Cottage facilities The cottage has a kitchenette with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a hot plate and an oven. Dishes and tableware are provided for six people. There is a sleeping alcove with a 110 cm wide bed. The space underneath the bed is convenient for storing luggage and other belongings. In the yard, there is a separate guest house with two additional sleeping places and a storage room. Please bring your own bed linen – bed linen is not provided. Guests are responsible for the final cleaning. There is additional storage space in a chest of drawers. The living room has a dining table with benches. The cottage has a fireplace (not a heat-storing fireplace). There is a spacious terrace with a fixed dining table. The terrace has direct access to the sauna. By the lake, there is a pier, a boat and a barbecue area. The yard consists of lawn and natural vegetation. Drinking water must be brought with you. Bottled drinking water is available at the shops in Sulkava. The neighbouring cottages also use lake water as drinking water. This is therefore possible, but at your own risk. Pets are welcome! Please note that, despite cleaning, dog hair may still be found inside the cottage. There is an outdoor dry toilet (outhouse) in the upper part of the yard, next to the woodshed. Distances and nearby services The nearest shops, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy, library, gym, outdoor fitness stairs, bicycle rental and other services are in the centre of Sulkava, approximately 15 km away. The electricity-free cottage gives you the opportunity to be present here and now. A separate summer kitchen on top of the rock with amazing views is a point of pleasure. Gas stove and grill available. There's a bed for one in the barn. The sauna has a loft and a pull-out sofa bed. You also have access to a rowing boat and a paddle board. The hot tub heats up for a separate fee. There is a campfire place on the beach. There are a lot of stairs in this place, so please note when booking.

Beautiful little cottage on Lake Saimaa

A small and beautiful cottage renovated with heart and warmth awaits those who long for a simple rhythm of life. The sleeping area is a barn, a sauna room, as well as the cottage's bedroom and living room. Beautiful views of Lake Saimaa from the sauna (3-4 people). A bay with clean water, swimming is best done from the dock. On a paddle board, boat or canoe trip, you can see a glimpse of the golden eagle. Nearby, the Kummakivi rock formation and rugged scenery on the hiking trail. Carrying water, outdoor toilet, solar power and inverter, refrigerator, gas heater.

Kangassaari - the kingdom of peace

The views from the cottage on the shore of the large lake Iijärvi open up in every direction. The plot is land-forest based and the beaches are suddenly deepening. A large beach patio and a large jetty bring comfort to the beach and what could be better than jumping from the jetty into the lake in the summer heat while enjoying a sauna. The main building has a living room, kitchenette, dining area, 2 bedrooms, a large loft, a toilet with a shower cabin and a closet. The kitchen has a gas stove and the toilet has an electric toilet seat with a bidet function.

Sauna cabin Pöllölä

Atmospheric sauna cottage on the shore of Lake Saimaa. The vast forests surrounding the cottage offer wonderful opportunities for berry picking and mushroom picking. You can fish from the shore of the cottage or go by rowing boat to the lake. For cyclists, there are miles of dirt roads to ride. The cottage is located along the Ruokolahti canoeing route (102km). A short distance from the tree sauna to swimming. No running water, drinking water to be brought with you. Water for washing is drawn from the lake. A rowboat is available.

Cottage Kotiranta is located on the shores of Lake Saimaa in Taipalsaari. The cottage is surrounded by nature, so you can spend time in peace in the spacious yard playing games or watching birds from the terrace. The yard of the cottage borders the beach, which has a gently deepening sand/clay bottom. There is also a jetty on the beach for swimming or sunbathing. You have a rowboat at your disposal, so you can go fishing if you want. Several guests have been delighted with the abundant fish catch.

Villa Ruoholampi Charming 65 m² cottage located in Ruoholampi, Lappeenranta, close to the LUT campus. The cottage features a small private yard and beach. For an authentic Finnish sauna experience, enjoy the traditional lakeside wood-fired sauna with its gentle heat. The beach is shallow and child-friendly. The cabin accommodates up to 4 people. (In 2026, the lake water level is exceptionally low, as is the case elsewhere in Eastern Finland. So swimming may be difficult in shallow areas.)

In the villa Myllymäki, built on top of Myllymäki with my own hands, it is easy to relax and get close to nature while enjoying the magnificent scenery. A window the size of the entire end wall frames the magnificent lake landscape. The farm has about 40 hectares of forest for animal grazing, which guarantees easy and fine hiking terrain. The distance to the center of Savonlinna is 10 km by car or 6 km by boat. The farm also has a private lean-to by the pond with equally stunning views.
