Good communication and awesome view

We booked our stay while having work done at our home and it ended up being the perfect retreat. We worked remotely for a few days — I used the upstairs bedroom and desk as my office while my husband worked downstairs, which worked out great. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked (pro tip: take inventory before heading to the grocery store!). The decor is beautiful and all the plants made the place so bright! Mornings on the porch with coffee and mountain views were a peaceful way to start the day. We also loved exploring the charming town of Black Mountain. We hope to have the chance to return! Luke and Olessia were awesome hosts and very responsive to our questions.

This is a beautiful property in an excellent location. The home was well appointed with many thoughtful touches. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed the backyard and jacuzzi. It was very clean which we really appreciated, and would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Asheville.

This was the most peaceful Airbnb stay! We were blown away with how nice and cozy this little sanctuary was. The sauna, tea & coffee, wood burning fireplace, and comfy bed all added to our wonderful experience. Plus, the land is beautiful and the hosts and their kiddos are so nice! We would stay longer if we could!

Alexandra gave wonderful directions to the house. We felt right at home! Beautiful location, very clean, and more than enough space for two adults and two dogs. I read a review that there is a house very close by which isn’t represented in the photos. This is true, however, because there is a large privacy fence separating the properties. We never saw or heard the neighbor the entire week we stayed. It was a lovely vacation, thank you!

Wow this place was amazing. Definitely going to be back! Honestly everything inside the house was SO WELL thought out. Instructions everywhere for everything. Mosquito netting - what a blessing in NC spring/summer. Claw foot tub?? Great way to start my day - a bubble bath surrounded by beautiful nature. "10 min to downtown" was SPOT ON. I visited a couple favourite spots and left my dog at the house uncrated without worrying about him getting too bored in the amount of time I'd be out (he is the bestest boy though, so ymmv) My dog loved the yard! He got a bit confused by the netting on the porch, and that was hilarious to watch. We were close enough to houses to feel like there would be help if anything happened, but the way it's situated, you feel like you're in your own private little world. It was stunning and felt very safe in this space 🖤

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home with its incredible views of Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Falls from the deck & patio! Lisa & Johns place is close to town, yet it is in a gated community up the mountain so its totally private & peaceful with it's awesome mountain views by day and a million stars at night! We spent time in Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Asheville, The Biltmore, Black Mountain and more, everything was easy to get to. I highly recommend this home!

The cabin was lovely and we had a great time there . Communication with owners was easy and prompt. The cabin is hidden in the mountains , but easy to find and with good access . We felt safe . The cabin is 100 years old but beautifully renewed , without taking the feeling that you are in a traditional mountain cabin . We also enjoyed the nearby community and the kind people living in the area . We loved the stay and we plan to return .

This was our second stay at Gilbert’s cabin. We enjoyed it the second time just as much as the first! Both times the cabin has been spotless and well kept. Kitchen was stocked with every thing we needed, we really appreciated the kid size utensils and dishes. The high chair and pack n play also make our travels easier with our one year old son! Our two daughters would stay in the pool area all day if they could, it is such an added bonus! We also love that we can bring our four legged family member, there is a nice dog park just 10 minutes away. Gilbert is top notch when it comes to Airbnb hosts. Thank you for welcoming us in your cabin, can’t wait for the next stay!

Our family just experienced our favorite vacation! Overall, we left for home feeling rejuvenated and full of joy. Our host, Julie, is the host of hosts! She makes it her mission to ensure all guests are treated like family and works tirelessly to ensure a 5-star experience. She made is extremely easy to check-in and ensure all our questions were answered quickly. The cabin is in a private community that has the best scenic views we've seen. Just like so many other reviews say, the views are incredible and pictures simply cannot capture the full beauty and majestic landscapes! It's a quiet community, and even the private community pool was never crowded. The location is perfectly centered between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg - about 15 minutes from each location. The cabin is just as described. It has all the essentials and is very clean and well maintained. This is well worth the cost. It's an investment in a precious memory we will always cherish!

This Airbnb was everything we hoped for and more. The location was ideal, close to everything but still peaceful and relaxing. The home itself was beautifully updated, with modern furniture and tasteful decor that made it feel like a luxury retreat. It was fully stocked with thoughtful amenities, which made settling in so easy. From the kitchen essentials to extra towels, everything was covered. The highlight for our family? Definitely the pool and hot tub! Our kids (11 and 16) had the best time and were never bored, which made it a vacation win for everyone. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better spot and can’t wait to come back!

I went with my boyfriend for a runaway week on the mountains and we loved it, great house, the location was perfect, the town nearby was really cute, and we saw a lot of animals around the house!! We will be coming back. Great house and service!! 20/10

Best Airbnb experience ever!! The dome was so cool and we enjoyed the amenities including the grill and hot tub. Even did yoga on the porch one morning! Our dog had a blast meeting the pigs on the farm. Tessa was super communicative, we had everything we needed and directions were super clear! Tessa puts meaningful touches into her property and you can tell this place was made with love!

This cabin and its surroundings are a true gem. Everything was clean, organized and there were so many things that upgraded this place from my other Airbnb experiences. I loved that Lindsey had a set of dog bowls waiting for us, fire logs for the fire pit outside, coffee/tea/hot chocolate as well as cooking essentials (salt, pepper, oil, and some spices). The kitchen is well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. We loved spending time on the outdoor deck. The fire flys at sunset were amazing and the sound from the nearby creek is incredible! Our dog loved to play on the lawn in front of the cabin and we took many walks on the road opposite the driveway (saw bunnies, cows, horses, and stunning scenery). The scenery and surroundings are so peaceful and stunning. I want to come back here again!!

This was my wife and I first time visiting Asheville. After spending about an hour searching where to stay, we decided to lodge at this beautiful cozy A-frame. This allowed us to have easy access to hiking trails, a great view of the mountains and yet still be able to reach downtown Asheville in about twenty minutes. Needless to say we had a great time and we would recommend staying here.

Great little home! Very quiet and still close enough to all Asheville has to offer. Go see Biltmore!

Absolutely worth checking this place out. Quintessential WNC, down to the fireflies peppering the field below. Very beautifully styled home with unique spaces to enjoy where you are.

If you are looking for rest and reset, this is the place to stay. Spencer and Bela thought through the design of their place which is amazing for a couple or a solo traveler like me. The entrance from main road is true mountain life and is a bit steep and winding leaving the path a bit rough especially after the rain, but I navigated it easily. Once here, no more worries are needed. The detailed recommendations were perfect. I would like to add "The Local Joint" was really really good if you don't want to go to downtown Asheville. I will definitely be coming back for another "Me Retreat" very soon. Thank you Spencer and Bela for a perfect stay.

The place was beautiful! We had an amazing time there and she went out of her way to make us feel right at home. We will definitely book again!!

Tawnie and Wayne’s place was extraordinary! My husband and I have been dome glamping since we started dating in 2018, we stayed in a dome for our honeymoon and we try most every anniversary trip to visit a new, romantic dome, and this year Smokey Mountain Dome DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It was beautifully decorated and built, pristinely clean, amenities were wonderful, and all the little details really put it over the top! Thank you for having wash cloth hooks and shelves for toiletries in the shower! And full length mirrors! Not sure why these details escape so many other rental properties but they do! But Tawni and Wayne didn’t miss a thing! Only negative was the gravel road. We were aware of the steep gravel road up to the dome from the listing, but it would have been good to know that the road was not only gravel, but also pretty washed out and rutted up gravel. Made the drive pretty bumpy and treacherous. But we made it and it was worth it!
