A truly unforgettable stay! This private, spacious boathouse was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the unique character and thoughtful design—especially the stunning bolted ceiling that give the space more charm with a touch of grandeur. The bed was comfortable, making every night restful and serene. The bathroom was great with a big walk-in shower, and heated floors were a luxurious bonus we didn’t know we needed! Everything was spot on, blending comfort with a sense of adventure. If you’re looking for a stay that’s both cozy and strikingly unique, this is it!

This was a lovely place to stay, as detailed in the description. We stayed for a week and the kids loved having a pool. The owners dog does roam in the garden, which our kids were a bit afraid of but the owners did try to call her back in. The other thing to note is that the property is very close to a train line so you hear the trains. We really enjoyed our stay with David and Corinne, they were on hand when we needed to ask things but even when they use their garden you don’t feel like they are intruding. We would definitely stay again.

Wow!! Marie's house was beautiful and in lovely, tranquil surroundings. We were a party of 5 and the house and amenities were perfect. It was great to have a swimming pool to cool off from the summer sun. We booked for a week at a late stage but from the first enquiry to Marie and throughout our time there Marie was always very quick and helpful to respond. We absolutely recommend this wonderful house and host, but hopefully there will still be the opportunity for us to book again when we are in the Charente.

The accommodation is very tastefully and fully furnished with good furniture, lots of books, art on the wall etc. Outside is a beautiful terrace with barbecue. A little further away is the lovely natural pool with seating. Adrian's estate (and Vicky) also consists of his own home, some beautiful old stables and other houses, a meadow with donkeys, an artist's studio and a vegetable garden. The whole is very charming, peaceful and in a green natural setting. Adrian himself (Vicky was in England) is very nice and the welcome was very warm with a chest of vegetables, fruits, homemade jam, etc. We had a wonderful week at Adrian's place as a family (6 adults and a baby) and we can highly recommend this accommodation.

Our weekend at Stéphane's will leave us with a lasting memory. We enjoyed the pool, we were able to play games outside and set up a nice table for meals. Thank you so much.

I 100% recommend the accommodation of Alban and Sandrine who are very nice, very welcoming and available hosts as well as their neighbor Virginie who welcomed us at first. The accommodation is as described and as shown in the photos, even more beautiful! Impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, you immediately feel very good there! The environment is ideal and the village is very charming. Only one regret: staying only one night! ;) Thank you very much Alban and Sandrine, I'll happily remember your address!

I recommend it without hesitation, Astrid is human and that's not common. A woman who is there for any problems. Very nice, the area was so quiet that I've never slept so well. The house was so clean that I didn't want to dirty it. I felt right at home, I didn't want to leave. There was everything you need in a house, even more than you need. Thanks again a thousand times. A gem of a place ! It is not easy to find places in the region that are not exorbitantly expensive or furnished from grandma's leftovers; this hits a perfect note with a mixture of stylish antiques and comfort, everything has been thought of down to the Savon de Marseille in the bathrooms! Clearly lots of love has been poured into the house and it shows, from a well stocked larder with everyday essentials (including coffee pods for the machine) to the lovely welcome hamper. The garden at the back overlooking the old monastery is perfect and very secluded and even though it was only April I managed to eat outside each morning and evening (there are 3 other terraces too). The host is on hand easily for tips on where to eat or visit if needed. Tusson is a great village with a good places to eat including the wonderful Gateaux for amazing cakes.

We had a nice weekend. Impeccable accommodation, and as described. Great hosting. Great value for money. A place that we will remember for the future.

We had booked Hermine's house for 9 nights, were very, very friendly received by the co-host Mélanie, who looked after us very nicely in person or by phone during our entire stay with all questions. The house is very nice, cozy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you need. For us, the location was ideal because we like peace and seclusion. The surrounding villages are very small and tranquil, but you can shop nearby. We did some bike tours, the paths are well developed. We also enjoyed Angoulème very much. All in all a nice stay and perfect care! Merci beaucoup à Mélanie! Note: The stairs to the upper floor are beautiful but not suitable for people who are not good on their feet. You must not enter with shoes, it has no handrail and is very irregular and smooth. But that was no problem for us.

Corrine and Stéphane are exceptional hosts! They go above and beyond to ensure that all guests feel welcome and taken care of throughout their stay. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality make the trip perfect in every way. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be recommending their place to everyone we know. We can for another visit!

Jane was the best, most helpful and most reliable host I have ever encountered. She helped me retrieve left behind luggage by spending hours on the phone with DHL and the car rental office where my luggage was left. Jane’s property is in a stunning location, surrounded by wheat and sunflower fields and as I am an artist it was perfect. The house was beautiful and spotlessly clean, decorated with excellent taste and thought to every detail. It is located about 25 minutes from Angoulême, a small city with excellent restaurants and shops. It is also in easy access to many small and pretty villages like Auberterre Sur Dronne. I highly recommend staying at Jane’s in Champagne-Vigny. I highly recommend this property

What can we say!? Michael and Lynda’s gite and our whole experience exceeded our expectations. The communication before we arrived was superb. The welcome we received was warm and wonderful. We felt like we had known them for years. The gite was spotlessly clean, very tastefully decorated, and had all the facilities that we required. Outside there was a beautiful garden that was exclusively ours. We couldn’t have asked for more. The village of Aunac was lovely and the people were friendly. Many thanks to Michael and Lynda for making this part of our trip so enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending their place to any fellow travellers.

We had a pleasant stay . The cottage is very well located (close to the castle of the pouyade) in a small picturesque hamlet and above all very quiet. Vincent is a very charming host, the welcome was great. I recommend this rental 👍

The accommodation was perfect as well as the hospitality of Mélodie and her husband. The stay was great, I would recommend it!

The place is very beautiful and serene. The house is clean and very modern. The entrance is a bit difficult to find and you need to bring your own towels, but otherwise it was a lovely stay.

We really liked Thomas’ place. The pool is much better than the photos look and the pool was very clean. A great little seating area under a canopy and plenty of sun loungers. Rarely used by anyone else! Good location for road cycling (road cyclists from UK will find the roads undulating and open). Really nice peaceful setting. Really quiet. WiFi good enough to do video calls to work from the house.

The stay at Stéphanie's went perfectly. You will find all the comforts you need, and even more. The accommodation is well-equipped, the terrace with barbecue as well as the quiet garden offer a real moment of relaxation, all in the city center.
