Fabulous spacious cottage with good views set in a lovely village, straight out onto footpaths, perfect for walking and exploring a totally unspoilt part of the country. The cottage is very comfortable, the host super helpful if you need anything, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Absolutely loved this accommodation. Great location,spotless and high quality furnishings. Communication and hospitality first class. We will definitely return when next in the area.

Holmlea is a lovely little cottage with off-road parking in the heart of Mickleton. There’s two decent pubs in the village (Blacksmiths for beer, the Crown for food) both of which are easily walkable. The Teesdale Railway Walk is nearby, ideal for exploring other nearby villages and getting out into the country. The cottage itself was spotless, a cosy retreat for a couple and their dog. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. Take a book, the tv signal is poor but you don’t go to this part of the world to watch tv. Will definitely be back soon.

We've just had the loveliest week at Lea Cottage in Romaldkirk. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home—cozy, welcoming, and beautifully kept. One of our favourite things? The garden, which gets sunlight all day, making it the perfect spot for a morning coffee or an afternoon of unwinding. We were lucky with the weather but there is would love to come back in a cooler month so we could make use of the fire. The location couldn’t be better. The Rose and Crown is literally steps away, and if you’re after delicious food and a friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot —we found ourselves going back more than once! On top of that, the cottage is in easy reach of all the wonderful attractions Teesdale has to offer, making it an ideal base for exploring. The village itself is full of charm, with scenic walks and a lovely sense of history. We’ve had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay and would absolutely love to come back.
