  • This home is a special place! It has hiking trails that are well maintained to walk and observe all of nature’s beauty and presence. This space has a welcoming sense as you arrive. I love all the prayer flags! The sounds of the river are calming. The cascades of the swimming holes are so soothing to all the senses! The full kitchen and outside deck with grill made this space wonderful for nice meals to share with loved ones. The fire pit made a great space to zone into the earth and the sounds of nature. What a great deck to observe the full harvest moon! If your looking for a place to go inward and enjoy the nature with less distractions, this place has a medicinal place in my heart. I appreciated access to yoga mats, spaces throughout to meditate and breath, and the bathtub and sauna to restore! Rob, the caretaker, made the stay even better with all his kindness and help to ensure our stay was most comfortable. I have no reservations in recommended this sacred space to those who are looking for a special air B and B experience. It is definitely a neat place to even have a retreat for yoga, family, and fur baby friends. Thanks again for this special experience!

  • We had such a fantastic weekend at Wheel of Bliss. We took a group of teenagers there for my son’s 16th birthday, and it was absolutely amazing. There are gorgeous picturesque swimming holes on the property as well as hiking trails. Just a few miles down the road is Max Patch, a short hike with, in my opinion, the best view on the East Coast. Hot Springs is a cute town about 20 minutes away where you can get dinner or arrange a rafting trip. I’d like to give Rob, the property caretaker at Wheel of Bliss, a shout-out because he was so lovely and kind without ever being intrusive. He told us all the best local spots, and showed us where the swimming holes were. (He also brought us the clothes our teenagers left strewn behind them!) One evening he even lit a long path of tiki torches and made a fire for our boys to do spooky s’mores in the woods. A wonderful place run by wonderful people!

  • Wheel of Bliss absolutely exceeded every expectation possible. Everything was outstanding, 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

  • The cabin was a great getaway. We loved the porch. The sounds of the river nearby were relaxing. My dog loved the huge yard.

  • Karlie's and Glenn's Cabin was a very nice get away location, we enjoyed being surrounded by nature. We loved the kitchen that had everything we needed. Our two dogs loved the fenced yard to play around. The two queen sizes bed were super comfortable and the little heaters in our rooms kept the bedroom warm and cozy. We enjoyed going to the Max Patch and had the opportunity to see a lovely sunset from there. Since we got to the cabin there was no wifi network working so that was a little stressful, but Glenn help us with everything( phone numbers, directions) we needed to go exploring so that was very helpful. I would totally recommend staying here, thank you!

    Isabel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This magical little cabin in the woods perfectly fit my requirements for a quick get-away. Secluded, a fireplace, the sound of the creek, separate bedrooms for all of us, and dog-friendly. Bonuses included the firepit outside and surprisingly, no WiFi. There was a storm that moved through before we got there and knocked it out. It turns out that detox was exactly what we all needed. The quiet was amazing. I came home decompressed and ready to face daily life again. Thank you!

  • Great cabin!! My family and I really enjoyed our time there.

    Aileen2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, realy rustic cabin in the middle of the Mountains. We had a relaxing, warm and fantastics days, we found all we need in the kitchen, great view and my old dog was happy walking around despite the cold outside.

  • A great place to get away in the West Carolina Mountains! It was such a relaxing experience and I felt like I was in my own home!

    Andrew2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had our wedding weekend here and it was just perfect. Space for our guests, and a large yard and firepit which was just what we needed. ABSOLUTELY RUSTIC, and exactly what we would expect a mountain cabin to be like, with so many little touches. It had so much character and just was beyond wonderful, and right up the road from Max Patch where we exchanged vows. We'll be back for our anniversaries for years to come! :)

    Gabrielle2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is outstanding! Perfect for the family and friends. The property is fenced in, which is great for your dog. Everything you need is in the cabin, from fire wood to cooking in the kitchen and feeling comfortable inside. Plenty of fun activities to do near by. Too notch place to stay.

Chickadee Cabin offers cozy and convenient lodging that is on the Appalachian Trail and just five to ten minutes walking distance from Hot Springs' restaurants, shops, and mineral tubs. The perfect romantic getaway for couples who want to experience the rustic Appalachian Mountains but still have WiFi and a jetted tub to return back to!
Just a few minutes’ walk or drive to downtown Hot Springs and a one minute walk from the Appalachian Trail’s entry into Hot Springs, Chickadee Cabin offers excellent convenience while still remaining secluded and peaceful on a quiet street tucked into the woods. Wake up to the birds singing out back and enjoy a fresh morning cup of coffee on the covered porch, or meander in to town on the Appalachian Trail for a day exploring Hot Springs’ restaurants, local crafts, rafting and more. The cabin is within a few minutes’ drive of Hot Springs Spa where you can take a dip in a natural-fed hot tub, or stay home for a romantic evening complete with a two-person indoor Whirlpool jetted tub. This is an ideal cabin for a couple wanting a mountain retreat while remaining close to all that Hot Springs has to offer. There are two single beds available in main room if the kids or your friends will be joining! Pets are welcome for a $25 fee, invoiced after booking. We wash all bedding after pets have been in a cabin. Chickadee Cabin is outfitted with a kitchenette. This includes a mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, InstantPot (think a crockpot, hot plate, and pressure cooker all in one), toaster, coffee maker (of course!), a coffee bean grinder, a sink, a set of basic plates, bowls, and utensils, a cutting board, and knives. There is no oven or toaster over or stove in this kitchenette. On the porch there is a Weber charcoal grill for burgers and veggies! There is a television as well as over 100 DVDs to choose from. We do not have cable TV. We pride ourselves on our VERY CLEAN cabin. Just check out our reviews! COVID-19 VIRUS I sanitize all reasonable and possible surfaces with a bleach solution when I clean. I clean the cabin myself 99% of the time so I can guarantee that I am aware of and quite educated about this coronavirus and how to prevent its spread. Though I am taking extra sanitizing precautions, the best way to avoid this and most other viruses is to wash your hands often and avoid touching your face! We provide plenty of soap ;-) Washing with soap and water is more effective than hand sanitizer. Questions? Feel free to ask! LINENS AND SOAPS All linens (towels, washcloths, sheets, dish cloths) are provided. Bath bars and hand soaps are also included. INTERNET We've got WiFi! PETS ***If you are bringing a pet(s), you must let us know in your reservation request! Air BNB provides no other notification option, so please inform us in your note :)*** Chickadee is pet-friendly! Mostly we expect dogs, but cats may be welcome as well. If your pet is not house friendly (chewing, scratching, general chaos and destruction...) we ask that you kindly leave them elsewhere OR bring a kennel for their time in the house. A $25 pet fee covers up to two pets for the entire duration of your stay. This fee is not automatically included by AirBNB in the reservation cost. Thank you for being honest and letting us know about your pet! You will be invoiced separately after your reservation is confirmed. AIR CONDITIONING Yes! We do have air conditioning to keep you cool on hot summer days. HEAT Yes! We have a remote control operated mini-split heating system to keep you warm on even the coldest winter days. Original baseboard heat is present as well for additional warmth if desired. 2 WHEEL DRIVE ACCESSIBLE The cabin is on a well-maintained state road and the approach and parking is flat, so it is accessible by two wheel drive vehicles in all but the most severe of storms! ADJACENT CABIN Chickadee shares a wall with an adjacent cabin (Goldfinch). Each cabin has its own private parking and private entrance. Shared wall is soundproofed for privacy. TWO TO THREE NIGHT (seasonal) minimum stay for reservations including a Friday or Saturday. ONE NIGHT minimum stay offered for Sunday-Thursday nights. Weekend one night weekend stays will be accepted if the day is "stranded" (rented the night before and night after) or if it 4 days or less from your desired check-in date.
Chickadee Cabin is located near town and only steps from the southern entrance to the Appalachian Trail. We would guess that we are 78 steps away, but haven't actually counted :) The AT will cruise you straight on in to Hot Springs, no car required, and you can expect it to take 5-15 minutes depending on your ability level and where you are headed in town. A three minute drive will land you at the famous Hot Springs Spa and Resort, where you can soak in Hot Springs' naturally heated mineral tubs. For a real "day at the spa," check out their massages as well! We are across the street from the Laughing Heart Lodge, which is a beautiful building that is an old Jesuit Retreat Center and is now operated as a predominantly private events center. There are public yoga and dance classes periodically, and guests of Chickadee have an open invite from the owners to enjoy their beautiful garden and grounds! There are other houses on our road, but they are not visible from the cabins, as we are surrounded on three sides by forest.

  • I love this cabin and can’t wait to come back! The views and the garden were so charming. Natalie was an excellent host and the bed was super comfortable. Hot springs is a great little town to explore and the cabin feels secluded while still being able to walk to town.

    Sara2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was in a perfect quiet spot in Hot Springs, so we could get everywhere easily. It was super clean and the hot tub was powerful and a wonderful way to warm up after being outside hiking or walking on the chilly winter days while we were there. We look forward to coming back in spring or summer so we can take advantage of the deck and all the plants around the cabin!

    Rose2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot in hot springs! Highly recommended!

    James2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • From the jacuzzi tub beside the bed to the amazing location, Chickadee was the perfect place for a mini vacation. The only thing I would change is for there to be a little hot plate in the kitchenette.

CLOSED FOR APRIL Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and have implemented a 48hr buffer between bookings. Great for a local staycation, as a work-from-home alternative and with updated DSL wifi. Our hand-built private cabins are open year-round. The cabins are equipped with new mattresses, linens & towels, gas grills, NEW hot tubs, indoor fireplaces, yoga mats and private decks with views of the Mountains.
Our guests recommend us for honeymoons, special occasions, romantic getaways or secluded retreats during vacations and holidays. Cabin 4 is a genuine log cabin. It is the newest cabin on the property and very popular with honeymooners or those wishing to getaway for a private weekend. This cabin has 1 queen bed. The mattress is brand new from Tuft and Needle. The lounge area has a gas fireplace (turned on Sept 15-April 15). There is strong wifi, board games, yoga mats and books as well as ROKU TV but the real gem is waiting outside on the deck. Cabin 4's deck has views of Lover's Leap (a fantastic trail in Hot Springs). The deck offers a bistro table with 2 chairs, a swinging birdcage chair, hot tub, and gas grill. This cabin is ideally suited for 1 couple. If you have more than 2 people I would suggest our family Treehouse cabin #2 which can fit 4 adults comfortably and also has a pull-out sleeper loveseat. * This cabin comes equipped with an oven, microwave, and small fridge. There is also a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, french press, coffee bean grinder and a variety of pots, pans and baking dishes.
Treehouse Cabins is located on a serene country road. You will hear Spring Creek below the cabin and we are a beautiful 20 minute walk to the "downtown" core of Hot Springs. Our cabins are a launching pad for the many outdoor activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains including the Appalachian Trail. If you wish to plan a massage or a mineral spring soak at the Hot Springs Spa, a rafting trip or a fly fishing trip to Spring Creek, visit art galleries, coffee shops, and restaurants, we suggest calling ahead. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 many businesses have been forced to conduct themselves differently to keep everyone safe.
  • Cabin #4 is perfect for a relaxing get away.

    Patricia2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is the perfect location for a romantic getaway or for anyone just looking for peace and tranquility. The cabin is close to hiking trails as well as a few minutes away from Hot Springs which has a couple of restaurants, spas and shops. Not touristy or crowded at all. Unfortunately the hot springs were closed due to recent flooding but the hot tub at the cabin was a wonderful back up! The cabin is rustic but extremely clean also. We would highly recommend to couples!

    Donna2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic weekend getaway! My GF and I came here for a weekend anniversary retreat and we were thoroughly impressed. The views from cabin #4 were breathtaking and the hot tub in the evening under the stars was mesmerizing. I highly recommend the Tree House cabins to anyone looking for a nice mountain stay. Hot springs has a few restaurants/bars/pubs and Asheville is only a short 40 min drive from town. Check out South Slop in Asheville to check out some of the local breweries! We’re already planning our next trip back in the fall.

  • What a fantastic cabin in a great spot. It offers beautiful views, a convenient location and it's sparkling clean. I can't wait to visit again, thank you for a great stay!

    Mackenzie2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie’s place is super clean and cozy! I loved that the shower and bathroom were separate, it really helped with our large group. The cabin is located in a great spot right next to the Appalachian trail and walkable to downtown hot springs. We had a great time in the downtown area! We also walked through downtown all the way to the lovers leap trail, it was beautiful :). The beds were comfy and clean, and the host was there to answer any questions we had right away. It’s also nice that it is dog friendly. The wifi didn’t always have a strong signal, but there were also seven of us staying there. If you do have a big group coming there is no hang out area besides the deck and dining room table that only hold 4 people at a time. But, I had brought a folding memory foam mattress that converts to a couch and we put it in the bedroom with the double and single bed and used it as a living area when we wanted to hang and it was fun! So I recommend bringing some bean bags or something and doing that if you want to spend some time together in the cabin and you have more than 4 people staying. Also, there is only a mini fridge and it doesn’t hold much, luckily it was cold enough outside to keep some stuff in our trunk while we were there. We really enjoyed our stay and loved that it was doggo friendly, so clean and cozy, and close to town! Thanks Natalie!

  • Absolutely amazing place for the hiker! Will definitely stay and I highly recommend this place for the hiker or for anyone for a get away!

  • What a wonderful stay in Hot Springs. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Natalie!

    Annie2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie’s place is wonderful. We stayed during the winter and we needed the baseboard heat and the heat from the extra room. The doors being open helped heat the rest of the cabin. Loved Artisun, the local library, hiking Lover’s Leap and exploring the town. We also headed to Asheville for a little fun as well!

    Jessica2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! In addition to the cabin being pristine and having everything you need for a comfy stay, you are literally a minute walk to a gorgeous section of the AT. Thank you Natalie and family! We hope to be back.

    Connie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place to be able to relax and unwind. Just steps to the AT where you can venture off for a day, or even walk through town and hike on the Lover's Leap Trail. This was just a few days of rest and relaxation for my husband and I, but had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves, fix a meal on the grill, play some board games and watch some movies. We did the Walking Town Tour and enjoyed learning the history of the area and meeting nice folks! You can't go wrong with the Iron Horse Saloon for a great meal either! We will be back when the hot springs are back in order for sure!

  • Beautiful views, awesome common spaces which encourage community. Very much enjoyed hiking, bonfires, cooking, the views, and authentic conversations. What a good break from the stressful corporate world. Recommend!

  • We had a great time unplugging and enjoying the beautiful scenery.

    Steven2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This property was absolutely gorgeous! This was my husband and I’s first glamping experience, as we normally do mainly backpacking when we go to Appalachia. Every detail on this property was well thought out, from heated floors In the bathroom, to candles in the cabins, to helpful hiking instructions. We both must say, we loved this glamping experience and plan to tell our friends about this place and intend to come back ourselves. The best part- it was especially nice to disconnect and be in nature on sacred, beautiful land. The owners were very nice, helpful, and kind to us as well. We appreciate you letting us share your space with us and our pups.

  • This place is worth a visit.

  • This was probably our favorite Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at! Are already making our way back today unexpectedly after only staying there a week ago because we liked it so much.

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. Paint Rock Farms is a little piece of paradise!

    Mattie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The location is beautiful. The cabins and bathhouses were spotless! It was a wonderful place to get away from the busyness of life and enjoy God's creation.

    Emily2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous property! Be aware that the cabins are like screened-in porches. (From the photos, I thought it was glass.) The cabins themselves also have no electricity, though there are lots of outlets in the beautiful barn. Also, there aren't individual firepits or picnic tables at each cabin like we imagined. All that said, it was an incredible stay and we loved it!

  • Gorgeous place!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

    Leona2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The drive up to cabin was definitely off the beaten path located on a gorgeous mountain hillside with incredible views. I would recommend you drive there with AWD or a 4 X 4 vehicle, however we saw a minivan go up and down the gravel road with no problems. The town of Hot Springs, NC is a small town so don’t expect a lot to do there. The town has a general store, post office, gas station, Dollar General, and a bar from what we could see. We mainly used the cabin as a relaxing place to get away from our busy city lives so it was exactly what we wanted. Me and my wife booked the cabin for 2 nights at the end of February and were so glad for the fireplace and hot tub at the place. The weather was cold and chilly, it even snowed while we were there though only a few inches. We were pleasantly surprised the cabin had a few extra blankets, which we curled up in both nights. We mostly spent our time in Asheville, NC walking downtown, shopping at local stores, and having some DELICIOUS BBQ at Buxton Hall, seriously try that place if you visit Asheville! Our main event was to visit Biltmore which we both really enjoyed. FYI Asheville is about an hour and a half from the cabin! The cabin had all the necessities like shampoo, body wash, hand soap, towels, wash clothes, extra toilet paper, and even a few extra k-cups for the Kurieg! The amenities were all above and beyond as well, from a remote control fireplace, warm hot tub, nearly every kitchen utensil you could think of, a blender, toaster, plenty of pots and pans too! All in all we have no bad things to say about this place, the cleanliness, decoration, and the experience we had there was fantastic, we will definitely keep this property in mind for future plans!

    Christian2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was just as described. Very cost and welcoming.

    Shawna2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The space was immaculately clean and such a peaceful spot. The views from the property are breathtaking! My only issue was the hot tub was drained and cleaned before I arrived (which I greatly appreciated) but was not hot enough to enjoy until the next morning. It was supposed to be at 104 degrees and at 11 pm that evening it had only just reached 100 degrees. The owners gave me a portion of my money back since I did not get two full nights of using the hot tub and said that they are getting a new hot tub next month. I just wish that would have been communicated ahead of time because I almost only stayed one night and would have been very disappointed to not be able to use the tub.

    Becca2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place was close to downtown and close to other cabins but still felt secluded and quiet. It was a great early Valentine’s Day gift for my wife. It was clean, and there was no clutter. The hot tub was already running and warm when we got there. A perfect, peaceful getaway.

Imagine sleeping to the babbling waters of the French Broad River, flowing by only steps away. You will stay on a private and spacious campsite right on the banks of the river nestled amongst the trees. Relaxation at its finest.
Sweet sweet camping! Right on the banks of the French Broad River. It's called Sweet Spot for a reason. It’s a level and spacious spot with morning and evening shade and afternoon sun to enjoy your day. The sound of the river is ever present and delightful to hear. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the river! Can't you just hear the water calling you?
This is a private 39 acre farm with 360° mountain views right on the banks of the French Broad River. We are two miles from the quaint town of Hot Springs, home of the natural mineral spa. The neighbors on one side are a dairy farm and on the other is an abandoned Limestone mine.
  • This was a WONDERFUL camping experience!! When we arrived, the whole site was set up for us- tent with cots, chairs around the fire pit, a camp sink and stove, picnic table and work table, plus a tub with every cooking implement to make a campfire dinner :) All we had to do was show up with our cooler and sleeping bags! The property is so beautiful- right next to the French Broad River, with a pretty farm next door. There is also an artesian spring on the propriety. The kids and I had a great time exploring and fishing! Lisa and Paul are great hosts! My car battery died and they even gave us a jump. Highly recommend!!

    Stephanie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful property with more space & privacy than most campgrounds (not a bad camping spot anywhere). We had a nice big fire ring and the sound of the river was so relaxing. Lisa and Paul were gracious, friendly hosts. We'll definitely return!

    Erin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful place to stay. You have the river right outside your tent, you’re very secluded, and plenty of space to roam. There are great hiking spots nearby and you feel very welcomed as soon as you arrive.

    Matthew2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! The campsite is beautiful, the tent was great, and the hosts were lovely. It was so nice not to have to deal with setting up/breaking down camp but still have a great camping experience. Had a lovely stay.

    Kate2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is great place! We really enjoyed our time at #9 "The Sweet Spot" and it was an added bonus that everything was there and set up. The camp sites are private and peaceful. The best part was the access to the river right off the campsite we really enjoyed being able to float in the river whenever we wanted. I do recommend bringing tubes & water shoes. This is truly a gem with all the different spots on the property from the river, the cold spring , the stars at night, the train and the old limestone mine. If you are feeling so inclined Hot Springs is a great little town with a coffee shop/ice cream shop, bars/restaurants just a few minutes away. I would also suggest checking out Laurel River trail, an easy walking trail to a local spot to hang out in the water. We look forward to coming back next year.

    Julia2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is camping as it should be - quiet, peaceful, relaxing. At Laughing Waters, one can truly unplug and be present in the beautiful setting of the mountains and the French Broad River flowing right by your campsite. Star gazing is amazing due to no light pollution. The fireflies put on quite a show whlle we were there over Memorial Day weekend. Camp sites are spaced far apart, so you have privacy and breathing room. The hosts were very gracious and helpful - they have ample camping supplies and can provide anything you may need. I am thankful they are willing to share such a beautiful place with others who want to experience nature in such a pastoral setting. Will definitely go back!

    Sam2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • I wasn’t personally able to experience this space. Lisa was very accommodating to the change of plans. My brother said wonderful things about the campsite and Hot Springs.

    Arminda2019-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • The sweet spot was exactly as described. We thoroughly enjoyed camping here! Very private but hosts provide everything you need. Look forward to staying here again on our next time in NC!

  • This is a great cabin with awesome views, as well as being convenient to restaurants and the Hot Springs mineral Spa. Cabin had everything we needed and it was one of the most relaxing weekends we enjoyed in some time. I would highly recommend River Magic.

    Porter2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better cabin weekend in Hot Springs! The cabin was incredibly clean, comfortable, and had a gorgeous view of the French Broad river. We spent most of our time relaxing, playing cards, reading, and cooking in the kitchen. The hot tub provided a relaxing way to end each day. We could not recommend more highly and hope to book another trip soon!

    Will2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Such a sweet ‘magical’ spot! River views from the hot tube, and the wood finishes of the cabin were so nicely crafted. We will be back!

    Zachery2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • River Magic is a truly special space! As fellow Airbnb superhosts ourselves, we recognize when another host has thought of everything for their property, and this home is certainly top notch in every way! Clean with a view unsurpassed, great bedding, tasteful and comfortable furnishings, this space is highly recommended.

    Joy & Len2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • This house was beyond our expectations! The view was breathtaking and very quiet! It was fully stocked with your basic necessities and even offered a little more than we had expected. My husband and I caught the first snow of the season and never really left the cabin but for food. I definitely recommend this place and we can’t wait to come back!

    Katherine2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • The view is spectacular from the back porch and the photos just don’t give it justice. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing quiet getaway. If you bring groceries then there’s no reason to leave at all. However, Hot Springs is great to get out and explore as well!

    Matthew2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about our 4 night stay in this home. The view is amazing and addictively serene. I especially enjoyed the peaceful sounds - gurgling river, birds, cicadas, and an occasional romantic train in the distance. The home and furnishings are beautiful, and the appliances, kitchen gadgets and soaps were all top quality. We intended to venture out by car on day trips but couldn’t bring ourselves to leave. It’s easy to walk into the cute town and to beautiful hiking trails. We could tell from reading the guestbook that many visitors came back for more, and I’m not surprised. We give this home our highest recommendation.

We are a nonprofit animal rescue located on a mountain just 17 minutes from downtown Hot Springs. We have plenty of room and would love to share our beautiful farm views.
We offer one bedroom with a queen sized bed and a nice mat for a child on the floor. It has black out curtains and there is a white noise machine to give you privacy and help you sleep. There is a shared bathroom next door complete with a tub/shower. The main room is shared space (mostly with furry friends, we do have indoor cats!) and it has a flat screen with Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, and a DVD player. The kitchen also has all kinds of amenities including coffee for the morning.
Very private, house on a knoll, no close neighbors. Steep and long gravel driveway.
  • This place is awesome! It's situated right in the hill and the animals are very well-behaved and friendly. A must-go for animal lovers!

    Kartik2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Love the views! The animals are all well behaved and cuddly. A rich, beautiful experience. Not your ordinary AirBnB. I booked again before I left!

    Jeanne2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay if you're wanting a farm stay with great hosts, friendly animals, and peaceful scenery. My girlfriend and I stayed here over the weekend and were able to relax and enjoy the company of all the animals! Would definitely recommend if you're wanting to spend time relaxing in addition to travelling to/from Asheville as the drive makes it worth it.

The Pine Cabin has a loft with a queen bed/1 bath, 1 futon, full kitchen, wifi, TV with Roku (no satellite), towels/linens, dog friendly, less than 1 mile from Hot Springs.
Established in 1992, Broadwing Farm is home to three generations of the Dixon family, located one mile from downtown Hot Springs, NC on a plateau above the French Broad River in beautiful Western North Carolina. Broadwing Farm Pine Cabin is situated on our 85 acre organic farm with the Pisgah National Forest out the back door and one of the most breathtaking views of the French Broad River Valley out the front door. We invite you to come stay and feel welcome to look around the farm and gardens. You may see us mowing a field, harvesting the beans and corn, or fishing in the pond. We make every effort to make our guests feel at home while we live the life we have chosen here on Broadwing Farm. We are fortunate to be able to offer our Pine Cabin guests a private outdoor hot tub filled only with fresh, hot mineral water for relaxing under the starry sky. The Pine Cabin is a cozy, homemade gem perfect for a couple or small family, with a spiral staircase to a loft bedroom and best of all - a private hot tub filled with only fresh mineral water for each guest stay. No chemicals, ever. There is a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, ac, gas fireplace, WiFi, land line w/free long distance, and propane grill. Towels and linens are provided. There is also a deck on the front for relaxing with family or friends and watching sunsets. During the growing season, our farm focus is mainly on our large gardens full of a wide variety of vegetables and cooking herbs, a young orchard for fruit and small flock of chickens for eggs. In season, we happily share our harvest with our guests. During the spring and early summer, we sell vegetable, herb and flower garden starts from our greenhouse. Hot Springs is a dream of outdoor adventures. The hiking in the Hot Springs area is some of the best in the Southeast with a wide range of challenge, from easy to strenuous. Even if you'd prefer a leisurely stroll down the main street in Hot Springs, you'll be walking on the Appalachian Trail! The French Broad River offers fantastic class II and III whitewater along with wonderful fishing, and breathtaking scenery. Hot Springs also provides a good selection of privately owned and operated restaurants and stores to keep you entertained during your stay. If you'd like a trip into the "big city", Hot Springs is just an hour from Asheville, NC where you can enjoy an eclectic variety of restaurants, museums, tailgate markets, microbreweries, shops and of course the famous Biltmore Estate. We have had the pleasure of sharing our farm with guests for the last 15 years. Our guests visit from all over the world and we are lucky to have such a beautiful spot for sharing. We hope you have an opportunity to visit soon!
We live in a quiet neighborhood in a town of less than 700 full time residents
  • The Pine cabin was quaint and perfect for a weekend getaway with the dogs. This cabin is perfect for relaxation. Mary and Pete were wonderful hosts. When I couldn’t figure out how to work the hot tub, Pete came and fixed it for us at 930 pm. Chip and Penny came to visit us a few times and they were a joy.

    Grace2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect. I came here to spend a few days with myself, regrouping for the new year and new decade. The house was cozy & comfortable, the mineral tub was amazing, and the natural surroundings were just what I needed. I'm thinking that coming here each January for a few days will be a new ritual. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    Rebecca2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Mary and Pete’s cabin! It was so cute and functional, and the view of the pond and mountains from the front porch was amazing. We also enjoyed the great hot tub with mineral water. There was the sweetest little duck on the property and we looked forward to his daily visits. Mary and Pete were quick to respond and easy to communicate with. They also included local tips (where to hike, eat, shop, etc) which was very much appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed (and much more) to prepare meals. We will definitely be back, maybe even to check out one of the other two cabins on the property.

    Patrick2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was adorable- all details were perfect and so thoughtfully prepared. The hot tub and enclosed deck for the dogs were an added bonus! The scenery and farm are beautiful- we have nothing but great things to say about this property and will definitely stay again!

  • The cabin was even better than what we expected! The view was awesome, hot springs is just down the road, hot tub was fabulous and of course we loved the dogs on the farm, they were our tour guide through the trail! Mary and Pete were also very kind and wonderful! Can’t wait to visit again!

    Nicole2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Be advised, cell service is spotty in the town so bring a map for directions. Very close to Asheville. The hot tub was relaxing, we would stay here again!

    Katherine2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect choice I made for my little private birthday retreat. The weather was perfect and the tub was utterly rejuvenating. The cabin had everything we needed, a comfortable bed with very nice bedding plus a comfortable futon bed for my friend to stay… & was perfectly set on a gorgeous & well tended farm with blueberries, apples & more. Pete & Mary were great hosts! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a private retreat in a safe, clean & well taken care of cabin.

  • We stayed at Cascade Creek Cottage through Christmas, and it couldn't have been more perfect for the occasion. Nestled on the side of a mountain, directly next to a babbling creek that flows into the French Broad River, the house boasts a peaceful setting beyond vacation dreams. The large, screened porch overlooks the mountain and the creek, and so does the hot tub below, which provides for the ultimate relaxation! We will definitely return.

  • Loved our weekend here! Would recommend to all!

    Landon2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful, peaceful setting very close to the town of Hot Springs yet private and secluded enough that you won’t see people unless you want to. The back porch with the creek just below was very relaxing for morning coffee or an afternoon with a book. The hot tub was fantastic and it was a short walk to some excellent hiking! We would recommend it to anyone looking for the best of both worlds for a getaway.

  • Great location! Cozy cabin! Great patio and view of all the greenery! Loved the sound of the little stream! Everything we needed and wanted! Melanie was very sweet!

  • Love this place and the host was amazing

    Melissa2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • It took us a little bit to get over the fact that the hot tub was not available because the owners were coming to replace it after we left. That was one of the primary filters for our search through many mountain locales surrounding Asheville, and definitely one of the reasons why we chose Cascade Creek. After 4 Days in Asheville we were looking for a place to really decompress and unwind. However, Melanie allowed us an early check-in, which compensated and allowed us to get our paralyzed dog settled in. Our younger dog had the time of his life running in the yard and swimming in the Creek! The fire pit helped us relax, and the cardinal about which I’ve read so much did not disappoint:) The king size bed and the living room were so comfortable, not to mention the fantastic outside porch, that this home is exactly what the doctor ordered! We miss it already!

    Gail2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was fine place to enjoy a getaway and escape the road. The creek ran past the hot tub giving a constant relaxing water sound. It’s smaller tub for two to three. Nice and hot.... we got into the creek for cold plunges. We enjoyed a fire in they’re pit. The Ingles sells wood. I recommend taking the drive up to Max’s Patch for the epic view at sun set. It’s about 40 minutes away.

  • Close to town and to hiking but is a beautifully private and peaceful retreat. Had all the amenities of home. We especially enjoyed the view from the hot tub.

Perched up high in the bank of trout-stocked Spring Creek, directly on Fowler's Bend (an almost 90 degree bend in the creek) sits this fully-restored home built in 1900. This one bedroom and bathroom is RUSTIC and SIMPLE with one dedicated PARKING spot. Exposed BRICK walls greet you in both the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom is shower only, but the water is hot. This is a great place for anyone looking for a base for an outdoor adventure or anyone looking to RECONNECT with NATURE.
Originally used as the local General Store, this property is now 3 units. The HIDE AWAY is a sweet little corner, second level unit in the back, but with direct access to the road. Sit on your porch to hear the RUSHING WATERS of a 20-30 foot wide creek and soak in the crisp mountain air. Across the road and up a steep bank sits almost 7,500 acres of Pisgah NATIONAL FOREST. The Appalachian Trail is 200 feet as the crow flies, but best navigated by the paved roads. What I love best about this little nook is the proximity to town, mineral springs, the Appalachian Trail, rafting and more! The sounds of the creek heard from the front porch help create a white noise for the soundtrack of your stay. Nature helps soothe any kinks you may have packed in with you, so that when you leave, you can feel more vibrant and centered within yourself. Let these old mountains and this incredible creek cradle you and lull you back into a relaxing state, or help get you refocus your energy for an existing or future project. For those who love to hike or walk (or who want to avoid trying to find parking in the small town of Hot Springs) in 10 minutes you can be at the Appalachian Trailhead or in the Town of Hot Springs to dine or shop, tube, etc. and in approx. 15-20 minute you can be soaking in your own reserved tub at the hot mineral springs (or about a 2-3 minute drive). Enjoy the pitch black nights, filled with incredible stars. Whether coming for a peaceful retreat, the restorative mineral springs or for an outdoor adventure extravaganza, the HIDE AWAY at Fowler's Bend serves as a solid base for all your endeavors. Come Retreat Within!
The neighborhood is filled with great neighbors, an intriguing history, an abundance of water and backs up to 7,500 acres of Pisgah National Forest yet is walking distance to the town of Hot Springs.

  • We had a great stay at Monisha's property which was the perfect place for our little Christmas celebration. The place is small but has everything you need and is nicely decorated. Ideal location walking distance from the center of Hot Springs and next to a small river. Sitting on the terrace listening to the sound of water is so relaxing after a long day of hiking. Monisha's advices about dining/activities in the area are spot on, highly recommended!

  • Very nice place and convenient. We loved the place! Super cute and homey. Loved the little touches like the lights on the porch. Really enjoyed the sounds of the river.

One of three cabins on Broadwing Farm, The Poplar Cabin is bright & warm with a private outdoor hot tub, filled with fresh mineral water. The cabin backs up to the Pisgah National Forest for listening to the sounds of the forest while you soak. In the summer, we invite guests to come pick fresh vegetables from the garden. The Poplar has 1 queen bedroom/1 bath, 2 futons, full kitchen, patio, deck, propane fireplace/AC, wifi, TV with Roku, towels/linens, dog friendly, < 1 mile from Hot Springs.
Established in 1992, Broadwing Farm is home to three generations of the Dixon family, located one mile from downtown Hot Springs, NC on a plateau above the French Broad River in beautiful Western North Carolina. Broadwing Farm Poplar Cabin is situated on our 85 acre organic farm with the Pisgah National Forest out the back door and one of the most breathtaking views of the French Broad River Valley out the front door. We invite you to come stay and feel welcome to look around the farm and gardens. You may see us mowing a field, harvesting the beans and corn, or fishing in the pond. We make every effort to make our guests feel at home while we live the life we have chosen here on Broadwing Farm. We are fortunate to be able to offer our Poplar Cabin guests a private outdoor hot tub filled only with fresh, hot mineral water for relaxing under the starry sky. The Poplar Cabin has a loft divided into a private bedroom with queen size bed and a TV room with DVD and Satellite. There are two additional double futons, one in the TV room & the other in the downstairs living area for total sleeping of six. The high ceiling and natural light together with the poplar paneling and pine floor give an airy, warm atmosphere. There is a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, ac, gas fireplace, WiFi, land line w/free long distance, Satellite TV, and propane grill. Towels and linens are provided. There is also a spacious deck on the front for relaxing with family or friends and watching sunsets.
Hot Springs is a town of about 550 year round residents. Broadwing Farm is less than 1 mile from downtown Hot Springs. You have the best of both worlds, 85 acres of fields and forest and just a short 1 mile drive to pick up a few groceries or enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.
  • Great place, location, and hosts! Hope to stay here again!

    Brian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mary & Pete host several cabins on a beautiful farm near the French Broad river. Poplar cabin hosts beautiful views of the farm and mountains in the distance, and has the cozy aura of a home-away-from-home, only with a hot tub full of fresh mineral spring water at your disposal as an added bonus. We were never in need of anything during our stay and felt well set-up with a fully stocked bathroom & kitchen (bring your own groceries!). I highly recommend checking out Paint Rock down the road from their farm, by the NC/ TN border. See if you can spot NC's oldest know (5,000 years old!) pictograph and then hike up Paint Mtn Trail nearby for knock-out views of the French River slicing through the mountain rock. After the hike, relax by the fire or in your own personal hot spring.

  • A beautiful space to unwind, unplug and recharge! Everything you could possibly need is there for you. We cooked some of the best food we have had in a long time. And we could bring our fur baby! The mineral tub was amazing!!!! <3

  • We had such an amazing time ! The pictures truly don’t do this charming loft cabin justice. First off, the place was sparkly clean and thoughtfully stocked with cleaning supplies, tea, coffee, towels, blankets, even hangers. The view was absolutely breathtaking and a treat to take in for our entire stay. We also truly appreciated the homey touches such as the: decorative lights, board games and a ready to use hot tub. Lastly, Mary and Pete we’re kind enough meet us and to let us pick from their garden which really was the cherry on top. Thank you again for such an amazing time. We definitely plan to come again 😊.

    Karen2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is great! The views from the back deck are unmatched. If you’re looking for a place in the area don’t hesitate to book one of the cabins here.

  • This was the perfect place for a relaxing family vacation. We didn’t use the car for four days. Our young daughter took her balance bike and the gentle grassy hills on the farm we’re the perfect place for her to experiment with gravity. We also loved being able to access the national forest right behind our cabin. I highly recommend this place for your next trip!

    Nyana2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. The mineral spring hot tub was ready to go when we got there and was lit for use at night. The notebook with local restaurants and hikes was very helpful. A short drive from the center of Hotsprings. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

  • I stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. We were able to bring our puppy with us and he also enjoyed getting to run around the farm! The property is beautiful and several trails to explore. The drive in to the town of hot springs is also very easy and under 10 min. The bathrooms are very nice and clean. The cabins are very cozy and decorated well. The candle lanterns provide a nice ambiance for reading and drinking wine at night time! I should mention that the large window and door to the balcony over looking the river is only a screen. Which we were fine with but did not realize it going in. It also rained while we were there and some of our stuff for wet. I did make a suggestion for a waterproof covering of some sort to be available in case of rain. Overall we really enjoyed this cozy and beautiful spot!

    Lyndi2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • You will definitely enjoy your stay! The view was amazing, the lake, the mountains, and the colorful trees. I found my stay here replenishing. I was able to recoup and just be free; having access to the entire farm. It was my first time Glamping - and the amenities were right on time- the calming host, the heated bathhouse, the the picturesque large community barn, sounds of the lake rushing by below, and the fire pit were positively refreshing. Dare I mention the quietness.

  • This was such an amazing air bnb experience. So unique from anything I had done before. This farm offers such amazing views and is just an all-around gorgeous spot to spend an evening. We visited in mid-November, so the temperature were quite cold, but plenty of extra thick blankets were provided and the heated bath house was extremely nice. If you plan on booking in colder months, definitely come prepared with plenty of layers. We were able to build a fire at night that helped a ton too. The kitchen space was nice to have access to as well to make some warm coffee in the morning. By far the best part was waking up to the beautiful sunrise view out our cabin and hearing the river right there. Such a great way to get away.

    Natalie2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful space for some quiet and relaxation. It has just the right mix of at-home amenities (showers!) and rustic charm.

  • The tiny house cabin was very clean and cute. The bathhouse was also very nice and very clean. We did the recommended hike to the point where we could see the Tennessee mountains. We didn’t go any further as the trail wasn’t marked. Loved waking up to the sounds of the river and birds!

  • The cabin was beautiful, well-stocked, clean and spacious. Pretty perfect! Everything we needed was there and the hot tub and plush robes were great touches. We enjoyed cooking and playing games by the fireplace. I want to return when it’s summer so we can take advantage of the screened in porch, fire pit in the backyard, and the riverside chairs. Great proximity to Hot Springs and hiking trails. I want to go back!

  • Wow, this was everything we could've wanted for our trip into the Mountains. The location is peaceful and serene, the hot tub is amazing after a long hike, the fire pit is wonderful to watch the stars, the the river across from the house is wonderful to start the day with a book next to. The house was as clean as can be, the beds were comfortable and spacious, I'm 6'5 and slept like a baby. Include all the amenities you need, though, bring Shampoo, we forgot ours and needed to go out and buy some which wasn't that big of a deal but just a heads up.

    Greg2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful and clean. Hot tub was amazing and the chairs near the water were the best! Quiet and relaxing!

    Trisha2019-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend Moon Dance enough! The location is perfect - you have a beautiful river in front of you, a spacious yard with fire pit and hammock behind you, and mountains all around! I enjoyed tea each morning on the screened front porch, we cooked all of our meals in the gourmet kitchen or on the grill on the back deck, and we spent evenings in the hot tub out back. We lit more fires in the fireplace than I can count (it was our favorite part!), and relaxed with the board games or fishing on the river. We didn't venture out into Hot Springs, although I've heard that's amazing. We wanted a weekend together and alone, and that is exactly what we got. The king bed in the master is incredibly comfortable, but I recommend bringing your own pillows (or maybe I'm just very picky about pillows). There were plenty of towels for showers and drying off from the hot tub, and the Turkish robes were my other favorite part! I lounged in mine 80% of the time. I cannot wait to return to Moon Dance!

Cozy, eco-friendly cabin just steps from the riverfront. Drink your morning coffee on the front porch listening to sounds of rushing water. Spend your days exploring, tubing, fishing and hiking among the 5 acres of pristine mountain property or at the half dozen nearby adventure centers. Grill your dinner on the back porch, talk and have drinks by the fire pit. S’mores, rock skipping, books, board games. You’ll be enchanted the moment you open our gate and drive through the lush forest.
If you seek simplicity, a connection to nature and family, a place to laugh loudly and run freely, then come on over. Please note, the cabin is not luxurious. There is no internet connection or a water tap. Water is provided in bottles, large jugs and through rain barrels. Shower is camping style. There is a small television that plays DVDs. A limited selection of movies, board games and books are on site.
We are located in Madison County, the Gem of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The drive is picturesque. We are situated just 15 minutes from Raft USA, French Broad Outpost, Blue Heron Whitewater, Nantahala Outdoor Center & charming downtown Marshall. We are just 20 minutes from Hot Springs Resort and Spa.
  • Perfect little cabin!

  • Great place to stay. Definitely gets cold during fall/winter, so come prepared with extra space heater and/or plenty of wood

    Philip2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great house! Bring firewood for sure

    Dana2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's place was exactly as described! I appreciated her transparency in the listing and throughout our communication. The biggest note I saw in the reviews was the drive so I'd like to touch on that. I drive a 2014 Kia Soul and had 0 issues getting there. The drive to the cabin is gravel and is best navigated during daylight hours. However, it was a part of the adventure for us and we made it just fine at night with downloaded pictures of the directions and a positive attitude. This is the best getaway for people wanting to go off grid and enjoy nature. We rafted at NOC on the French Broad (a 15 min drive) with the best raft guide, Perry and had the time of our lives. We also visited Farmony animal rescue (10 mins from NOC) that was an unforgettable experience getting to interact with all different kinds of animals! The drive to Hot Springs and Asheville isn't bad at all either! Last thing, make sure to stop at the Laurel River Store and get a coffee (their Chai Tea Latte is great!). We are still reminiscing and planning our next getaway here!

  • The place was very peaceful and relaxing even with the road so close by. While we didnt have any luck trout fishing in the stream, we still enjoyed trying and the sound of it at night. The place was equipped with all the things you would need for a weekend including condiments and eggs in the fridge, shampoo and toiletries, which was a pleasant surprise. This place is priced at an amazing deal for what all is included and its location. I would definitely like to stay here again sometime.

  • Very clean, private cabin. Most relaxing trip we had all year!. Will be booking again soon

Left . . . right . . . front & center . . . water, water, everywhere! Settled up high in the bank of Spring Creek sits this top level unit, affectionately called Birds Nest. Water views galore with trout-stocked Spring Creek and an almost 90 degree curve, called Fowler's Bend. Be prepared for INCREDIBLE VIEWS of the RUSHING WATERS of a 20-30 foot wide creek, with distant views of the only WATERFALL in town. Out the front door, ~7,500 acres of Pisgah NATIONAL FOREST sits just across the road.
If you are looking for water it is abound here. The views and sounds of the water are unparalleled, and will leave you feeling washed from whatever stressors your life at home may present you with. This 2 bedroom (king beds) / 2 bathroom unit has two designated parking spots, a fully equipped kitchen to share meals together, or to just make coffee if you want to sample the local flavor instead. There is a gas FIREPLACE in the living room and a VINTAGE TUB is in one of the bathrooms. The TWO WINDOW SEATS and DECK allow you to rest or come together with loved ones to overlook the creek and long range views of the only in town WATERFALL. There is a futon sofa that converts into a bed in the second living room for additional guests. Keep an eye out for the Blue Heron, the old iron pilings from the former connecting bridge, and after a good rain, keep an eye out for kayakers. It is amazing to seem them round that almost 90 degree curve! What I love best about this top floor space is the sounds of the roaring creek, the incredible views and the two window seats with some of the most breath-taking views, yet all walking distance to many attractions and activities. The sights and sounds help soothe any kinks you may have packed in with you, so that when you leave, you can feel more vibrant and centered within yourself. Let these old mountains and this incredible creek cradle you and lull you back into a relaxing state, or help get you focused on that project or book you have been trying to start or finish. Enjoy the pitch black nights, filled with incredible stars, and Spring Creek lulling you into a sweet slumber! Whether coming for a peaceful retreat, the restorative mineral springs or for an outdoor adventure extravaganza, Birds Nest at Fowler's Bend is an excellent choice to support and augment your endeavors. Come Retreat Within!
An intriguing history, abundance of water and 7,500 acres of Pisgah National Forest are just steps outside your door, while town is just under a 10 minute walk.
  • Beautiful place. The views of the water are spectacular! The beds were so comfortable. Great get away.

    Debbie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The energy and views from the space are truly magical! Awakening early in the morning and opening the master bedroom door to see the beautiful waterfall took my breath away. The sound of the water lulling you to sleep each night, we saw otter and heron; it was truly an amazing, calming, nature experience. From within the comfort Cliffside views.

    Jackie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a weekend get away and we got exactly what we wanted! Birds Nest was a perfect retreat with an amazing view. The sound of rushing water can be heard throughout the apartment and was so calming. We felt secluded enough to relax but able to go to town in just 10 minutes. You can walk on the Appalachian trail on your way to the Tavern for a beer! Monisha’s guide book was so helpful and we referred to it throughout the weekend. We loved the town of hot springs and our stay at Birds nest. We definitely want to go back and would love to stay here again!! The only thing I would say is parking is a little tricky as the parking pads are very close the road but we were able to park my Nissan with just a bit of maneuvering! Overall, this was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

    Sara2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures of this place are beautiful but they don’t even do it justice! What a gorgeous little hot springs retreat. My group and I were very happy with how close we were to downtown but how secluded we still felt at the apartment. The views are unbeatable, it was very clean, and cozy enough to feel like home as soon we walked in. We hope to be back!

    Miranda2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place seems out of a story, with the sound of the river inside your room and the environment hugging that cabin! Monisha very attentive and accomplished in everything we agreed. A pleasure to have spent the holidays there !!! We hope to return soon.

    German2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! We only had one evening in Hot Springs but Birds Nest was such a spectacular place to stay! The views were outstanding! Ask, Iron Horse Station has fabulous food and we even enjoyed their live music!

    Sara2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Monisha is always a great host!

    Jason2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Monisha was an incredible host! During the booking phase and through our stay she was quick in her responses and above and beyond. Our “cabin” was so quaint and the views beautiful. It was a very peaceful stay. There were a couple minor issues and she was personally on it - just incredible. Book!

The cabin is minutes to the Hot Springs Resort, the center of town, the Appalachian trial, route 209 "the Rattler" (motorcycle road), French broad river, Max Patch, Laurel Creek, Lovers Leap and various rafting/tubing/zip-lining adventures. It's is nestled away on the edge of town (walking distance into the heart of hot springs) but also private enough to feel secluded in the mountains. Its great for retreats w/ front and rear yards, a firepit, a hottub, a grill and a stargazing deck.
Most people notice the 25 foot tall living room when they first enter the house complete w/ large, super comfy couch, an open island kitchen, quick-on-off fireplace, large rustic logs hanging over your head and a custom-made log staircase going upstairs to the master bedroom. There are 3 bedrooms: Master bedroom (custom made king log bed) with private bathroom and whirlpool bath 2nd Bedroom (rustic queen bed with matching vanity set) 3rd Bedroom (2 bunk bed sleeping 4 individuals) Outside: Large uncovered stargazing deck and open space for daytime activites overlooking huge front yard Smaller covered deck with rocking chairs Hot tub deck in rear (covered) Top of the line broil king grill Backyard with brick-built firepit and surrounded by suspended string light for nighttime activities and games.

There are tons of activities like hiking, motorcycling, rock climbing, rafting, zip-lining and soaking in the hot springs. The air is clean, the people are kind and the mountains are majestic. People from all over the world come through here and discover the secret of Hot Springs, NC.
  • Excellent location in Hot Springs! Perfect hub for hiking the AT with great amenities! Hot tub and the sauna were the icing on the cake!

  • We had an amazing stay at Roman’s! Needing a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, we explored some secluded options that were dog friendly and came across this property. It was amazing in every aspect! The property itself is tucked back away from the main road and hidden from view. Behind the house is thousands of acres of National Forest that you can explore. We brought our two German Shepard’s and they had the time of their lives! The property was perfect to allow them to run around off leash and explore the Forest! The house was beautiful and It was obvious Roman took the extra effort to make his guests comfortable. It has some smart house features i.e. controlling the lighting and TV with voice command via Alexa. He also has notecards around the house with instructions and helpful hints! The town of Hot Springs is very small and has limited options for shopping. Make sure to purchase any grocery items prior to entering town. We went to a grocery called Ingles which was about 30 minutes from Hot Springs. You can buy everything else in Hot Springs I.e. fire wood, beer, snacks, first aid, hardware etc... Make sure to check out Lover’s Leap Hiking trail which is part of the Appalachian Trail!

  • Awesome place, awesome amenities, very comfortable, and Roman was immediate with his responses!!! Thanks for being there to give me a preliminary tour!!!

    Tim2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a long weekend get away! Plenty of space for up to 8 people and we had plenty to do! Hot tub, sauna, many games, and about a 40 min drive to Asheville if you are looking to go out and about. Highly recommend and plan to go back!

    Kimber2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Hi Roman, Thank you very much for sharing your cabin with us! Everything was perfect; from the location (privacy but so close to town) to all the special touches (hammock, stocked kitchen, board games) to the local treats in the fridge :) We rally enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again! Jacek, Dorota, Peter, Paul Adrian, Aga and Leja

    Jacek2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely great. We stayed at the house our entire time. Getting in the sauna and then jumping in the hot tub was great. We had a LAN party while we where there and the internet was good enough to play games. I would just recommend downloading games before you go. The kitchen is also fully furnished which was great as we brought a bunch of food to cook. Had the time of our lives.

    Benjamin2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is located about a mile from Hot Springs so it's an easy walk to town but still has privacy. The cabin is decorated and has a lot of personalities! We enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna while we were there. Roman was quick to respond with any questions or concerns.

    Debbie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house was absolutely fantastic. Location was awesome. Beds were super comfy. Everything worked perfectly. Came here for a trip with my friends and no part of this house came close to a let down. We were all incredibly comfortable and happy. Roman was a great host and made sure we were fully taken care of.

  • This is such a cozy place to stay in Hot Springs! It is just off the main road, making it an easy walk to any part of town. The room was spacious and the bathroom had the amenities we needed. A light breakfast in the mornings was a nice way to start the day. Even though it’s a shared B&B, it often felt like we had the house to ourselves.

  • If you're in hot springs, look no further. Having stayed in other local hotels and resorts I was thrilled to find this gem. The location is right close to the main stores making walking to and from town very easy. The yard is perfect for relaxing under the stars, and very quiet too. Lastly, the home itself is beautiful. I cannot recommend this B&B enough

Our cottage is perched on a bluff overlooking the town of Hot Springs and the French Broad Valley. The natural springs hot tubs at the spa are filled with fresh mineral water for each guest; perfect way to unwind after a day rafting or hiking.
Our 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is located just 1 miles from the quaint village of Hot Springs; where the French Broad River and Appalachian Trail meet.
Hot Springs has the feel of Smoky Mountain National Park without the crowds. It's easy to get lost in nature on the many trails surrounding the town, or canoe or kayak sections of the river in solitude.
  • The house was fantastic and in a perfect location in Hot Springs. Deb was very communicative. Highly recommend this place.

    Julia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean! Nice little getaway spot and loved the local pub Deb suggested for food!

    Jasmine2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was exactly what was advertised. It was clean and comfortable and Deb is very easy to communicate with. The hot tub was the best! We will definitely be back.

    Madison2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Some pictures of rentals are, innocently enough, slightly deceptive. For example a space might look bigger or in better shape than it actually when you get there. This was NOT the case with Deb’s place! This rental was adorable, immaculate, and easy! The beds were comfy, the shower was hot, the hot tub was fantastic, the instructions for maintenance and check in/check out were clear. Thanks for a great stay!

    Sheila2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant stay. There is just one bath in the house, but it is easy accessible from both bedrooms. Deb is very responsive and easy to communicate with. I can recommend to stay here. Thank you!

Hot Springs has a Dollar General and Hillbilly Market. Beer and wine can be purchased "to go" in Hot Springs.
We are country! Dave's 209 Restaurant, 4 miles south, offers a country breakfast on Saturday's 7AM-11AM .This is our old rock built school which is worth a visit. Our Volunteer Fire-department is next door. Down the road another 2 mile is Trust General Store which has gas and ATM available. One other thing, 2 miles south there is Fowler Farms Sporting Clays-golf with a shotgun. Check their website.
  • What a beautiful, serene, little cabin out in the mountains! Roz’s cabin was the perfect size for my wife and I, along with our 4 dogs. Her place felt like a home away from home. Very clean, and well kept and had everything we needed for our stay. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our pups! The cabin is close to several hiking trails that we ventured out on and it was always nice coming back to the peaceful creek that runs behind the cabin. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future!

  • I can’t say enough good things about this cabin. Felt like a home from the moment we walked in the door. Very comfortable and thoughtful touches throughout

    Nathaniel2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I don't think we could of lucked out more. The spring behing the cabin and the stars at night were incredible. We didn't need one thing while there despite all the things we forgot. Felt like staying in a familial home. We will most definitely be back!

  • Beautiful little space hosted in Spring Creek by friends of my parents; not only was it convenient to my family’s location, but it was also comfortable and very cozy. Highly recommend and look forward to our next stay!

  • Loved the cabin! Great for pets, perfect size as well for two humans and two dogs. Charming, efficient and thoughtful space to spend a relaxing weekend.

    Alex2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great secluded cabin! The cabin was clean and really nice inside and out. Depending on your cell phone provider you may not get cell service and there is no wifi. No Verizon service, but T-mobile worked. The creek behind the cabin is beautiful and peaceful and the yard is fenced if you bring your furry companion :).

    Mykel2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay for hiking and bringing pups along for the trip! The house was clean and comfortable!

    Sara2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Me and a friend along with her pup stayed at Roz's place for a weekend while we did some hiking in the area. The cabin was beautiful and has everything we needed. Includes use of a shared 3200 sq foot barn, luxury heated bathhouse, fire pit, miles of private hiking trails and more.

Glamping in beautifully furnished stout tents on platforms, restored 3200 sq ft barn for your enjoyment, brand new heated bathhouse, and miles of meadow and forest trails.
  • This property is a gorgeous gem! Tama, Allison, and Chris are incredibly kind and thoughtful... I inquired about curtains for the windows, and magically they came into existence the very next day, sewn by Allison. The tiny house is adorable, comfortable, and well-appointed. There was a small learning curve getting used to the on-demand hot water heater, but I got the hang of it. The ability to have hot showers in my own bathroom, and a sweet little kitchen was wonderful. The house and property were perfect for this busy single woman to get away from stress and closer to nature for a few days. Thank you so much for a lovely retreat :)

  • William’s tiny house was an incredible experience. It was truly a pleasure to experience life in a smaller space and my fiancée and I are convinced we need to build one in the future. It was warm through a cold winter night and cozy. 10/10!

  • If you are looking for a weekend away in nature alone or with a spouse, this is the perfect location! I was traveling alone and felt completely safe. The location felt secluded, had stunning views, access to trails, incredible wildlife (turkeys, geese, deer, song birds), and lovely accommodations, but was still easily accessible and close to the amenities of Hot Springs (less than 10min drive away). The Tiny House was thoughtfully laid out and a new deck and fire pit was added just before my stay - which had lovely sunrise and sunset views. The bathhouse was clean and spacious and the barn was charming. The wildflowers were lovely and the trees were filled with birdsong. It was perfect for a quiet weekend away in nature - cell service was spotty but WiFi was available in the barn, which was more than I needed anyway. Tama was a great host and I was given the solitude I was seeking. I am eager to return with my family next time!

    Cara2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny home was absolutely WONDERFUL! My husband and I were seeking a much needed get away, which we definitely found at paint rock farms. Being able to completely “unplug” was very refreshing! The tiny house had all the amenities we could have asked for. The front deck was fabulous. Being able to watch a magical sky full of stars at night and a fantastic sunset was hands down the best part of it all! If your seeking nature and serenity this place has it for sure! We will definitely be back, thank you again for a great weekend!

  • My partner and I decided to take a last minute trip to the mountains this weekend - landing us there much later than we would normally arrive. Sharon was VERY quick to respond and let me know it was okay to arrive late - they were very flexible with that! My favorite part about the space was the back porch! The view of the mountains was unbeatable... especially at such a cheap price! Relax and watch the sunset or star gaze at night... so much sky and such beautiful mountains! Sharon and Gary our privacy but were very clear that they were right next door and only a phone call away if anything was needed. They provided wonderful breakfast options and all of the necessities for a getaway! Upon leaving, I accidently left my pocketbook. Luckily I was only about 30 minutes away when Sharon and Gary realized - but they were willing to not only meet me halfway, but also mail it to me if I was too far gone to come back! THAT is good service and hospitality! We will definitely be back!

  • AMAZING!!! Sharon’s place is exactly what you need to rest and relax- and you didn’t even know it. Such a sweet homey space with an INCREDIBLE view of the smokies right outside the window. Spacious and they leave so many great travel tips while visiting. If you’re looking for something near Asheville- we spent a day without feeling far from the Jewel. I look forward to visiting North Carolina again, and will definitely book here again.

Enjoy a soak in the natural hot mineral water springs that give the town it's namesake at the Hot Springs Spa next door to the cottage! The cottage is right on Spring Creek, and the French Broad River runs by town as well. For the adventurous type, whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, paddling, cycling, horseback riding, & ziplining are all nearby! Or for a slower weekend, relax by the creek, stroll the cute shops, and sip&dine at the local restaurants.
  • Had a blast, loved the small local location!

  • We had a WONDERFUL weekend at the Red Bridge Cottage. The cottage is cute and quaint, with all of things needed for a cozy weekend. Our kids loved the toys, games and backyard. The location is ideal for walking around Hot Springs. We were able to quickly grab coffee, lunch or dinner just a few minutes away. We also enjoyed a short hike on the Appalachian Trail. Our kids loved staying right by the train tracks. They love trains - and being so close didn't bother us a bit. We had a fabulous time and hope to come back in the future!

  • Great place to stay to relax and unwind. Very charming home in walking distance to everything. Can't wait to plan our next visit! Hope we can stay longer.

    Carolyn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place and super location. Great communication and easy check in. A+ experience!

    Todd2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Red Bridge Cottage was such a treat! The cottage is beautifully decorated, and stocked with just about anything you could need for your stay. The hosts always responded quickly. The beds are so comfortable! Not to mention you can walk to everything in town from the cottage. We hope to return in the near future.

    Angie2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, wonderful yard, super comfortable bedding, comfortable furniture, well organized (labels), handy notebook with good info on the area, hiking, sightseeing, etc.

    Mindy2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place walking distance to the Appalachian Trail on both sides of town. The town of Hot Springs is a non-touristy hidden gem and one of the few (only?) places where the Appalachian Trail goes right through town making it an important stop for through-hikers. The house is very clean, modern, well appointed, comfy and has everything you need. The back family room is wonderful, makes the place much larger than it looks from the street. The backyard is lovely with crystal clear Spring Creek running through it. There is a train track across the street, be prepared for some noise a couple of times a day (as late as 10 PM or as early as 7 AM when we were there). The train did not bother us, however. We thought it was pretty cool going by.

    Mark2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • I love the house! Super cute! I LOVE the bed frames! 😍 It was a quiet and cozy place. The backyard was great for our twins to run around and my husband loved all of the places to fish!

Stay in a fully furnished camper on this very romantic, tranquil, and private glamping site located on our organic farm. Included with this lodging is a CLEAN hot tub, outdoor grill, fire ring and complimentary firewood. You will find a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet, a queen short bed with a deluxe firm mattress and air conditioning. You may purchase farm fresh food, making this space perfect for those who want to escape into nature and foodies alike.
WHATS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW ON THE FARM AT MOUNTAIN HARVEST ORGANICS: COVID-19 Preparations: The farm is an excellent place for social distancing because of our isolation and our food production! If you are running a fever or have a cough, have been exposed to someone with these symptoms, or have been around anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we'd like for you not to book and if you've already booked that you cancel your reservation so that you can stay home and be well. Not only are we doing our normal deep cleaning, we've also implemented a disinfectant process in compliance with the CDC recommendations for dealing with the COVID-19. THE FARM IS COMING OUT OF WINTER MODE: We are removing overwintered crops and planting crops that'll feed us, our neighbors and guests for the summer months. WINTER VEGGIES: Right now we have spinach, potatoes, carrots and onions. The farm is at a state where we are removing our overwintered vegetables and planting veggies for the spring. If you've booked a couple nights with us, you might just find your refrigerator stocked with some farm fresh goodness!!! The nighttime temperatures have been dropping down into the 20's which is great for having a campfire with complimentary wood that we provide. THE THISTLE GLAMPING SITE - All children under 12 years of age stay FREE! Airbnb does not provide a means for us to specify these requirements during check-out. When booking a stay for this accommodation, only include those over 12 years of age as the number of guests. Be sure to message us with the total number of guests who will be visiting so we can be certain to have linens available for the couch bed. - A hot tub for the perfect way to relax after a hike or for enjoying the nighttime stars. - Heating and Air Conditioning for your comfort in hot or cool weather! - A Fully Equipped Kitchen. Fully furnished with spices, condiments, plates, silverware, pots, pans and even grilling utensils. Such kitchen gadgets include: grilling utensils, a skillet, a basic set of pots and pans. You will have the option to purchase farm fresh goodness should you wish to prepare meals during your stay. - High quality linens: The bedroom will have a set of sheets and each person will be provided 2 towels, a hand towel and wash cloth. - This accommodation features 1 bedroom that has a deluxe queen mattress. This bed is comfortable for 2 adults. - 1 Bathroom with a flush toilet, hot and cold water for a shower should you want to rinse off. - A comfortable couch: Perfect for relaxing on during inclement weather or after a long day of hiking. This can be made into a twin short bed for a third guest, that is best suited for a child. Please know, when made into a bed, it is only 5'7" long!!!! - Outdoor table and chairs for enjoying an adult beverage while taking in the beautiful mountain views - Outdoor grill for those who want to grill a meal. We the farmers grill most of our summer meals rather than heating up our house!!! Grilling transforms any veggie or meat into deliciousness! - Fire Pit, complimentary firewood and chairs for enjoying a fire after the sun sets. - An indoor dining table just in case you prefer to eat indoors. PROMOTIONS For Guests who book 2 or more nights: We offer complimentary seasonal farm fresh goodies. In addition, we offer a guided tour of the farm. For Guests who book 1 night: We offer a self guided tour of the farm. THE FARM EXPERIENCE The farm is perfect for children because they have fun checking out the tadpoles, petting the horse or cow, and walking through the crops examining all the different types of produce that is growing at any given time; however, for your child's safety on the farm, you will want to be with them at all times while they are exploring. Children who visit the farm tend to get dirty so you may want to bring extra clothing for them!!! We grow over 250 different cultivars of row crops, so it is always fun to walk through the greenhouses or fields, sampling on the various things growing at any given time throughout the season. You might find yourself plucking a cherry tomato off the vine, or snap a bean off the plant, maybe unearth a radish or carrot. If you're lucky to be staying on the farm when sweet corn is ripening, you will be rewarded with the experience of indulging in fresh corn eaten right off the cob in the field, which is a treat unlike no other! We also include wildflower, butterfly and tree field guide books for those who are interested in the challenge of identifying some of our unique biodiversity while hiking the farm trails or wandering the farm fields. We have several short, fairly easy trails through the farm that can be easily enjoyed by both the young and old. The Hot Springs area has plenty of more strenuous hiking trails for those who want to challenge themselves to that type of hiking experience. Meadow Fork Creek meanders through the farm which is the perfect place for children, accompanied by adults, to play. The water is of excellent quality, so a few times each year, the forest service stock trout in the creek right from the bridge on the farm. The creek is great for those wanting to do a little fishing during their farm stay. You will find clear (frequently, when the clouds allow) night skies for evenings spent outside star gazing while hanging out around a fire ring. The farmers are more than happy to provide you with a guided farm tour, so just let them know if you'd like them to set aside time for that. They can let you visit with the cows and the pet horse. If you plan on walking around the farm, please be sure to bring shoes you don't mind dirtying. We wear muck boots when doing livestock chores and harvesting. We wear leather boots when working on projects or out in the fields. ABOUT THE GLAMPER We've set this up on a remote and private site on the farm. Some people think that the roads to and from the site is a long driveway, but that is why it is so private!!!
We are a 20 minute drive from Hot Springs which has restaurants, shops, and activities that are sure to keep you entertained. If you like the water, you may consider booking a rafting trip for an incredible experience on our wild rivers. We are a 20 minute drive to Max Patch, over which the Appalachian Trail crosses, that has been nominated as one of the top scenic sites in all of Western North Carolina. Mountain Harvest Organics is a 130 acre production organic farm. The farm backs up to the Pisgah National Forest, so there is plenty of forested area, along with bottom land that is used for row crop production. While we regularly mow, clean, and maintain our rental sites, the farm itself is geared toward food production. We love to share the food-growing process with guests, but it is not a manicured and perfectly organized environment! Pollinators and beneficial insects, like bumblebees and butterflies, thrive in un-mowed areas, of which we have many. There is mud after it rains, stacks of seed-starting trays for our little plants in the spring and surfaces in our production areas that regularly see dirt and soil instead of toxic cleaners and Clorox wipes! Please do not expect a farm like you may see in the movies. That being said, we welcome you to come enjoy the beauty and imperfections of living on a REAL farm! Our driveway is not paved, but is accessible with 2 wheel drive vehicles or motorcycles, so please know that your car may get dirty when visiting the farm. We are an hours drive from the Biltmore Estate, Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Cataloochee, Asheville, Waynesville, Maggie Valley or Weaverville. We are a hour and a half from Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and Cades Cove. We are only a few hours from Charlotte and Atlanta and a half days drive from Charleston and Raleigh. So escape to the beautiful mountains and stay with us! Getting around The farm is not accessible by public transportation as we are in a remote location. Also, being in a remote area, cell phone coverage can be spotty and varies by carrier so just know your phone may not work in our area.  We do not have TV or extensive Wi-Fi, so the farm is a AWESOME opportunity for those hoping to have a somewhat unplugged experience.
  • If you want a secluded getaway in the woods with a hot tub, this is your jam right here. Julie & Carl are awesome and so are their dogs, they do an excellent job of making you feel at home. If we didn’t have to rush back home we prob would’ve stayed another day or two. We will definitely return!

  • Soooo amazing!!! Loved the welcoming team who came with us up the driveway (sweet big puppy love!) The privacy, the fresh air, the fresh veggies, the grill, everything was exceptional. We got some local coffee and brought a french press and had the most amazing breakfasts. The first night it rained and we sat under the little porch overhang and drank mimosas, and listened to it through the night with the windows open, the second night the sky was so clear, I’ve never seen so many stars. So incredible. Thank you guys so much!!

    Sadie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful private location for glamping. The night sky is perfect for star gazing. Carla and Julie are exceptional hosts!

    Kathy2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here at the Thistle was absolutely amazing. Unplugging from technology and relaxing under the stars was exactly what I wanted for this trip. Julie was an amazing host. Our directions were spot on, the camper was clean with everything you would need for your stay, private, beautiful scenery, and the tour of Julie and Carl's farm was the cherry on top. I absolutely recommend staying here. We will be coming back with our daughters soon just to show them how beautiful this place was!

  • This is hands down my favorite place to stay in Hot Springs. Very private and clean. The veggies and beef they stock in the fridge is fabulous. And they always have wood for you to use in the fire pit.

    Taylor2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay!

    Austin2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED Paw Print! The fenced-in yard is what drew us in but the cabin itself was wonderful! The bed was extraordinarily comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, although I did buy and leave a potato peeler because I am NOT good with a paring knife! ;-) Though Paw Print is closer to the main road, we were not bothered by noise at all. The bamboo along the fence afforded wonderful privacy, noise reduction, and shaded the front of the cabin so we could sleep waaaay past a reasonable time. We also walked up to the meadow at night and did some star gazing and admired the Milky Way! We and our 2 pups enjoyed our stay immensely!

  • My husband and I stayed for two nights in Holly Cabin. We LOVED our stay there, it was perfect for two and our pooch. The location is peaceful, the hot tub was wonderful and bed was very comfortable! It was very clean and had everything we needed! We will be back very soon!

    Mary Frances2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect. Great tips on recommended hikes/ destinations around the cabin too!

    Tyler2019-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Pine cabin. They have almost everything you need and communication was excellent. Hot tub was very clean and just the right temperature. They are fantastic host and obviously have thought of everything as they are very thorough. Our cabin was very secluded and quiet. The driveway is steep and narrow but nothing to be concerned about when visiting. The drive to Asheville is a little over an hour. I encourage you to take the longer drive down 209 south towards I 40. It's a beautiful drive along a creek. Also be sure not to miss Max Patch. We were concerned about the stiffness of the mattress but it was okay. Just our preference to have a softer mattress but everyone is different. Thanks again! We will be back!

    Justin2019-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Loved how remote this cabin was. Your own little space in the middle of the woods. Had everything you could possibly need and more. Super accommodating. Loved the woodsy decor- super homey. Makes you not want to leave. Town of hot springs is about 20 min away. Asheville about 50 min. Definitely fill your gas tank and get groceries before you arrive. Hot tub was an excellent addition to an already enjoyable stay. Take advantage of the no cell service for a few days to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern day life.

  • We stayed at this same cabin last Christmas and had such an amazing experience that we returned this year. Another great stay and we plan to make this a yearly tradition.

  • Cabin 5 was a great treat! It was easy to find and checking in was so simple. The space was clean and cozy! We wrapped up in blankets and hung out on the porch swing, enjoying the night view of the mountains. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in North Carolina!

    Allura2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cabins are nestled on the mountain and embodies the perfect romantic and unplugged getaway. It was cold and rained our first night, but the gas heater kept us warm and the rain on the roof was so relaxing. We sat on the covered porch on the swing and listened to the rain and it was exactly what my husband and I needed. We could see one of the neighboring cabins, but it was far enough away that we felt like we still had our privacy. There is a picnic table, grill, and fire pit. We’d have loved to take advantage of that if it hadn’t rained, and we’re pleased that Ken and Amy left us a bag of charcoal and a bunch of firewood. We are so excited to plan another trip and stay longer! We didn’t get to meet Ken and Amy in person, but they were fantastic hosts and were very responsive.
