  • Fabulous! Had a lovely, quiet weekend reading and walking around the property. Our son had the best time. Close to everything. Loved the touches re: the cottage history.

  • We had such a wonderful time at the Berry Patch Cottage. The space was huge, clean, and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. Jeri's an expert BnB hostess and knows exactly how to make our stay worthwhile. It's a home away from home. We'll be back here again. 🥰

  • This is our second stay with Jeri. We stayed at the other cottage previously and both experiences were wonderful. The location is incredible, we loved how close we were to Point Reyes. The cottage was very spacious yet cosy for me, my husband and our pup. We had everything we needed. Jeri even provided us with a lovely breakfast of bread, jam, fruit and yogurt. We look forward to our next stay at the Berry Patch Cottage.

  • The place was as advertised, but even better! My partner and I had a wonderful stay, we really couldn't think of anything that went wrong. The place had all the right amenities for us to be comfortable during the rainy weekend we spent in the area. The town was less than a 5min drive, so it was easy to shop around for us to cook at home. The area is peaceful and surrounded by nature, we even spotted some wildlife around the place! Highly recommend this place

The location is wonderful too - just a quick drive to fresh Tomales Bay oysters, the Point Reyes lighthouse, Point Reyes Station, and more! We'll definitely be back.

Bedroom #3 is just off the kitchen on the main level. Due to the fire season in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa.
  • Nice stay at a private home in Point Reyes Station! it is very convenient to restaurants and shops around Point Reyes Station. Pictures are exactly as shown with a lot of shared living space available if you choose to use it. As other reviewers have mentioned, bedroom #3 is located next to the kitchen with little sound insulation; however, we didn't have any noise issues during quiet hours. Guest bedrooms have individual locking doors with keys and private bathroom entrance is inside the bedroom itself. A lot of labeling around the house makes it convenient for Airbnb guests to navigate from the light switches to the cupboards.

  • Great stay, wonderful hosts, gave us our space but were there when we needed anything. Such a beautiful house and amazing location so close to town, definitely will stay again, thanks!!!

  • The best! This was the perfect escape. The house and porch are even more beautiful than the photos, and Gabriel and his wife couldn't be more lovely. Their place is very close to Point Reyes Station (walkable), and they had great tips for what to do in the area. They even picked us up from the local bus stop (turns out there are no taxis in Point Reyes)! The room was very clean and comfortable, with a great shower. I'm already planning a second trip.

  • We had a great stay! The house was clean and very well decorated and cared for. Elizabeth was very friendly and gave us some local recommendations. The walk to town is just over a mile - I would recommend bringing a flashlight or headlamp as it can be dark walking at night. We had a wonderful time and would come back!

  • Gabriel's place is perfect if you're looking to stay at Point Reyes. The location is roomy, clean, and very pretty. We didn't get to use the common area due to our schedule, but it looked really cozy. The location is conveniently located to many of the spots in Point Reyes so we didn't have to drive far. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

  • Beautiful house in walking distance to Pt. Reyes Station. A great value for a weekend away in the most beautiful seashore on earth!

  • Fabulous stay in point Reyes. Right across from the meadery, gorgeous interior, and a stones throw from point Reyes station! Would definitely recommend.

My place is close to Point Reyes National Sea Shore and Tomales Bay, . You’ll love my place because of the great views from every room and 6 acres of hiking trails on property. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and fitness enthusiasts.Having lived in West Marin for 47 years I have hiked all of Marin County and have many recommendations for ultimate adventure hikes. Those who are interested in improving their health can learn from my 47 years of daily making fresh raw vegetable juice
Take the 43 picture tour and see it
  • Great centralized location to explore the beautiful region!

  • Clear Acres is in a perfect location to enjoy which ever direction of the coast line you desire. Easy to get to super chill host and spectacular views. We honestly didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy the additional features of the home such as the music room or the hiking trails, but I plan to come back another time and enjoy that!!

  • My wife and I were looking for a place to stay while we explored Point Reyes National Seashore looking for birds and marine mammals over a long weekend. Randy’s place put us right at the doorstep of the park and provided a great view of Tomales Bay to the hills beyond. There are great places to eat just down the road. The room had plenty of space to stretch out after a day of hiking. Randy was friendly, helpful, and available if we had questions.

    Adam2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Randy was a great host with a cool place!! I plan to stay here again sometime.

    Michael2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's place has amazing views and the location is excellent. He is very knowledgeable about Pt Reyes and West Marin and was glad to share his knowledge. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. Randy was responsive with his communications and check-in was very easy. We would stay there again!

  • This was the perfect place to rest between two days of long hikes! The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Fantastic location for hiking/enjoying the outdoors (we did the Woodward Valley Trail, Point Reyes Lighthouse, Tomales Point Trail, & McClures beach). Randy left us maps & gave us great hiking tips!

    Jenna2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • It was a comfortable and clean place. There are multiple rooms that are reserved by different guests, but the rooms are spread out enough that you’re not running into guests. The interior design is very 70s and it was interesting to just walk around and see the views and the quirkiness of the interior. Randy is very friendly as well and he was a great host.

  • There is a lot of local character to be found in every detail at the reclaimed wood chalet. We we were surrounded by quiet nature, and located very near the town and in the center of The Point Reyes National Seashore park preserve.

  • Beautiful home, comfortable and clean room, perfect location.

    Andrea2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house just a minute or two from ‘downtown’ Point Reyes Station. My room was perfect for me. A comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Exactly what I wanted. Very quiet and private- as someone who was leaving before 7.00am every morning and going to bed at 9.00 pm it was everything I could have hoped. Highly recommended.

    David2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! Excellent location- close to hiking, restaurants and fresh oysters! We appreciated the privacy in the spacious home. Thank you! We will be back.
