We had a lovely stay with our 3 dogs at heron view, we enjoyed the spacious living area and comfortable beds. The utility space was a great nook for the dogs if they were wet from walking. Lovely local pub (the Masonic) with friendly people and bar staff. The hot tub was a massive bonus! Thanks Donald We will be back!

Lovely time with family at this great cottage. We had never been to this part of Scotland before and Penpont was a very convenient base to explore from. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay for four adults - we loved the log fire and the hot tub! The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and the beds are comfortable. An excellent place to stay for small groups.

Such a magical place so peaceful and well looked after couldn’t have asked for anything better me and my partner and 2 kids really enjoyed our long weekend there will definitely be coming back

Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

First holiday in the Lake District and it was great! The cottage was brilliant, just right for us, clean and tidy, 4 poster bed was impressive and not forgetting the hot tub which was excellent after a day's walking. Hazel and Steve were very helpful on recommended walks, we didn't use the car since all the walks in the local area were fantastic. We walked for 5 days, weather was great, one of the best hoildays we have had, so peaceful, freindly people whereever we went to, on the 6th day we rested....the feet deserved a break! Thank you Hazel and Steve for making it such a wonderful stay, it would be nice to do it again. Best wishes, Grace & Alan

For what our group wanted it was perfect not a bad word to say about the place, perfect or group weekend away in the country side just what a place!

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at High Swinside. Diana was an amazing host and went out of her way to make us all feel comfortable. I would highly recommend any of her cottages.

We went to the Lake District last year and had to come back this year, Keswick didn’t disappoint and we thought it was better than Windermere! Our host was excellent with their communication and the information they provided, making it easy to find and check in to their property. Lovely cute cottage with everything you need. Also gave some great local recommendations and the digital guide they provided was really useful. We are a family of 3 with an 11 year old daughter and had plenty to do. The cottage is in the perfect location and a short walk to all the cafes, restaurants, shops, parks and pubs (plenty of craft beers) My favourite shop was an independent book store called Bookends - a book lovers heaven! Can recommend - hike up to the summit of Catbells, hiring bikes to do the Keswick to Threlkeld route (10km flat) - amazing tea room in Threlkeld, Fitz Park is on your doorstep, Rookin House for horse riding and adventures and a walk around Derwent Water. Lots of memories made.

First class accommodation in a beautiful area. Having the garden is a bonus with lovely walk to the Solway beach.

Had a lovely stay at hilltop cottage. The cottage was beautifully decorated and we felt right at home. The bathtub was amazing, and the little touches like marshmallows for hot chocolate by the fire was a great touch.

Absolutely loved my stay here - it wasn’t long enough! Such a beautiful, cosy little cottage. It was immaculate and beautifully presented, with a very homely, cosy feel. It’s in an amazing location with peaceful surroundings and not too far from all the places I wanted to visit. Sophie was very welcoming and friendly, providing great local knowledge and recommendations. I will differently be back and would recommend this hidden gem to everyone! Tim and I had a wonderful time staying at Stephanie’s Airbnb. She was very friendly and quick with communication. The house had a beautiful garden with a pond and a friendly chicken. The kitchen and living room was spacious and homely and the bed was super comfortable. We had come in spring so it was incredible waking up every morning to listen to so many birds and to watch the sunsets from the kitchen window at night. Will defo come again :)

What an amazing property! Beautiful inside and out, really close to the town centre but very peaceful with gorgeous views. The hosts were really responsive with clear instructions and recommendations for parking etc- this place was exactly what I needed and I loved every minute

2 Calgow Cottages is a fantastic cottage in a peaceful setting with lots of bird life in the gardens. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay, with a well equipped kitchen, lovely inside and outside seating areas, and three good sized bedrooms. Philip and Graeme were really helpful via message, giving recommendations for places to eat and generally being friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this property to others, and hope to stay again on a future visit to the area.

We had a wonderful week staying in Spa cottage. Well situated for walking and visiting local areas. Wonderful pub in village was a bonus, as was thecottageinthewood, restaurant/hotel at the top of the hill. Beautiful views and we were spoilt with great weather. Would definitely return.

Beautiful cottage and very peaceful surroundings. My little girl especially loved this place because she loves ducks. She even had the opportunity to get a closer look at the ducks and chickens as they were being fed on the evening. Would recommend to anybody. An all round great stay! Thank you!

Excellent modern cottage on the outskirts of Gatehouse of Fleet, in the hills up to Galloway forest. A great retreat for quietness and to get away from it all. The hosts are excellent, this being on a farm it was nice to see the animals. Would love to be back someday. Enjoyed having 7 days of sun sitting on that patio.

Lovely little cottage. Great location , easy walk into town centre and the bonus of a parking space. Cottage itself was clean and well equipped for the two of us. Friendly host with good communication.

The house was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. We appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations which made it feel especially welcoming. It is in a scenic and peaceful area with some interesting places to explore nearby. The conservatory and garden would make it an ideal place to visit in the summer. We would certainly recommend this property.
