A private, simply furnished cabin at the bottom of our garden within the World Heritage Site. The cabin has two single beds. There is a shower room and toilet ten steps from the cabin . We are 100 metres from a great pub which serves real ales and excellent food. The space is very private with access to a small garden. We are a 5 minute walk from Thomas Telfords famous aqueduct. Offas Dyke path is at the bottom of our drive. We are close to Trevor Barns and Tyn Dwr Hall wedding venues.
Our house overlooks the Llangollen canal. We are right by the Froncysyllte turning circle for the narrow boats. The accommodation is in our back garden but guests are very welcome to sit out the front and watch the world go by.
A very quiet area. We are within walking distance of Chirk Castle. The Offa's Dyke foot path goes along the bottom of our drive. There is a small cafe and a Takeaway on the A5 about a five minute walk. The Aqueduct Inn is a great place to eat. Booking is strongly recommended please ph(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).

  • The cabin is a real gem, set in idyllic surroundings, great as a base for walking. Sian is one of the best hosts we have encountered. She is so friendly, providing lots of good advice and the tea and cake at the end of a long walk were most welcome. A place to return to again and again.

  • i was rather blown away by Dave and David's home. Such stylish accommodation and so many unexpected extras such as the superb outdoor hot tub and 3D cinema. I was made to feel extremely welcome throughout my stay and these guys clearly have hosting and hospitality in their DNA. I also enjoyed a superb supper prepared by David and served in the candlelit dining room. The house has great views and is well placed for exploring the area. Even though I had the smallest room it was excellent value.

    Nigel2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great hospitality, stunning house and location. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area, and evening meal was lovely too, well worth it. Thanks for a lovely stay

    Sarah2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • David is the consummate host, and nothing seems to be too much for him in terms of helping out. The house itself is beautiful, with wonderful views, and is decorated to a really high standard. The whole place is well thought through, with Alexa operating the lights in every room, and making it simple to contact David if you need help. I stayed in the single bedroom which is VERY small, but incredibly comfortable.

    Josh2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Dave was very welcoming as was the superb hot tub once we’d worked out with Alexa how to play some blues on the poolside speakers 🥴. As I’d just had a miserable 13 mile hike along Offa’s Dyke in pouring rain and mud (Offa’s path is an easy 15 mins away) I was ready for that hot tub pamper. Moreover Dave and David offer an optional full evening meal with wine for just £15 - in my case an excellent chicken curry. This is great as the nearest eatery/pub is not walkable. All in all a great place to stay and lovely hosts!

    Tim2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place in a lovely, quiet scenic area.

  • Top notch Airbnb with phenomenal hosts! You can’t go wrong and don’t forget to take advantage of their home made dinners served with more flair than a 5-star restaurant. I mean it - book now!

Escape the rat race.....come and unwind........a warm welcome awaits you at my lovely old Welsh country cottage dated circa 1650......come and be close to nature, birds and animals (you have to like dogs, ducks, chickens and wildlife!), take your time in a nurturing natural environment.
Tŷ Isaf is a traditional Welsh stone cottage situated in the stunning Ceiriog Valley. The cottage is very old built circa 1650, it is clean and warm.....but not modernised.....it has wonky walls, old beams and floorboards and flaking plaster and wallpaper because I am slowly renovating.......character I say........but that may not be to your liking! Nevertheless, my home has a lovely welcoming, warm, relaxed atmosphere........ everyone loves Tŷ Isaf! I have a single bed available at first floor level in a single room. The double room is taken by my lodger. There are two bathrooms, a sunny kitchen/dining room and a snug lounge with a huge open fireplace with a wood burner for a fire if it's cold. I have two small friendly dogs and I currently keep free range ducks and chickens outside in the large garden which is visited by a huge variety of wild birds. The surrounding fields are full of wild flowers, sheep and cows........so this listing will suit active, outdoorsy, easy going walkers/country people who are ok with the unpredictable and sometimes messy antics of animals and mud!
Glyn Ceiriog is a very beautiful, unspoilt Welsh valley steeped in history and culture with a thriving community spirit, lots of wonderful walks in the wilderness of the Berwyn and Llantysilio mountains, bike rides and horse riding. There are sooo many interesting places to visit including the 11 mile long UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the Llangollen Canal, National Trust properties at Erddig and Chirk Castle etc. The spectacular market town of Llangollen on the River Dee with its steam railway and canal and the wonderful Castell Dinas Brân and limestone escarpment and International Music Eisteddfod in July. Spend a pleasant afternoon in the charming market town of Oswestry which has many small individual shops and cafe's.
  • I highly recommend this cottage, a warm welcome awaits you and you will be close to places such as Llangollen and its Aqueduct or the Pystill Rhaeadr waterfall (40 minutes). The cottage is a charming building and the room is ideal for a single person.

  • Very enjoyable stay with a friendly and welcoming host. Make sure you get the instructions for travelling beforehand as communication and internet access is limited in the valley.

Converted from a cattle shed into a holiday let in 2011. Compact, simple but comfortable, in quiet rural location with views over open countryside, situated within 2 miles of town centre. Ideal location for relaxing break or as a base to explore the many attractions of local area.
The Host works full time but likes to personally prepare cottage and greet all guests so stays from SUNDAY PM ONLY and also Mondays on Bank Holiday weekends.
  • The cottage is small but well equipped (including cooking ingredients!), suitable for a couple or small family or small group. Great location for explore the bordering towns in both England and Wales. Nature lovers and outdoor adventurers like us will love it. Easy to get to supermarkets and shops in Oswestry. Easy going host is also a plus.

  • We were 3 and stayed for a week. The cottage is very well located and so lovely. Very well equipped. Rosemary was a wonderful host : helpful and thoughtful. She prepared us a gorgeous lemon cake. Yummy! The view was amazing and so peaceful. We strongly recommended the house. Thank you Rosemary for everything.

  • Great little out of the way , secluded spot , but still close to town. We spent a day just lazing around (we were needing a lay day), great view and not even any traffic goes past here, very relaxing!

A quaint little red brick cottage nestled within one of the 31 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the UK, we love our home and we're sure you will too! With your own private bedroom to sleep 2, private bathroom with bath and shower and access to living room, there really is no better place to relax after either a long day walking in the welsh hills or a hard days work. If the dates you are looking for are blocked then please message and we’ll see if we can accommodate your needs :-)
The accommodation is located upstairs in our property and consists of a private room with an (extremely comfortable we've been told) Hemnes double day bed - we’ve listed this as a bed as sofa bed really does not do it justice, and Air BnB don’t give an option for exceptionally comfortable day bed. You also benefit from a private bathroom with a comfortable P shaped bath and shower. Access to your room is through a communal area used also by ourselves.
We’ve lived in the surrounding area for the majority of our time together and settled on this house due to our love of adventure and nature. We are right on the Llangollen canal so walking, running, canoeing and cycling are all readily available. We have several pubs and restaurants with varying style and price range within easy walking distance, in fact we’ve pretty much got everything we love without ever having to step foot on a main road!
  • Lovely couple very welcoming. We stayed one night with our 1 year old & easily had enough room in the bed for the 3 of us. The room & bathroom were spotless & lots of extra touches with snacks & refreshments. We walked up the garden to the canal & enjoyed a lovely short walk to the pub for a large meal & then walked to the aqueduct & bridge in the opposite direction for some gorgeous views. The Castle we decided to drive to which wasn’t far. We will hopefully be back for some more walks.

    Sam2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time using an Airbnb and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming. Their home is beautiful and the accommodation for guests is modern, fresh and clean. There are loads of extras, so if you forget anything they have you covered! I would recommend their home in a heartbeat, my only regret is my stay wasn't longer. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

    Stephanie2019-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay - responsive, adaptable hosts with a lovely dog and lots of nice touches to make your stay comfortable. The bath a particular pleasure after a long day of walking. Luke and Jenna certainly deserve their superhost status!

    Rebecca2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely spotlessly clean room and a lovely couple with a gorgeous puppy Harley. What more can I say, they were so kind when my hubby's operation was cancelled not once but twice and accommodated the new dates for my stay. Thank you so much Jenna and Luke you helped a stressed out lady cope and the cuddle with Harley was a bonus.

  • Jenna & Luke are the most lovely hosts and couldn’t support me enough. I was treated to delicious healthy breakfasts and because I wasn’t driving, I came by the train, they helped me with getting around. Their home does feel like your home, they make such an effort to put you at ease and to feel relaxed. Their home is cosy, warm and in a great spot to see Chirk and the surrounding areas. If I’m in the area again I know where to stay. Thank you Jenna and Luke x

  • Amanda’s place is clean and comfortable, and was ideally situated for an overnight stay when we were in the area for a wedding. The wood burning stove ensured that we were lovely and warm, despite the cold weather. Amanda was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Would definitely stay again.

The Cabin is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Picturesque walks and cycling on the doorstep. Canalside, so no roads or cars to worry about.
Small cosy space, only 1.8m by 4.8m. but warm and quiet. Television and internet with tea and coffee.
Beautiful scenery, wildlife amazing. On clear nights stars take your breath away.
  • The accomodation was lovely, well kept and quirky! Karen was brilliant especially given the weather at the time of staying! (Storm Dennis). All in all brilliant stay, lovely place, people and location!

  • Fantastic location. Short walk into town along the canal and excellent access to the surrounding areas

    Neil2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • One of my favourite places to stay in Llangollen. It's right on the canal. Lovely and warm in the winter and the beds really comfy. Lots of thoughtful touches too and very welcoming.

    Bonnie2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy canal-side cabin with double bed & tea/coffee making facilities. Shower & toilet in separate small outbuilding next to the cabin. Bird feeder outside the window brings lots of small birds. Amazing views of surrounding hills.

  • This was our second visit to the beautiful dwelling of Karen and Chris. They are dear people and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend this stay. Can't wait to come back and see them again.

    Vanessa2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a superb, quirky place to stay! Very compact, but didn't spoil our stay. Karen the host was there to greet us, and was eager to say she was on call for any needs- although we didn't need anything from her. The situation is idyllic, with direct access to the canal towpath, and would be a lovely walk in daylight! (We walked into Llangollen- about 25minutes- in the dark, and it was a bit hairy! Glad we did it though.) The wet room is separate from the living space, but very close, and there is also access to a fridge, microwave etc, also outside. Bed is super comfortable, and there are fab views to wake up to. If you are looking for something 'different' then this is most definitely the place for you! Thank you, Karen!

Hillside is a 1-bed, self-contained apartment sleeping 2 people. Located on the lower ground floor of Llanerch Farm, an 18thC farmhouse nestled above the Dee Valley in 16 acres of private countryside; it has its own private garden, well-equipped kitchen and gorgeous views. *** Our response to COVID-19: Hillside is located in a secluded spot with no shared spaces. We always take hygiene very seriously, and at this time are taking extra measures to disinfect the apartment between guests. ***
Hillside is a newly-decorated, peaceful, self-contained, one-bedroom apartment situated on the lower ground floor of Llanerch Farm, an 18th century farmhouse located between Froncysyllte and Llangollen on the North Wales borderlands. Llanerch Farm is nestled in 16 acres of private land, with beautiful views of the stunning Dee Valley. We're lucky enough to be able to not only enjoy the UNESCO World Heritage site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct from our windows, but also the 13th century Castell Dinas Bran (or "Crow Castle"), as well as a host of amazing wildlife. Hillside is a peaceful apartment which has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished to provide a flavour of contemporary Welsh farmhouse style and surroundings. It is well-equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable home-from-home, including free WiFi, kitted-out kitchen, dishwasher, Freeview TV/DVD player/HDMI cable, board games, USB sockets and printed information on places to visit, local eateries and lots of other useful stuff. Hillside's private rear garden with patio set and parasol is the perfect spot to watch the sun set behind the romantic ruins of Dinas Bran castle, whilst our peaceful resident ponies quietly graze in the surrounding fields. The bedroom has a super-comfy king-size bed. The pretty, bijou ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail, plus fluffy towels and complimentary accessories - we've tried to think of everything you might have forgotten! Our area also has a great 4G phone signal.
We are located on quiet lane above the A5 between the 19thC village of Froncysyllte and ancient town of Llangollen. Type 'Llanerch Farm Froncysyllte' into Gmaps to see exactly where we are. Llangollen (a 10 minute drive away) is bustling with cafes, bars, restaurants and delis selling Welsh produce. Llangollen's world-renowned International Eisteddfod takes place every July, and the town also hosts annual comedy, music, food, walking and Christmas festivals too - to name but a few! In terms of shopping, Llangollen is super-handy for groceries and takeaways, and there is a Tesco Superstore a little over a mile away in Cefn. The border market towns of Oswestry and Wrexham are easily accessible (both just under 20mins by car), or if you fancy shopping 'til you drop, Chester and Shrewsbury are both a mere 30-40mins away by car. We are lucky to enjoy a fantastic choice of local walking routes across mountains, over moorland, along rivers and through woodland. The Panorama, Horseshoe Pass, Valle Crucis Abbey and Pistyll Rhaeadr/Ceiriog Valley walks are particularly popular. We're also situated on the A5 leading straight to the "Gateway to Snowdonia", so a great location to explore further into North Wales too. There's a superb range of adventure activities and experiences in Llangollen (including white water rafting and gorge walking), as well as caving, bungee jumping, canyoning and pony trekking in the area. As well as actually being able to see Castell Dinas Bran (a 13th century castle built on earlier ancient settlements) and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct from Llanerch Farm; we are also very close to 13th century Chirk Castle (seat of the Myddletons), Plas Newydd (18thC home of the celebrated Ladies of Llangollen), and Erddig Hall, which offers a unique sense of below stairs life in a Victorian country house. Other great places to explore include Betwys-y-Coed and Snowdonia, Pistyll Rhaeadr (a stunning waterfall and one of the seven Wonders of Wales), the Ceiriog Valley, Ellesmere and environs, and the lovely Welsh coastal villages of Port Meirion and Port Madog. Our local native wildlife is hugely important to us and we are passionate about continuing to work to create a haven for the wild creatures we share our land with here. You can watch some of our beautiful wildlife from Hillside itself - binoculars and bird book provided! We also have a number of lovely nature reserves on our doorstep and black grouse lekking on the moorland across the valley. Our favourite visitors to Llanerch include peregrine falcons, partridges (listen out for their arresting, mechanical calls) and spotted flycatchers. We keep regularly-updated brochures, leaflets and information outlining all of this info in Hillside for our guests to browse through during their stay.
  • An amazing stay at Llanerch Farm (Hillside), would have loved to have stayed longer - the view from the house can't be beat, surely. The house was decorated beautifully and was perfectly clean throughout - it had everything we expected and more. Lora was helpful when arranging check-in at a time that suited us and the welcome notes/chocolates were a thoughtful gesture. All in all the perfect getaway for a weekend in Wales - for anyone wondering, Llangollen is a great base to explore North Wales. Thanks again to our hosts and we will be recommending to our friends and family.

  • This was our 3rd stay at Hillside, Llanerch Farm. We thoroughly endorse this beautiful place, it is a serene get away, set in a gorgeous hilltop setting with sensational views. It has everything you could need to be comfy and cosy whilst away from home. The whole place is sparkling clean and a joy to relax in. Lora and Barry are thoughtful and responsive hosts. 5 stars easily!

    Nicki2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a relaxing time in Lora's beautiful cottage. It was so clean and comfortable, the views were fantastic and we were made to feel very welcome. The little garden and the hanging baskets outside the bedroom window all looked great, even in November. Thank you again.

  • Hillside is a wonderful place to stay. It is comfortable, cosy and beautifully decorated. The view over the valley is absolutely fantastic.

    Bryan2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Hillside for a week in September and had a lovely stay. The apartment was immaculately clean, cosy and equipped with everything we needed. We particularly loved the stunning views from the apartment. There are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area, including horse drawn canal boat rides and the Llangollen Steam Railway, with Llangollen only a short drive away from the apartment, and we definitely recommend a visit to Chirk Castle and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Although it rained for the most of our stay, we still had a lovely time at Hillside and would certainly stay again if we were to visit the area in the future.

    Kimberley2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious accommodation, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Central heating, a washing machine and most of the facilities you would need, making this a real home from home. Did I mention the outstanding view? Highly recommended.

  • Loras beautiful secluded spot was heaven. Lots of welcoming touches on arrival - and the spot was so gorgeous we almost didn’t want to leave - but we had so many great recommendations about the local area we had great adventures locally. Can’t wait to come back sometime.

  • Chris and Veronica were amazingly accommodating hosts. I felt like one of the family as soon as I arrived, yet I had my private space when I wanted it and the house has a very relaxed atmosphere, perfect. They were so generous and thoughtful also. The room was very comfortable with everything I needed. Thanks again, Rob

  • I really enjoyed my stay here. Chris and Veronica were so wonderful and I felt at home right away. It was great to return home after work and be welcomed with friendly conversation and a homely atmosphere. I am due to return to Oswestry again and I will be booking with Chris again. Perfect hosts including the little doggo Milo

  • Veronica and Chris are really adorable and welcoming people. Courageous too because they accept to host a 6 month old baby! Veronica did not know what to do and what to do. We loved the little garden and the house, which is super cozy and beautifully decorated, not in an Ikea-kind-of-way, but with things that seem to have a story to tell. Veronica and Chris are absolutely adorable and welcoming. Brave too, since they agreed to stay with my 6 month old baby! Veronica did everything to make the most of our stay. We loved the little garden and the house too, which is very comfortable and nicely decorated, as if everything had a history.

  • Chris and Veronica are wonderful hosts. They are very helpful, respectful and friendly. The house is really comfortable and homely, and had everything we needed. It felt like staying with friends. Veronica even picked us up from the train station! I'm just sorry that we couldn't stay for longer

  • Natasha has a lovely home. I haven’t had wallpaper in my house for years but seeing how fabulous it looks at Natasha’s I may have a rethink! There’s plenty of space and you can tell that a lot of love has gone into making it as comfortable as it is. And it’s in a lovely spot with everything you need a short walk away. Natasha was really helpful when we were having some trouble locking down our dates and very flexible with check-in times because we were travelling with a toddler. I can’t recommend Natasha it her home highly enough.

  • Stylish and clean, good location for a trip into Chester. Our daughter loved having a garden to play in. Natasha was very prompt and helpful in her replies- even dropping off a corkscrew when my husband bought a bottle a wine and we couldn't find one! • Very friendly host, comfortable room at a fair price. Suited my needs perfectly.

    Sean2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing stay with Barbara who is really friendly and hospitable. She has some lovely friendly pets and we tried to make a fuss of them all. We were in the area for two nights visiting Family on board a narrow boat trip to Llangollen. Staying at Barbara's made this possible as not far for us to get to the canal. The countryside in this part of the UK is stunning and there is a very useful supermarket (Stans) not far away. The room and amenities where satisfactory for all our needs and was brilliant that we could take our little dog along with us. I would be very happy to stay at Barbara's any time.

Popty Pennant is an old bakehouse in the grounds of an historic seventeenth century upland manor house on the Chirk Castle estate at the head of a secret valley, part of the Ceiriog Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Popty Pennant is a tiny cottage - a converted bakehouse with stone flagged floor, beamed ceiling, white washed walls and an old cast iron range with open fire and stove. It's furnished with traditional antique pieces, a couple of comfortable arm chairs and a scrubbed top table. The cosy crog-loft bedroom with comfortable double bed looks down on to sitting room and open fire. The kitchen has an old dresser, full size oven, microwave and fridge and is fully equipped. There is also a modern shower room.
Plas Pennant is sited within the Chirk Castle estate, within the Ceiriog Valley and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The farmstead is at the head of what feels like a very remote valley but it is only 2.5 miles from Llangollen, which can be reached on foot along an old drovers road. The National Trust's Chirk Castle is only a mile away as the crow flies and the surrounding countryside offers some lovely walks, some great traditional pubs and opportunities to go cycling, horse riding etc. The World Heritage Site Pontcysyllte Aquaduct is also in the adjoining Dee Valley and within walking distance of Pennant. Guests often have trips out to Snowdonia, visiting the coast at Harlech and attractions such as Port Merion, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway and the World Heritage Site Edward I castles at Caernarfon, Conwy, Harlech and Beaumaris.
  • small but perfectly presented property in a beautiful and interesting location

    Frances2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Whether you plan on a short weekend stay or a long visit as I did, you will find Popty Pennant a cosy and charming home for one or two. Walks up to the ridge for views over Llangollen or down to the Ceiriog valley floor will help whet your appetite for good meals in or out. The well equipped kitchen and Sainsbury’s delivery worked wonders for Solstice, Christmas and New Year’s festive menus. When visitors came, we found The Hand in Llanarmon to match Nick’s hearty recommendation: exceptional hospitality even for our group’s 18 month old and excellent food and ale. Nick has created a very special place on this south-facing slope with beautiful views over the green hills and fantastic glowing sunrises and sunsets even in the not-bleak midwinter. It will be many years before I forget this calm and peaceful New Year’s Day 2020, sitting out in the sun from dawn to dusk, comfortably settled on the elegant 18th century terrace with such a glorious view. Thank you, Nick, for a lovely visit.

    Carolyn2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Popty is a tiny piece of getaway from it all heaven. It is like stepping back in time with the luxury of modern amenities such as Wifi, a hot powerful shower and fully equipped kitchen. Popty is set within breathtaking countryside, beautiful views with only the sounds of nature to listen to. Llangollen and Chirk are only a 10 min drive away. We will definitely be returning.

  • A cosy cottage full of character, had a lovely time. A scenic and relaxing location, open fire was a bonus.

  • Great four nights in a fantastic location. Nick and Derek are friendly hosts. Would recommend.

    Colin2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Warm and comfortable home from home, small but perfectly formed with everything needed easily to hand. Lovely to wander the lanes and listen to the silence . Great if you love animals too as there are horses, dogs, chickens and ducks to make friends with. Chirk Castle is nearby and highly recommended and in better weather it would have made a pleasant walk. Lots of other interesting places to visit nearby but just being there in such a lovely setting may be enough.

The Shepherd’s Hut (with optional tent pitch) has a spectacular location with glorious uninterrupted rural views, cosy log burner and swimming pool. Set in rolling countryside on the Welsh / Shropshire border, it has its own private access & parking and enjoys mains water, electricity and drainage. Behind the Hut is a pond with an island and mown tracks lead through the meadows for exploring. Just a mile away is the pretty village of Overton on Dee with its medieval church, pub and shops.
The Shepherd’s Hut is furnished to a very high standard. The Shepherd’s Hut sleeps two however you are welcome to bring a tent to accommodate up to three additional guests to share the facilities. There is a double bed with storage beneath, a kitchen area with sink and granite worktop, woodburner on granite plinth and an en suite shower, wash basin and wc. There is a bedside tv with built in dvd player - whilst there is no tv signal in the valley, there are lots of up to date films on dvd for guests to view. The kitchen is equipped with kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave oven together with a selection of crockery and utensils. Outside is a barbecue and seating area. The is a good mobile phone signal for all networks in the valley. Guests have their own private access from the quiet single track lane to the field where a mown area provides parking. A series of mown pathways then lead up to the Shepherd’s Hut, the pond and surrounding meadows. There are magnificent views over rolling border countryside and further mown tracks through the pasture leading up to the heated swimming pool, which is shared with guests staying at Little Pentre Barn. What makes the Shepherd’s Hut unique is the seclusion of it’s location and the wonderful views over the surrounding woodland and fields. The late evening sun sets over magnificent views towards the Welsh mountains and outside the Shepherd’s Hut is a private garden and seating for guests to enjoy the wonderful views. If guests wish to bring a tent with them they are welcome to do so to accommodate additional guests (a small charge applies, please just specify number of guests at time of booking). For families with young children, a tent can be pitched right next to the door of the Shepherd’s Hut so children can enjoy the adventure of camping but be within feet of Mum and Dad. There are also two further areas of mown grass a little more distant from the Shepherd’s Hut perhaps more suitable for teenagers wanting their own space. (Note: campers please provide own bedding/sleeping bags as well as tent).
The Shepherd’s Hut is located in a stunning location with magnificent views over rolling border countryside. Set in three acres of private grounds it is just a mile from the nearby village with its pub, shops and medieval church. Overton on Dee is a very historic village, the first casualty of Owain Glyndwr’s bloody rebellion of 1400, who burnt it to the ground. Luckily The Shepherd’s Hut was untouched and the churchyard yew trees also survived and as one of the Wonders of Wales are reputed to be nearly 2000 years old. The village has a number of shops and farm produce is available together with meat from a traditional local butcher. Four miles away, Ellesmere is the nearest larger village, with a major Tesco and lovely delicatessen as well as many smaller shops. It has a wonderful tea shop by the mere (lake) and seasonal availability of rowing boats. There is also a major wharf and boatyard on the Ellesmere canal and wonderful towpath walks. Llangollen is about 8 miles away and Oswestry ten miles. Chester and Shrewsbury are both about 22 miles distant, along very good roads, so the journey time is about half an hour. For National Trust members Chirk Castle, Erddig Country House and the magnificent Powis Castle and Gardens are all within easy reach. Hawkstone Follies is nearby, an 18th century garden filled with enchanting grottos, caves and passages as well as other memorials and a massive stone column up which guests can climb. The canal network is accessible either at Ellesmere or at nearby Trevor, where for a modest day charge guests can hire boats to explore the two impressive Telford aquaducts and the Chirk tunnel. A network of footpaths and backlanes are accessible right from the Shepherd’s Hut making it an ideal base for those seeking a relaxing rural break without the need to use a car. One of the lovely five mile or so walks nearby takes guests along the River Dee, has a halfway point at the village pub, perhaps for a Sunday Carvery Lunch, and returns via the lane right to the Shepherd’s Hut. Overton on Dee is a small village with a medieval church 1 mile from the Shepherd’s Hut with a pub, several shops and other facilities. The town of Ellesmere with its pretty mere, canals and many circular walks is 4 miles away. Ellesmere has a number of shops, banks and a Tesco supermarket.
  • John is such a friendly and welcoming host. His great communication from beginning to end, made for a stress free visit. I love the location of the hut (during wet weather, you absolutely need your wellies), on it's own away from the other properties. The views are stunning, and it was the perfect backdrop for get away I needed. The hut is so cosy and cute, with plenty of storage space under the bed for my clothes and anything I didn't need out. Do remember your fire starters, kindling and firewood/eco logs. I ran out during my stay but Stan's superstore near by had what I needed. John can also provide logs. I can't wait to visit again, this stay was just what I needed; to get away from everything for a few days. Thanks John :-)

  • Great location for a quiet weekend away, lovely views across the hills and fantastic facilities in the Hut would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

  • A fantastic little place. The log burner and clever design make it really cosy and nice. John was a great host and was quick to respond to any messages and give us tips about what to visit in the nearby area.

  • John was a fantastic host who help us out of a muddy situation on arrival. The hut was amazing and had everything you need for a lovely break away. Would recommend highly and I am sure we will be back again!

  • The Shepherd’s hut is set in a beautiful hill farm landscape. This is a great escape to the peace and tranquility of the countryside. Nearby are really nice villages/towns with great pubs, we recommend the Boat at Erbistock. John greeted us warmly and saw us off at the end of the trip and communication throughout was speedy and helpful! Shame about the English winter weather but thank goodness for the cosy wood burner! I’m sure we will be back.

    Sam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Could not rate this high enough! John was an absolutely fantastic host, on hand for whatever we needed and couldn’t do enough for us (he even helped me reverse my car out of the drive because I’m a bad driver!!). The hut was so cosy and lovely, perfect for a romantic weekend or a break from reality. We will 100% be returning and we are so glad we stayed. We headed into Llangollen for tea and it’s such a beautiful village - id also recommend this to anyone staying. 5 stars!!!!

    Claire2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We weren’t able to stay at short notice. John was quick to respond to my messages and was really helpful so I’ve given 5 stars.

    Tracey2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very last minute booking, just a few hours before we arrived. Instructions for arrival very clear even in the dark. John was very helpful in bringing us firewood as I had forgotten to pick this up. It was pretty muddy so do bring boots or wellies! The hut is very cosy, small but big enough for 2 comfortably. The fire really kept it warm and was easy to use. The location is so quiet and peaceful it was a perfect weekend break. Would recommend ChirkCastle for a day out and The Boat for dinner. Would recommend and would stay in this area for another weekend if we get the chance

  • “We had a fantastic time and the place was lovely and cosy, allowing us to comfortably escape Storm Dennis! Would recommend to others and David and the hosts were accommodating and really helpful”

    Steve2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • David’s place is a wonderful gem in a beautiful area of the world. Yes, the world. David provides us with a wealth of knowledge of the walks, locations and places to visit and was incredibly helpful. The cottage itself is so cosy, warm and located magnificently near amenities, including the friendliest pub in the world. The fire was glorious in the evening after a long days walking and exploring.! We’ll be returning in summer to enjoy the delights of this cottage in the sunshine!

    Alex2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Picture perfect cottage in a beautiful setting. Well equipped and warm with an incredible wood burning stove. Lots of lovely touches, such as fresh milk in the fridge and the fire already built and ready to go! We had a brilliant time exploring this beautiful part of Wales.

    Jane2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time in David's cottage, we were made to feel special from the moment we arrived. We had lots of inspiration from his passion and knowledge of the local area. The cottage is a real retreat and we had everything we needed to make us feel right at home. We would highly recommend it.

    Josh2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding accommodation. Beautiful- pristine clean- with very helpful and friendly hosts! Would definitely recommend.

    Sharon2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Basically, what you see in the pictures is real - the cottage is on a lovely farm(but with no animals that would wake you up at night), it's right next to a barley field that never gets old to look over, and the owners are incredibly helpful and just a pleasure to talk to. The cottage itself is very authentic and cozy - but with all the amenities you might need. We stayed for a week and cooked all our meals without any issues. Overall, this was a great choice for our holiday and we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

    Wojciech2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • David & Rachel are the perfect hosts; they kindly picked me up from Ruabon station when I arrived quite late on a wet evening straight from work. The woodburner was lit & the cottage was warm and welcoming. It’s the perfect getaway for two; well equipped and cosy, just stunning. The bed & rolltop bath are also in perfect keeping with the relaxing ambience. The location is great for exploring the surrounding area. We barely scratched the surface and can’t wait to return to explore some more. Thank you again for having us!

My house is right in the centre of Chirk, short walking distance to local shops, famous chirk Aquaduct, Cadbury’s and opposite Kronospan if you are working there. Short walking distance to bus stops. It’s an ideal base for visiting Llangollen, Oswestry, Wrexham and Chester. Lovely quiet neighbourhood, quiet room for a good night sleep. The private use of the entire house is available at a negotiated fee, also available over Christmas time.

  • Olivia’s lovely home is situated in central Chirk, which is one of the most beautiful and well located villages in Northern Wales.

  • Lovely house in a great location, only 5 mins walk to Castle Tea Room (highly recommended for an evening meal), Indian restaurants and a small Spar supermarket. Olivia is very friendly and has a lovely little dog, Charlie, for those who aren't keen on dogs he is very small and sweet and not at all noisy, you'd barely know he was there :) The room has a comfortable bed and a bathroom on the same floor though the bath wasn't in use unfortunately. The shower room is downstairs.

Hi from Haydn and Marcia. We offer a large double room, private en-suite wet room, tv, tea/coffee making facilities, wi-fi, complimentary wine/welsh cakes, fantastic scenic view. Close to local pubs and shops and a 15 min walk away from the World Heritage site, the Poncysyllte Aqueduct, just 10 minute drive to Llangollen. There is plenty on offer locally such as walking, cycling, water sports, castles etc.
We live in an end terraced property. We will be sharing some of the space too so please expect to see us during your stay, perhaps in the kitchen or living room. You are welcome to share the space with us so don't feel you need to stay in your room.
The area is very quiet - Cefn Mawr is a small village just outside the tourist area of Llangollen, approximately four miles away. There are good links to public transport should you need to use the bus or train service, and we aren't too far away from Chester. We live in an end terrace with our dog (Tommy). We have good neighbours and everyone is very friendly here. Lots to do and explore - something for everyone!
  • Haydn and Marcia were wonderful hosts. They were really welcoming and gave us some helpful tips about the local pubs. The room was spotless and came with some nice welsh treats. We were spoilt with a tasty breakfast in the morning and enjoyed it with wonderful views of the valley out of their kitchen window.

    Elly2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant room. Haydn and Marcia Have thought of everything and do everything they can to make your stay perfect.

    Veronica2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Haydn and Marcia are wonderful hosts and make the stay at their place really feel like a home from home (normally a cliche but in this case so true). The room is very comfortable, clean and has everything you could need - great bed, loads of storage space, very well stocked tea/coffee etc and welcome food and wine, immaculate en suite - and there is a huge continental breakfast with a great view from the kitchen over the valley. 10 minutes walk to the viaduct and near to local buses for Wrexham/Llangollen - and an easy walk to local pubs. Cant recommend highly enough.

    Adrian2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Haydn and Marcia were extremely welcoming and instantly made us feel at home. Even after a long day it was well worth spending the evening with them, chatting and playing with Tommy. The room was spotless, bed was super comfy, great easy-to-use shower and there was a good selection for breakfast. 100% recommend!

  • A warm welcome with hosts providing extra finishing touches to make your stay special.

    Charlotte2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to stay. Haydn and Marcia are incredibly kind and hospitable hosts, and the room has everything you could possibly need and is spotlessly clean. It was a real pleasure to spend time with the hosts and their pet dog Tommy. 100% recommended!

The Stable is holiday accommodation set in rolling countryside on the North Wales / Shropshire border. It enjoys magnificent views across the valley towards England. The Stable benefits from a heated swimming pool, heated June - August, shared with the holiday property next door. A cosy log burner warms the main living area, which also benefits from oil filled electric radiators. There is a wet room with shower and a bedroom with double bed. Outside there is parking and secure bike storage.
The Stable has a private decked area and small private garden. Guests also have access to three acres of private grounds and seasonal use of the heated swimming pool. Heated by a wood burner, with additional oil filled radiators, the Stable looks out through double glazed doors onto magnificent uninterrupted views across the valley towards England. Despite being hidden away down a quiet country lane, the Stable is just one mile from the medieval village of Overton on Dee, with its pub, church and shops, and a few minutes drive from many wonderful attractions such as the aqueducts at Chirk and Trevor, the nearby towns of Llangollen and Ellesmere and the Castles at Whittington, Chirk and Oswestry. The Stable has a comfortable double bed, with an electric blanket, double glazing throughout and a wet room. A complimentary basket of wood, kindling and firefighters is provided for the wood burner. Late check ins are not a problem. Keys can be obtained from a key box and the are automatic lights which illuminate the entrance if guests are arriving after late flights / drives. If guests arrive in winter the electric blanket can be left on by arrangement and the wood burner can be lit to make your arrival really cosy!
Despite being set in glorious rural countryside, the Stable is just one mile from the village with pub, shops and medieval church. The river Dee is also one mile away, the Llangollen canal is some three miles away and there are numerous riverside and canalside pubs nearby. The pretty town of Ellesmere is four miles away with its quaint half timbered buildings, seven pubs, mere (lake) and parks with woodland walks. By the mereside is a wonderful tea shop serving meals. The Stable is on a quiet country lane which leads to a network of local footpaths, bridlepaths and quiet roads. It’s possible to walk or cycle for miles without having to use main roads. The quiet hamlet of Duddleston, with its ancient church (with an unusual hexagonal tower) lies just a couple of miles away and there are several circular routes taking in the river Dee, local pubs and nearby villages. There are maps in the Stable detailing the local area. Overton on Dee is a historic village, with churchyard yew trees reputed to be nearly 2000 years old. It has a number of shops and farm produce is available together with meat from a traditional local butcher. Ellesmere is the nearest larger village, with a large Tesco and lovely delicatessen as well as many smaller shops. Its wonderful tea shop by the mere is complemented by seasonal availability of rowing boats. Hawkstone Follies is nearby, an 18th century garden filled with enchanting grottos, caves and passages as well as other memorials and a massive stone column up which guests may climb. The Llangollen canal network is accessible either at Ellesmere or at nearby Trevor, where for a modest day charge guests can hire boats to explore the two impressive Telford aquaducts and the Chirk tunnel. A network of footpaths and backlanes are accessible right from the door of the Stable, making it ideal for those seeking a relaxing rural break without the need to use a car. One of the lovely five mile or so walks nearby takes guests along the River Dee, has a halfway point at the village pub, perhaps for a Sunday Carvery Lunch, and returns via a loop right to the door of the Barn.
  • If you’re looking to get away and stay in a quiet tranquil location, this place is absolutely perfect. It’s in a lovely countryside location with lovely scenic views. We really enjoyed our stay in the stable. It has all the amenities for a comfortable stay and particularly enjoyed the wood burner, it was very cosy. Having an electric blanket on the bed was a nice touch, especially at this time of year. John is a fantastic host and was always responsive for anything we needed. It’s a lovely little place to stay all year round, will definitely plan to stay again when weather is warmer and make use of the swimming pool.

    Tariq2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

  • Lyn and the sheep dogs were great hosts. Great hospitality. Lyn was lovely and chatty and offered me lifts to any of the local pubs and even dry out my soggy socks. The sheep dogs and the paraquet added a lot of charm to the BnB. Its a good half mile to the local pub on the A5 and then Chirk is a good 35 minute walk which has a few more pubs and eateries. But its in a great location just 100m from the Offas Dyke path. Cheers.

  • This is a 200 year old stone built farmhouse. It's a listed building and the dining room is furnished in period style, which I liked very much. The bedroom was comfortable and well-appointed, with an en-suite shower room. Lyn was very friendly and gave me an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.

Traditional Victorian property. Light and airy with sash windows and period features. House is within a short walking distance of Oswestry market town centre, and the beautiful Cae Glas Park. There are lots of lovely restaurants nearby should you wish to eat out. Easy access to countryside walks from Oswestry, plus many tourist attractions including NT properties Chirk Castle and Erdigg, as well as world heritage site Pontycysyllte viaduct nearby.
Guests will have access to the whole house. The property is cool in Summer but toasty warm in Winter, and it is fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The house sits prettily in a terrace, just opposite a beautiful green area in a very desirable street. There’s a useful corner shop about a minute’s walk away, as well as lots of cafes and restaurants within a five minute walk.
  • Helen's place was really homely and welcoming, especially as she left some some essentials like milk and chocolate for us! The kitchen had all the basics for cooking so it was easy to rustle up some tasty dinners.

    Lucy2020-03-09T00:00:00Z

  • A beautiful house in a great location. Helen went the extra mile to make us feel really welcome. The little message on the chalk board wall in the kitchen was a nice touch. Really enjoyed relaxing next to the fire and cooking in the kitchen after having been walking during the day. Bed was very comfortable and the quiet road meant we got a good nights sleep. The interior of the house is great with plenty of mood lighting and candles. Staying here was a great way to enjoy the New Year and if we visit the area in the future we’ll be sure to book again. :)

    Nathalie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • A really nice house with some stylish touches. It’s just 5 minutes walk to the town centre. It was really clean, comfortable and kept nice & warm despite temperatures going to zero outside ..... Helen provided everything we needed ( including some nice ‘treats‘ for our Christmas stay), and left helpful information. She obviously cares about giving a good, friendly service. We’d be delighted to return

    Anne2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Helen’s place is absolutely stunning. It’s cosy, warm, spacious and stylish. It’s all you could wish for, and more. It’s even better than the photos, and I would happily have stayed longer. It’s easy to tell from the feel of the house that it’s well-loved, and I can certainly see why - I totally fell in love with it myself. The location is excellent for exploring and Wales is just a 15 minute drive away. Helen has plenty of info on places to visit to get the most from your trip, although it’s tempting to simply stay inside and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful house! We popped into Wales to see the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and I’m very glad we did, the views are incredible! Hope to stay here again and spend more time exploring this beautiful area.

  • We had a fab couple of days away with our little one. The house is beautifully decorated with lovely little homely touches. It is super cosy and warm especially once you get the log fire going. The bed was super comfy and the towels were super fluffy! There is plenty of parking and we had a space outside without issue all weekend. Thank you for being such a great host!

  • We had a lovely time in Helen's.It was sparkly clean, lovely and warm, great beds, and great use of the space. Its just a five minute walk into the town, and if you dont fancy cooking great places to eat or order takeaway.Helen answered any questions immediately and was extremely helpful. I cant wait to stay again next year, thank you Helen xx

    Nia2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little townhouse terrace, about 10 mins walk from the town centre but easy to park outside. Very stylish but also cosy, with very comfy beds! Shame it was a bit cold to sit in the garden, but it looked like a great space for the summer! Kitchen was well provisioned, enough to make an apple pie from scratch and we loved the blackboard - one of the beat little touches. The indoor fire was a real treat, warning the reception rooms and making a very cosy atmosphere. Helen was a great host, very friendly and responsive - we plan on coming back to the town and will certainly hope to be hosted by her in the future. Only small negative is some very steep steps at the front of the property, so be aware if you have mobility issues.

  • This is an absolute find. The hosts are lovely and make you feel very much at home, it is spotless and the room is large, very comfortable and has been decorated to give a genuine rustic period charm. The whole house is lovely by the way. Coming back to the room, there is a good sized en suite with a great power shower, the bed is large and very comfy. The owners have friendly pets and it really was a delightful place to stay. I will certainly be going back. The location is also great just a few miles from Llangollen and surrounding countryside is stunning. What more could you possibly want!

  • We stayed at Lyn’s place on the way to Holyport ferry with our 3 year old. Lyn was incredibly accommodating given that we arrived late and left early! It was a big room - perfect for the 3 of us. Our daughter enjoyed meeting the animals too!

  • Fantastic hospitality, generous cooked breakfast, comfy beds. Great advice what to see and do. Easy access to Chirk and Llangollen. Hope to be back soon.

  • Dave and David run an amazing B and B in a lovely location. Everything is run by “ Alexa” who provides for your every whim, be it music in the shower, changing the colour and operation of the lighting in your room or operating the electric gates. With a hot tub overlooking a beautiful valley and 3D cinema cabin with all mod cons this is an experience like no other!

    Daniel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! Stopped here ahead of a trip further down Wales the following day too pick up our new puppy and were greeted by 3 gorgeous dogs upon check in. The house is absolutely phenomenal, stylish rooms and plenty of amenities. David showed us the cinema room where we set up shop for the night with our cheese and wine and watched a 3D movie. Honestly was so lovely and chilled, a home away from home. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in.

    Nicole2020-02-22T00:00:00Z

Stumpy Toddy Cottage is over 100 years old. Originally a barn for grain storage, it now provides peaceful, traditional accommodation in the Shropshire countryside. Set in 5 acres of private pastureland, Stumpy Toddy is a great rural getaway and base to explore the area. There's usually a 2 night minimum booking. It's £59 per night whatever the day or time of year. No additional cleaning fee but you will be charged Airbnb's service charge. Sorry we can't take dogs.
The Cottage is adjacent to, but entirely separate from, the main house with its own entrance and ample parking. To ensure complete privacy, any of the Cottage windows which could be overlooked from the main house have been frosted. There is a small, outdoor seating area to the front of the Cottage for the exclusive use of guests and you are also welcome to use the garden area and meadows - unless the sheep have beaten you to it! The Cottage has oak floors throughout and oak beams in all rooms. The beams mean that the ceilings are low and head room is restricted – fine if you’re 5’3” like me but you’ll need to watch your head if you’re a six footer! Heating is by electric radiators. On the ground floor: Living room with Freeview TV and DVD player. We do sometimes lose TV reception in poor weather conditions but have plenty of DVDs and board games for you to use if that should happen. No Wifi is available. Kitchen and Dining area with kettle, electric cooker, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. There is a small freezer compartment in the fridge should you need ice for your G&T. The kitchen is well equipped for a self-catering stay and we’ll make sure there are a few essentials in the fridge for your first night. On the first floor: Landing with built in wardrobe. Bedroom with standard double bed. Bathroom with bath and over bath electric shower.
We are close to the Welsh border and well situated for exploring Shropshire, North Wales and Cheshire. Local attractions include the Shropshire Union Canal, Whittington Castle, Old Oswestry Racecourse, Oswestry Hillfort, Chirk and Pontcysyllte Aqueducts, the lakes at Ellesmere, Chirk Castle and Erdigg House. Llangollen is only a 20 minute drive away. The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital is 2 miles away and can be reached by car in about 7 minutes.
  • Absolutely perfect getaway, we cannot fault this beautiful little cottage. Wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We are already planning our return visit.

  • Stumpy Toddy cottage is a delightful place to stay, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Gaynor is a wonderful host, very friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions of local places to visit and to eat. There were lots of lovely touches to make our stay extra special, milk, bread, butter and other provisions and we couldn't recommend it highly enough.

  • Stumpy Toddy Cottage is a beautiful space in which to relax. Gaynor is a wonderful host and she includes so many little touches that mean you really do have everything you need for your stay. There is everything you need to self cater with some basics provided so you don't have to bring every little thing. We were the first to stay in colder weather but Gaynor made sure we were warm and cosy and there are even electric blankets for those who feel the cold. Gaynor was on hand to give recommendations of walks and best places to park etc. The location is just lovely and I can't praise Gaynor and the cottage highly enough. We would definitely return!

  • Stumpy Toddy cottage is the perfect place. We stay in loads of places up and down the country and this has by far been our favourite. It is so peaceful. Gaynor is a perfect host, welcoming us and showing us around. The larder essentials were a welcome surprise. The place is spotless, so much so that her bathroom tiles are gleaming. The bed was so comfortable, I even checked the pillow label so I can buy my own as I slept better than I do at home. We had a walk around the sheep field and picked blackberries, which are yummy. We helped ourselves to herbs from the garden. Gaynor left us some freshly baked banana bread which was delicious. She also suggested local eateries for us. We will definitely return.

  • Stumpy Toddy Cottage is an amazing place to stay. We would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. The cottage had everything you need, and was clean and welcoming. Gaynor and Bren were fantastic hosts and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The area is beautiful and there is plenty to see. You will not be disappointed with a stay here.

  • Wow!! What a wonderful, place. The cottage is just beautiful, inside and out. It has everything you could think of for a break. Home away from home. From checking in with Gaynor being so friendly and helpful, even though we arrived quite late, she still took the time to show us where everything was. The extra little touches just make it even more special. Everything is spotlessly clean and care and attention to detail is apparent throughout all the rooms. Lovely big bathroom and luxurious big tub for a nice relaxing soak. Kitchen had everything you could think of and even though I didn't use them, having a drawer with foil and cling film etc is a big plus when you want to take picnic somewhere. Again, it's the little touches. Thank you again, Lynn & Mark

  • Stumpy Toddy Cottage is a delightful place to stay. It is everything a cottage should be and more. The location is so peaceful, with a great view across fields. Our hosts, Gaynor and Bren, were lovely. They have put so much in to making the cottage special. It's the little touches that count and we wanted for nothing. It was a lovely place to come back to each evening after exploring the Shropshire countryside and we didn't want to leave. We have only just got home and are already talking about going back sometime soon. Thank you to Gaynor for making us feel so welcome and for making sure we were happy throughout our stay. We hope to see you again soon. Take care, Anita x

  • A slice of heaven in a corner of Shropshire. Gaynor is a wonderful host, the cottage is a gorgeous place, and all the special unexpected touches really made our stay very special indeed. We needed a break to wind down and recharge our batteries and we certainly were able to do this. The setting is so beautiful. The cottage felt like home the moment we stepped through the door. There was peace and quiet by the bucket full. Five stars is not nearly enough for this AirBnB. Thank you Gaynor for a fabulous stay.

  • A boutique BnB within a home. Just fantastic, I don't think I can leave a review that will do it justice. David and David are amazing hosts, the food, the facilities, the touches, the mod cons, the comfort, the relaxation, it is above the five stars and will be back 100% we are driving away planning when and with who!!! So nice to know that level of care and value is out there, what a joy!

    Megan2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a delightful stay here with David and Dave. They haven’t been doing it long, but you couldn’t tell as they were natural hosts and had thought of everything! The location was a pleasant surprise, we thought we’d be relaxing and reading books, however, there were lots of places to go and see. The hot tub was a great hit and the cabin was really fun. We were spoilt because we had the place to ourselves. Thank you guys- we would recommend to anyone.
