Beautiful little cottage on Lake Saimaa

A small and beautiful cottage renovated with heart and warmth awaits those who long for a simple rhythm of life. The sleeping area is a barn, a sauna room, as well as the cottage's bedroom and living room. Beautiful views of Lake Saimaa from the sauna (3-4 people). A bay with clean water, swimming is best done from the dock. On a paddle board, boat or canoe trip, you can see a glimpse of the golden eagle. Nearby, the Kummakivi rock formation and rugged scenery on the hiking trail. Carrying water, outdoor toilet, solar power and inverter, refrigerator, gas heater.

Kangassaari - the kingdom of peace

The views from the cottage on the shore of the large lake Iijärvi open up in every direction. The plot is land-forest based and the beaches are suddenly deepening. A large beach patio and a large jetty bring comfort to the beach and what could be better than jumping from the jetty into the lake in the summer heat while enjoying a sauna. The main building has a living room, kitchenette, dining area, 2 bedrooms, a large loft, a toilet with a shower cabin and a closet. The kitchen has a gas stove and the toilet has an electric toilet seat with a bidet function.

Sauna cabin Pöllölä

Atmospheric sauna cottage on the shore of Lake Saimaa. The vast forests surrounding the cottage offer wonderful opportunities for berry picking and mushroom picking. You can fish from the shore of the cottage or go by rowing boat to the lake. For cyclists, there are miles of dirt roads to ride. The cottage is located along the Ruokolahti canoeing route (102km). A short distance from the tree sauna to swimming. No running water, drinking water to be brought with you. Water for washing is drawn from the lake. A rowboat is available.

Eco-friendly cabin living on a large property (4 ha) with no close neighbors. The building is clean, fresh and well decorated with materials. You'll get a made bed with linen sheets, a cold refrigerator, and your own south-facing sandy beach. A few kilometers away is Puumala Golf, Sulkava Castle Mountain, and more to see. You can row, sauna, and grill. The building has solar power where you can charge your phone and get light in the evening. Berries and mushrooms can be collected from your own forest.

Peace and relaxation by Lake Saimaa

Cottage Kotiranta is located on the shores of Lake Saimaa in Taipalsaari. The cottage is surrounded by nature, so you can spend time in peace in the spacious yard playing games or watching birds from the terrace. The yard of the cottage borders the beach, which has a gently deepening sand/clay bottom. There is also a jetty on the beach for swimming or sunbathing. You have a rowboat at your disposal, so you can go fishing if you want. Several guests have been delighted with the abundant fish catch.

Lilla Hammar

A cozy traditionel Finnish log cabin next to a peaceful little lake. The cabin is placed beautiful calming area in the middle of forests. The cottage has sleeping accommodations for four (a sleeping loft and a sofa bed). There is a charming small kitchen, a fireplace inside and campfire place on outside, composting dry toilet and a sauna (no normal bathroom). The hot tube is available with extra charge (50e). Find your peace in a classic Finnish cottage with a sauna in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kivenkänä in South Karelia. The cottage is electrified, service water must be carried from the lake, guests must bring their own drinking water. Dry toilet. For an authentic Finnish sauna experience, enjoy the traditional lakeside wood-fired sauna with its gentle heat. The beach is shallow and child-friendly. The cabin accommodates up to 4 people. (In 2026, the lake water level is exceptionally low, as is the case elsewhere in Eastern Finland. So swimming may be difficult in shallow areas.)

In the villa Myllymäki, built on top of Myllymäki with my own hands, it is easy to relax and get close to nature while enjoying the magnificent scenery. A window the size of the entire end wall frames the magnificent lake landscape. The farm has about 40 hectares of forest for animal grazing, which guarantees easy and fine hiking terrain. The distance to the center of Savonlinna is 10 km by car or 6 km by boat. The farm also has a private lean-to by the pond with equally stunning views.
