Monthly Rentals in Ruffside

We’ve just got back from a beautiful stay at the cottage. We stayed two nights and wish we’d booked more time! We had a lovely experience start to finish, we had clear instructions of where to go and found the farm very easily. Check in was straightforward and the cottage was immaculate. The fresh eggs from the farm were a lovely touch, we had them for breakfast the following morning. Kelly kept in touch in case there was anything we needed but we had everything and more. We have a 6 month old and Kelly provided a high chair and travel cot which was great. There are some great pub/restaurants really close and we also had a day out in Corbridge which had some amazing cafes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

A great 3 night stay whilst visiting family in the local area. Room was clean and spacious bed was comfy and the room had all amenities we needed for a few days. En-suite clean with a nice large shower and plenty of hot water, The area was lovely and quiet, easy to get to, instructions were clear and parking easy. Nicky was an incredibly helpful host. We broke down on a Sunday evening five miles from the place, and she kindly came to collect my family and luggage whilst the recovery truck towed our car to a garage. Thanks so much! The cottage is cosy and incredibly well-equipped. It is warm with plenty of wood for the stove and has heated blankets and radiators too. The location is very rural but idyllic with great walks on the doorstep. Hexham and Stanhope are well worth a visit, both within easy reach. You can walk to a bus stop half a mile or so away which will take you into Consett, or nearby Blanchland, which is a small and charming place.

As a family of 4 including two tweens needing to get off their gadgets, we have LOVED this stay. The views and comfort of the house are phenomenal. As well as sightseeing, we made time just to chill at the house and enjoy time at the reservoir away from it all. This was made possible because the hosts have literally thought of everything and the layout of the house is brilliant for socialising together. The bedrooms are super comfy, the kitchen has everything and there are some nice perks like the log fire, underfloor heating and unbeatable views that just make the house so enjoyable to be in. We took mountain bikes and glad we did, there are endless well kept trails for walking and cycling right from the door and a great park for kids within a healthy walking distance. Communication and information provided were fab, and we will go back for sure!
