Places to stay in Palauig

Places to stay in Palauig
Painawa means to rest or to breath in Sambal (local dialect). Positioned in the city center of Iba, Zambales, this place is close to everything like banks, local market, restaurants, local delicacies, sports complex etc. It is home of the sweetest mango in the world and long stretch of pristine beaches.
It is perfect for a couple getaway, and people who are looking to chill and relax, Painwa has a modern designed room. The property is a 5-10 minute bike ride from Iba Beach and Zambales mountain range (Bikes are free of charge).
The neighborhood is full of friendly locals and local shops for "Pasalubong" like Zambales Mango, pastillas, Zambales suman, linga, etc.
  • The host was very friendly and accommodating. She gladly answered every question we have regarding the area. She even offered us a ride to the beach and other places. The room was super clean with modern design and appliances. There were bikes for strolling around the city or to the beach. Safe rin kasi there was a guard on duty at night. Really comfortable to stay in, parang hotel – hindi tinipid! 5/5, highly recommended!

  • I looked extensively for a place to stay in Iba. Josephine's place was the most modern, clean and comfortable. Both Josephine and her husband immediately made me feel welcome.

  • Thank you Sir Vic or our wonderful stay. The place was exactly how it was described. It is clean and comfy. The location was just 10 steps away from the beach. If you guys want to have a stress-free weekend you might as well book with host. We are even able to visit Magalawa Island thanks for Sir Vic's contacts and recommendation. It was a 20 minute boat ride and you will be able to enjoy white sand beaches and a serene coast. We are able to visit 2 beaches on our stay with him. We will definitely be staying with him again. Five stars!! :)

  • We've had a lovely stay at Josephine's place. It's very near to everything- places to eat, grocery, ATMs. They have bikes you can borrow. Beach is 5 or 10 mins tricycle ride. The place is very clean and very nice. Breakfast is also good. The hosts are very accomodating. They're just one text away and very responsive. They are very accomodating and will definite book this place again when we go back to zambales. It's good value for your money. We even extended our stay here. Thank you ate Josephine and to your husband. And also to kuya Randy for giving us a ride to the terminal. :)

  • If I could only give this place 10 stars, I would. I often use Airbnb and I can undoubtedly say that this is the best space I’ve been in. The place is spotless and smells really good. It is complete with quality amenities. And on top of all that, this comes with free hearty breakfast and they have bikes you could use as well. Definitely got my money’s worth. Thank you, Ms. Josephine! I would love to go back!

  • Loved the place! The caretaker, Kuya Obet guided us to the resort. We also met the owner, and she was lovely to talk to. It was quiet and we had the beach to ourselves. The kitchen was also well equipped and they have a kubo where we can eat and play games. Thanks and we had a great time!

    Hannah2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Shirley's place was outstanding! It's literally a minute away from the beach. Plus, we get to own the place for our entire stay! If you're looking for a real escape from the city, a province like very chill stay here in Zambales, then this place is for you. The location was 15 minutes or more away from the center so it's advisable that you bring everything that you need with you to not cost additional expense for a back and forth trip. The tricycle service was 150 pesos for 4 pax. Kuya Obet was kind enough to secure us a ride when needed, even as late as 12 midnight! Thank you so much! Will definitely book again 👍👍👍

  • The place was clean and organized and good enough for the price. The location was also easy to find. The owners weren't there to accommodate us but their housekeeper guided us around town. Overall, we had a great stay at the guesthouse.

  • Patrick is really a super host. Soon as we booked he sent us the exact address which we used on Google map and there we were on their cozy house. Patrick and his wide welcomed us and Patrick assisted us on our room and gave us instructions and maps for the restos and places to see. The place was fantastic! I was able to sleep without my sleeping pill. It was really clean and complete with amenities! We love feeling secured in their place. Thank you Patrick and wife. We would highly recommend the place.

  • Excellent host and very kind hospitality. We had to cut our trip short due to a family matter and Patrick was very understanding and gracious. This place is a nice warm and charming get away from the city. We would stay here again and again. We loved the adorable Labrador dogs who were so friendly. A+

  • Very lucky to live in Patrick's house. I am very happy to drive myself from the distant Manila and find a place to live. The arrival time is very late. The first feeling of getting off the bus is really like going to heaven. The beautiful and fragrant paddy fields around me are like the ancient Chinese poetry "In the rice flower, I said that I have a good year and listen to the sound of the frog." Everything here is so beautiful, I really like the environment here, the owner is so warm and attentive, the neighbors are very friendly. I hope to have the opportunity to come again.

The Bahay Kubo Accommodation - a place where you can stay and enjoy the scenery of the beach right in front of your doorstep.
  • Potipot island is only infront of the resort. My friends had a great stay in the resort and the hospitality is superb! Very affordable and easy to navigate. The food in Barjj is sooo delicious. Overall, the best Airbnb in zambales! The location is perfect to unwind and unplug from manila.

    Cj2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place exceeded our expectation! UpJupiter is very responsive and even gave us tips for activities that can be done around the area. Their family and everyone inside the resort are very helpful and accommodating. They were all kind and we didn't have to go to the Potipot because they had boarded the boat. Super worth it is the 7-hour drive from Muntinlupa. We were given a choice in the cottage where we wanted to stay cold and in the cottage where we lived. They are easy to talk to and do not havesle all transactions with them. The delicious porridge from Barjj Floating Restaurant and their mixed seafood. The cheap ones are super super. There are also dogs at the resort so they are pet-friendly. The signal for global data is also strong. The parking space is wide and there is plenty of trees to keep the cars warm. Their beach is also huge. Unfortunately we do have kayak and beach volleyball but we will be back for sure.☺️ If you want to feast on zambales and you want noisy or just serene for chilling and relaxation, here you go.

    Maricris2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was a long drive from Manila and yet, it's worth it! Once we got there, we really didn't have to worry about anything. Everything and everyone made our 3-day stay sooooo comfortable, relaxing and convenient. Their restaurant, Barjj Floating Restaurant ( just a few minutes away from their place) serves the best Salted Egg Shrimp. The place is so well maintained and staff are friendly. Tita Annabelle (her family owns the place)treated us like family. She was such a mom to us all. Shout out to Mang Erning (helps care and maintain the place), you are awesome, sir! Thank you! Can't wait to book a place in your resort soon!

    Lou Antonette2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • It's true-- the food at Barjj resto is very good! Especially the salted buttered shrimp and barjjburger. The resto they own is approximately 500 meters away but they can deliver if you want. My friends and I were amazed of their hospitality because they went above and beyond to make our stay remarkable. 1. The resto opens at 10am but they had our breakfast ready in our unit at 7am because we had to travel back to manila, early. We didn't know they made special arrangements just to make our breakfast until we ordered for take out-- that's when they said they can make more food though typically it has to be at the resto as they also really open at 10am. 2.When we arrived, we found the common bathroom a bit far from the kubos. So we asked if we can merge our 2 kubo reservation to get 1 unit with AC and CR and they gladly agreed with no trouble at all. What an ease to transact with them. 3. They arranged the bangka for us and also, mam Anabelle--the owner was so flexible with our upfront requests (ex. We borrowed 1 extra container for our ulam, we asked for special charge for rice to be cooked on our behalf since we missed to buy our own bigas thinking cooked rice is available in potipot island, we asked for hot water for coffee, and so many more!!). She even had us tour the new building which is the family rooms--good for 12pax, with ac and a very great view! Note, swimming pool is under construction already so it got more exciting to stay in this place again in the future. Also, they're planning to bring the barjj resto within the resort so this is really goin to be great for future visitors esp that currently, there aren't any carenderia at all around the resort (so yes,we had to drive to the market for our lunch and dinner, and hired someone in the potipot island to cook for us). I have so many more good things to say like parking space is wide and very well maintained place, the i said 2 more, but i gotta let you find out what's there on your own, so book it!

    Rhodora Bebz2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • The staff is very accommodating, the place is quiet so you can relax. 5minutes away from Potipot Island. Hopefully there are many eateries near the resort. We ate at Barjj Restaurant which was very good food. I liked the salty egg with the salted egg on the top. He may just be far from commuting. But it's not bad because you're already at the resort.

  • Istana Baylon Resort exceeded my expectations! I am more than happy with the place, people, and hospitality. Everything we needed, they provided and more. I will definitely come back to Zambales and stay here again. Ms Reynalyn and Sir Raffy were super kind and really tried to give us suggestions since it was our first time. They respond right away to any queries. They really made our Zambales trip amazing! I high-recommend them as an airbnb host! Will definitely stay here again.

  • Jupiter's place is situated right by the beach front, and is 5 minutes away by boat to Potipot Island. The rooms are stylish, clean, and very homey. The host was very welcoming, too. We'd definitely stay here again.

  • Hospitality. At. Its. Finest. Sorry but this rating would go as to what we have experienced rather than the bnb itself. But the room is spacious, clean and the bed is comfortable - this goes for the kubos (nipa hut), too. Ate Lyn was such a graceful host - she tended to our every need with a genuine smile. We've met some of the family members of the owner and you guessed it right - they were very, very kind. I would also like to take note that on one to too many occasions (during our stay), they happily drove for us to BARJJ so we can go there comfortably. Wait. Did I already mention that food at BARJJ is sooo good and price is spot on? No? How about that BARJJ is situated on Lake Uacon? YOU MUST NOT MISS BARJJ FLOATING RESTAURANT! On our last day, we found ate Lyn, Jupiter's brother and mom about to leave the place. Just like family, they let us hitch, talked with each other on our way out, bid us goodbye. We left this bnb with full hearts. Jupiter, we promised your mom that we will bring her "pasalubong" from Manila. I don't know when we will be able to come back, but we definitely will - a promise is a promise!

  • Their hospitality is at 100%. They have helped us like we weren’t guests at all. One of the best parts of our stay was when ‘Nanay’, one of the owners of the place, celebrated her birthday and we were offered to join the party. Another was when we were checking out, they offered us a ride back home. Miss Reynalyn also has helped us a lot with communication and navigation to places. Everything went smoothly and as planned. It was a memorable one indeed. Thanks to all who helped!

  • I Would like to thanks Ms. Jessica for her excellent service and very accomodating.. Would definitely stay there again. THANK YOU Guys!!

    Mai2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Place is very relaxing. People related to Ms. Jessica are all accomodating. The two-storey kubo we stayed in is placed in front of the beach, the view is very calming. One night is not enough, you'ld want to stay here for a little longer! All you need are all in here, you dont have to worry bringing your cooking wares, plates, bbq griller and all other stuffs. Just ask them what you need, they'll provide it right away. Giving them 5 star because of these reasons. Legit. Trust me. 💯

    Patrick2019-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • first thing comes to my mind when i saw the location was wow!!! ang layo!!!!! but the photos of the place really amazed me and makes me want to visit the place even if its far, aside from the unique kubo i also noticed fantastic ratings coming from the people who already visited the place. no bad comments at all. when we arrived, the place is still under construction, we are welcomed by the owner sir leo and he was very accommodating, quick and ready to answer all our queries. from the owner to all of the staff they are all very hospitable..whatever we need just one chat or text no hesitations, no question, they will give it right away. that's what you call "service at its finest" the place even if its far is very worth it, secluded where you can relax and enjoy the beach, the sunset, the view together with your family or friends.they also have all the things you need like towels, kitchen utensils, ice, charcoal and of course videoke..surely you will love this place! thank you sir leo and jessica😊see you soonest.

  • Great place and great hosts.

    Janine Ann2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica and Leo’s place is tastefully planned and well executed. The hut we stayed at is stylish and functional. They elevated the architecture of the humble nipa hut. Even the design of the shared bathroom is admirable. I like the fact that they provided kitchen stuff that suits the Filipino style of family outing. This lessens the burden of bringing your own implements thus cooking your own meals — a breeze. And in the remote event that you’ll get tired of cooking your own meal, the restaurant is a welcome respite. Their food is reasonably priced with impeccable quality. My fearless forecast is that this place will be fully booked well in advance considering their price point and quality of facilities.

    Paul2019-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place where you can enjoy the beach hangout with your friends or family without the overcrowding. The place is still under construction. Can't wait to enjoy what they have to offer after they finish their villa and pool. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. You can also request for them to setup a bonfire during the night.

    Dennis2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The property was beyond what we expected! It was a last-minute decision to book but it was defo worth it. I had spent loooong hours searching for pet-friendly beachfront hotels/properties for a weekend retreat and I was so so so glad I found this gem! Best part: beachfront, quiet place, sunset view is amazing, attentive and friendly caretaker, Ate Rhea and most of all pet-friendly! We'll definitely be back very soon!

    Vera Marie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a clean beach, this is the place. Far from SBMA ‘twas like 1 1/2- 2 hrs drive pa going to cabangan but once you get there... it’s worth it! A gem hidden in Zambales and I promise you, you’ll fall in love with the place and an overnight stay is quite “bitin” ... it was so serene far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The villas are like nipa huts so you really get the feeling of living in the olden days but better because it’s fully airconditioned, has it’s own bathroom, wifi and tv. Ate Rhea, the house caretaker is very accomodating, so Filipino- hospitality to the highest level! Hehe she make sure we’re all settled in before leaving us. They have fully functional kitchen complete with all the utensils that you need, rice cooker and freezer are provided as well. If you love barbecuing just like us, they have grill too which you can bring in front of the villa to enjoy the beach view while chatting and eating at the same time with your family. About the beach- It’s rainy season when we’re there, raining in the afternoon but so sunny and sky is clear in the morning. Waves were quite big and a little intense but surprisingly my kids loved it! Hahaha they were 8 and 9 years old, it was like they’re in a giant wave pool with unlimited or non-stop wave haha! The beach has a shallow water, we’re already in the middle but the water is just below our knee level, wave is kinda intimidating though. According to ate Rhea, best to go there is during summer because the waves are calm and you can really swim. But we still enjoyed it and we will come back here for sure! ❤️👍👍👍

  • Avagail, the host was very responsive. And Rhea, the caretaker was very accommodating. We had a great stay, my dog especially. He enjoyed running on the beach! The room is spacious with two queen beds. The ac was cool. There is a dining table outside and a bench where you can chill and enjoy the view. There are also cabanas on the beach itself which are free to use. I actually had a good nap there after we had lunch. Definitely coming back!

  • If you are looking for a serene and quiet place to stay in Zambales, I highly recommend Casa Angelina. This is a perfect place to chill and to appreciate the uncrowded beach. 👍 Not to mention their good service here. They also provide towels and hygiene kit. They serve food upon order. However, you can bring your own and cook food for yourself. They have kitchen and dining area. Plus, their rooms are stylish and instagrammable. 😊 Perfect for selfies. Don't forget to take photos at the beach, too. They got a perfect view of sunset there!

    Mark2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here at Casa Angelina. It was easy to find on the map and the rooms were clean when we checked in. We had the beach all to ourselves! I just wish there were more food choices within the vicinity but thankfully there's a pick-up service and they serve breakfast. Their staff was very accommodating as well!

    Kate2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our room was pristine at our check-in, and the entire place was beautiful and incredibly relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and Alma was very helpful all throughout. The only thing to note is that there aren't a lot of places to hang clothes/towels/wet swimsuits, so I highly advise families or bigger groups of 4 or more to bring hangers for your stay. Other than that, it was a great experience and I will definitely be coming back.

    Mia2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and clean, and ate Alma was the most accommodating caretaker ever. All the hosts were very prompt to answer all my queries which was very helpful with our last minute plans. Met the goodest dog in the premises which we named Jack. Highly recommended if you plan a trip to Zambales with your friends.

    Sofia2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really nice. The staff is accomodating. The room is clean and good for groups. Price is right. We love it!

    Joyce2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Casa Angelina is a good place to relax and have fun with friends/family by the beach. Although the sea wasn't swimmable when we were there (due to the typhoon), and the sand isn't fine, eating and drinking over great conversations while listening to the waves were enough to make it a memorable weekend. The food they serve is delicious also, so it's worth ordering in advance for!

  • The place was beautiful and quiet which is perfect if you just want to escape from the busy city and watch the sunset on the beach. Alma who accomodated us was very hospitable and attented to our requests. The area is easy accessed by car and has a parking in the premises. The closest restaurant was around 5 mins drive so you may consider bringing your own food and cook in their common kitchen.

    Kerby2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Roy’s place is so much better than expected. The beach is so serene and the place itself is so quite. They only have 4 rooms and we reserved the Garden view. While we were waiting for our check in time, we stroll along the beach and found the beach room empty. Requested to be transferred to the empty room and since no one has booked the room, we were able to transfer successfully by adding additional fee since the beach room is a bit higher than the garden ones. Our stay is very comfortable and so homey. Surely a great place away from home. The staff and caretakers are so nice and accommodating. Bug thumbs up! And oh, they even have a cooking area where you can borrow cooking tools. It was a very unforgettable place! Will come back for sure!!! Very much recommended 😊♥️

  • The place is really nice. Spacious rooms and clean bathrooms. They have a dining area in the balcony and also they have kubos where you can eat that are overlooking by the beach. Reallly great location and perfect for small groups/families or even couples to stay in. And the place can be easily search on Waze. You can order food from them, and they have menus of the well-known restaurants in the area which they can have trikes to pick up the food with a minimal fee. Their in-house all day breakfast is really good too so i opted to just order from them instead of buying or eating outside.

    Richard2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely a home away from home, perfect escape from the busy city life. The beach was very clean and relaxing, the sky was so clear you could perfectly see the stars 💕. Would definitely recommend their place if you want a quiet and relaxing retreat.

She also purchased a new refrigerator when we were there even though the one we had worked fine since she worried the one we had may loose its ability to cool after a few days.

The Kubo is perfect for 4 guests and we slept 12 hours because it was sooo comfty. The food they serve was delicious and you will definitely be full (Big servings). Sinampalukang manok was so good. The staffs and the owner were so accommodating and they even upgraded us to a bigger Kubo. There are some pet animals around like the cats and the dogs, I fed them because they are so cute and lovable. We will be back.

    Chevrolet2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Roy's kubo is on the beach with an awesome view of the sea. We stayed at the kubo for the 3rd time, previous times when our daughters were smaller. Now that they're both teenagers, the kubo is still a comfortable place to stay in and even our beloved furbaby enjoyed roaming around the property. This time, the sea was a bit calmer and we really enjoyed pur swimming moments. We even had a wonderful night on the beach, lying on our picnic mat, stargazing. It was a memorable vacation with the beach relieving our work stresses. Thank you, Roy and Joanne, for even giving us a free upgrade to the bigger kubo with aircon, which unfortunately, we were too lazy to transfer to. It was really sweet and thoughtful of you. Cheers!

A peaceful and serene beach resort located in the sleepy coastal town of Cabangan, Zambales. An hour away from Subic Bay. 11 beachfront rooms which can accommodate upto 10pax/room.
Casa Lillibelle Beachfront Rooms has a total of 11 big beachfront rooms that can accommodate 2-10pax/room. You are only booking for 1 beachfront room on airbnb, but you can inquire/rent for multiple rooms (upon availability). We are a hotel type. We don't have rentals such as villas or private house. We have catered to company outings, retreats, reunions and family celebrations. Please do visit and like our F B page Casa Lillibelle Beachfront Rooms.
The West Philippine sea offers blessings to everyone living around the area. The ocean gives the locals their daily livelihood during the months of September to January. Fresh catch throughout the day are yellow fins, flying fish, sword fish and when they get lucky... blue marlins. When it's full moon, they catch squid! On occasions, anglers sport for talakitok and lapu-lapu. Feb-May just before rainy season starts, the locals catch milkfish fingerlings from the shoreline as their livelihood. Sad to say, we would buy our fish at the market since none of the locals around the area would go out to sea. During the intense heat of summer, for some reason fishes tends to swim deeper into the sea where the water temperature is good for them , therefore, making it hard to catch fish. During the Rainy season, the locals do farming. We do not have any islands nearby. But we offer kayaks(rental) wherein our guests would enjoy kayaking from the lake area crossing to the ocean.

Our Farm is totally Off Grid. We grow organic vegetable and animals. We planted 20,000 forest trees that now cover our place like a forest. We can share about our experience of changing our lifestyle for the environment. We like woodworking and Aikido.
  • Sir Larry's place is NOT your usual place to stay in; and that is a wonderful thing! If you would like to truly experience the natural world and really reconnect with creation, that and learn from how you can contribute positively to society and the ecosystem, this farm is definitely the place to stay. You do have to book in advance as they share the very home they live in to visitors, so there may be instances when it will not be available (They do need to rest as well). We learned a lot in our stay here. If you can, try to stay more than a night.

    Gelo2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Father Larry's and Veronica's place was an extraordinary and beautiful experience. They have created their own little piece of Heaven on Earth. It's the perfect place to go when you want to spend a quite and peaceful getaway away from the hectic lifestyle of the city. The view from their house, the surrounding mountains and the raw abundant nature on their entire farm premises in general is absolutely stunning. And on a personal level, it was such a pleasure for me to get to know Father Larry and Veronica and their beautiful family. I learned a lot from them during all of our fruitful conversations. They have an incredible rich knowledge not only in agricultural matters and organic farming but also in the relevant environmental, governmental and cultural issues of our time. It was a very enhancing experience to hear about their valuable ideas and share and exchange views. Father Larry wrote a very inspiring book about climate change. I highly recommend everybody to read it, as it is full of profound and useful knowledge and ideas about this very important current topic which affects us all as a community of humans. I will definitely be back to visit them again and I can only recommend to everybody to come to see and experience the beauty of their place for themselves.

  • Should you find yourself lost in place, I recommend a seat at the table with father Larry and his beautiful family, in their very special home that they have opened up for us to taste. This is a space full of love, wisdom, and a fair bit of magic. Everything is full of life and every meal shared, something to be remembered. Bring your openness to learn and your willingness to share in a place of genuine and humble paradise. Side note: a very good place for little ones to learn about farming...get dirty...and run around💚

  • Father Larry was very hospitable, he cooked us a nice meal and showed us his beautiful farm. We had a very nice stay.

Enjoy our fully air-conditioned and spacious room. The place is within our compound and surrounded by trees! Just minutes away from popular Zambales tourist spots, beaches, hidden coves, islands and mountains!
Clean and safe vacant room with view of the South China Sea. The place is surrounded by trees that is within the compound of a university. The location is in the Municipality of Botolan, which is the center of coastal municipals of the Province of Zambales. You can get here in 1hour 30minutes from Subic, Olongapo and from here you can go to Anawangin beach cove at around 30mins, Crystal Beach and High 5 Lahar in 25 minutes, Potipot island at about 45mins or you may also also enjoy the nearby beach in just 3 minutes trip by a local trike. We can also assist you in arranging trips to the Pinatubo crater. Foods and drinks may also be arranged depending on the its availability and your preferences.
We don't have a lot of neighbor. So it's quite peaceful in here.
  • The place is quiet and cozy. Suitable for busy city stress get-away. Cold and windy that made the ambiance more relaxing..sea water is just 10min walk good for early morning walk. Finally, the whole family is awesome!..🙂

  • Hospitable hosts + value for money. If you are planning to explore Zambales (preferably by car), this is the place for you. 1. HOSTS - Communication with Ketch was a breeze. She's easy to get ahold of via text/call. She also answered ALL my questions in our Airbnb chat. I didn't get to meet her because she's working in the city, but her parents and sister are more than enough for us to feel welcomed. Her mom and sister helped us to look for places to visit. Her dad likes chatting with guests and giving advices. Her parents gave us free mangoes before we checked out. 2. PLACE - The room was spacious for us three. There are two beds and one bathroom. We had one table and two chairs. You can ask Ketch if you can use the refrigerator. You can pay to use their kitchen but we brought our own portable cooking set. There is a store (tindahan) beside their house, this is also the landmark you need to look for once you're in the university. They have dogs and cats so it was enjoyable for my mom and I as we are animal lovers. 3. AMENITIES - Essentials were included in the listing but when I asked Ketch for towels she said that they forgot to update that they are not providing it anymore. She still offered us towels but I did not follow up anymore with her mom. Good thing we brought one towel. There is no heater but the shower is lukewarm enough for me to bathe comfortably (my mom said that the faucet water is warmer though). They have two aircons but one was enough for us. To future guests: Please don't forget to turn off the aircons when you're not staying in the room (this is part of their house rules). Ketch tried to contact me first before turning off the aircon because we forgot to, but I wasn't able to answer her call so her mom went ahead and turn them off. 4. OTHERS - There was 1-2 hours power interruption during our final day. We wouldn't have noticed it as it happened around 3-5 AM but we woke up early because we need to go somewhere. It wasn't that bothersome because the room was still cold even with no aircon. Ketch's dad also offered us hot water in case we needed some. 5. PLACES TO GO - I'd like to share with other travelers what you can do if you plan to stay here. There is a beach near their place which would take a ten-minute walk (or less if you took a tricycle). It was okay, we didn't take a dip though. Here's the rest of our itinerary: DAY 1 - Magalawa Island (40 mins - 1 hour drive. Featured on TV, says that this might be the new Boracay. It was a small island; has white sand, has a sandbar but it isn't that long. I think it would...

  • If your looking for a serene and relaxing place this is the spot for you😊

    Aljo2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was really nice and affordable, and also close to the beach. This is our first time and it's definitely not about the rooms but about the experience with the host. Warning: They're the best to hang out with if you need advices, life experiences, or just a late night conversation. They simply went above and beyond and truly an example of Filipino hospitality. Will definitely come back.

    Nikolai2018-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is perfect for a quick getaway from the city. You can walk from the place to the beach for 5-10 minutes. There are a few stores / small tindahans within 5-10 minutes walk from the location. The room was cozy and spacious. It can fit up to 5 people. The room is big so it might take a while for the room to get cold when the aircon is turned on. The host and her family is so accommodating. We arrived really late and they stayed up for us and even accompanied us to buy midnight snacks. We got to have a nice conversation with the family regarding career and the province life. They were all great. Superb Host! Very accommodating and kind. Thank you!! :)

  • Highly recommended for those who wanted a quick escape from the city.

    Charlotte2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay with friends to escape the noise of the City Life. It's a few minutes away from the beach but the terrace overlooks the beachfront. Perfect for weekend getaways with friends or family. :)

    Nicole2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Just what we needed for the weekend. A quiet, secluded, comfortable place we could come home to after a day at the beach. The rooms are located at the back of the main house. It has a large terrace in front and a cover of trees. The place is great for relaxing in the afternoon when the wind from the sea nearby cools you down. The rooms has two double beds and one single bed and clean linens. The place is clean too. Ms Ado, Sir Bon and Lieffen and his family are wonderful hosts. Making sure we were checked in properly and had everything we needed. Great conversation too. Even went the extra mile to guide us to a nearby public beach for sunset. We will definitely come back.

  • I would like to say thank you to the host, Roy for the wonderful accomodation. We enjoyed our stay. This is the first time that we booked a place without internet connection and TV but may I say it's worth it. We get to relax and my son was able the enjoy the place and the beach. He was staying outside the whole day. The room was clean and everything's working fine. We enjoyed the food as well. We would like to go back there during summer, bec. at the time of our stay the waves are quite strong.

  • Overall our group’s experience at the place was great. Our room was spacious and clean. We were given complimentary grooming necessities. We were also given towels. There was a water dispenser. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was also great. We paid 350 for dinner and it was definitely worth it. The complementary breakfast was also great. Roy even joined us and offered to refill our coffee. He was definitely a good host to us. Will definitely recommend this place!

  • We stayed at Roy & Joanne’s place for 2 nights. It’s the perfect place if you want to getaway from the city’s hustle and bustle. There’s no wifi there and to some, that would be an inconvenience but for us, it is just perfect because it helps to relax and unwind. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable. They provided us blankets and basic toiletries (which we did not expect👍). They also provided basic pots and pans, a griller, and ricr cooker which you can use if you want to cook up your own meals. There’s also a mini ref to keep your drinks cold. We had breakfast at their place (Casa Luzviminda) about 2 houses away from Casa Angelina. Breakfast was divine ❤️. Roy greeted us every morning, he was very nice and accommodating. And then there’s the beach. 😍 i can say our whole trip was just perfect, words wont do justice. You just have to go see for yourself! Will definitely come back maybe in the summer when the weather is nice and sunny. Thank you Roy, Joanne, ate Alma, and everyone who greeted us, served our food, and attended to our needs. 😊

  • Roy and Joanne were gracious hosts. As well as the 2 ladies who took care of us there. Ate Nitz was the other one. They accommodated our requests and were very approachable. It didn’t feel like a commercialized experience but more of like being home with them. It was such a relaxing experience. Our little family had the beach all to us so that’s definitely a plus 👌🏼 Serene and private. We would definitely come back. Oh and their food’s great too, value for money indeed. Great way to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our marriage anniversary too 😘

  • Roy and Joanne's place was great! The loft had enough space for us including our luggages. Beddings were really nice, the place was sparkling clean! My kids enjoyed the place, especially the small kubo right in front of the house. Joanne and Roy were very responsive to our inquiries. Thank you so much!

  • Whole experience was superb! Accommodation, location, customer service were way better than we expected. They provided clean towels, body soap, toothbrush kit, water, and some cleaning essentials for the kitchen. The room was perfect for six (6) people, enough room space for people to move around and store baggage as well. Directions were clear and can be easily searched via waze. Location was perfect — beachfront and not a lot of people yet. We also enjoyed watching the sunset! My friends and I really enjoyed our stay so much we’ll definitely go back and recommend the place to other people. Thanks for the wonderful experience! 😊

    Isabella2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We drove 4hrs to get to Roy’s place and it was worth it. The place was nice and clean, with cozy interiors. If it were not for the not-so-good weather, everything would have been perfect. It was truly a sanctuary by the beach. The food was great! We ordered their set meals for both dinner and breakfast and we were beyond full. I would recommend this place to all who are seeking the perfect place to relax and unwind.
