Waterfront vacation rentals in Rochford District

I think this is my fourth stay in this lovely flat. It’s the perfect place to stay. In a peaceful part of town with the most amazing views and, if you are lucky, the most extraordinary sunsets over the sea. If you are a swimmer it has the extra benefit of being very close to the stunning Walpole Bay sea pool. Swimming there are sunset is a wonderful experience.

What a fantastic place - location is superb and right on the beach with short walks to the great restaurants, bars, and cafes of Marget. Amy was super helpful and responsive. Place was clean with stellar accommodations for both kids and adults. The decor is really impressive - love what they've done with this place. If you have a chance to stay here, don't pass it up.

Great flat. (Worth the climb!) Spotlessly clean. Very quiet. Close to shops, cafes and beach but very quiet nonetheless.

We enjoyed a lovely couple of nights at this flat - it was really spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The Tassimo disks for our morning coffee was a lovely touch. It was great to be able to join the Viking Trail literally outside the door, and we enjoyed a beautiful walk along the coast. Mark was a great host, providing some wonderful recommendations of things to do and places to eat - there are some great restaurants in Margate! Definitely recommended for a short break.

Eleanor was so helpful and very responsive during our stay! Her flat is amazing, very spacious we were pleansantly surprised. The views are great and it’s very convenient :) highly recommend!

This was the second time we have stayed here and it didn’t disappoint. The flat is in a stunning location, just across the road from the sea. We ate breakfast every morning looking out of the bay window watching the movement of the water. There are some great restaurants, pubs and ice cream parlours nearby. The local pub, The Ship, has been refurbished and did wonderful food. A La Turka and Dean’s Plaice are also worth a trip. We ate ice cream from Makcari’s every evening! Everything we wanted was within easy walking distance of the front door. Claire is a fantastic host and answered any questions very promptly. She is really friendly, as are the couple that live upstairs. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back!!

Jason’s place was wonderful for our little family and super close to old town and new town. Sara’s was great for brunch Sunday morning and the Library playground and library were great for my little one on Saturday.

We had a lovely stay at Becky’s place. The house was very clean and comfortably spacious for our group of seven — no small feat when you’re trying to coordinate showers, tea rounds and who gets the comfy seat in the garden. The terrace and garden were a real highlight, with a little sea view that made morning coffees and evening drinks feel extra pleasant. The value for money was excellent, which we really appreciated. Now, the location… well, let’s just say Sheppey has a certain rugged charm. It’s not exactly buzzing with activity, but if you’re looking to unplug, stare at the sky and listen to seagulls with strong regional accents, you’re in the right place. The house itself is simple and functional. Becky was responsive and helpful throughout, and the listing was accurate. Thanks again for the stay!

The bakehouse was a great, we had wonderful time the house have everything that you need to feel comfortable and everything it’s 5 min less walking distance. Great place and host . Definitely recommendable

Perfect house for exploring Margate with family and friends. Has everything you need and with beautiful sea views. This is the third time we have stayed and will definitely be back.

Booked this for my Husbands 70th. 5 couples so, having a bedroom with en-suite for everyone was a real find. The location was superb, everything in walking distance. Sally provided recommendations for a dinner on the Saturday evening. We went to the Royal Hotel (across the road). It was a perfect w/e and the weather helped. We had sea views and right on the front. Cinema room in the basement was fab and we couldn’t fault a thing. Thanks Sally

This was our second stay at this wonderful property. The location is amazing and the area is so peaceful. The garden is an absolute sun trap. The property was so clean, the beds are really comfortable, lots of little extras that make it a complete home from home. We are already discussing our next visit, this will be a regular rental for our family, we love it.

Celebrating my birthday with close family and this house ticked all the boxes. Plenty of space for a family of 4 couples, 3 dogs plus a baby and we loved the quirky decor with plenty of beautiful crockery and utensils to choose from. The bedrooms were really comfortable with fresh linen and towels and a good size. No one had a poky one! We requested the hot tub at the last minute and this was arranged for us and was a real bonus!. Location excellent with the beach close and also the pier for a walk. We had a fabulous relaxing stay and the weather was great. Felt like home from home. The only comment I would add is that there was a smallish patio area with a large table so a bit of a squeeze outside but not really a problem, we split the tables the second night which helped. Great hosts who gave lots of info and responded quickly. Many thanks.

This is a lovely, welcoming retreat in the heart of Canterbury. There is a peaceful and private oasis on the back terrace where one can have a drink or a meal and listen to the birds, river, and happy daytime activities happening in the nearby park. Good view of the cathedral from the upstairs front window, and wonderful view of the river from the upstairs back balcony and windows! The location is close to everything (very walkable) and easy to find. The bed was very comfortable. Hosts were kind and responsive. We would certainly stay there again if we return to Canterbury.

properties are very nice split level property that reminds me of an old Edwardian type property. It’s been very nicely done out the hot tub is really good and just generally everything just worked. The location is really good and we’d love to come back.

We had a wonderful time at Nic’s place. Nic was super nice, always response and very clear in her instructions. Pictures don’t do justice to how beautiful it is. It is so tastefully done, paying attention to the smallest details. Be it the condiments at the kitchen, the books collection or the list of board and card games. While we loved reading in the garden when it was sunny, our absolute favourite part was being able to watch as rain trickled down the window and skylight whilst comfortably sat in the sofa. We absolutely loved this place and would definitely come back again.

We've had such a lovely time at the flat, the panoramic sea views are stunning and the beds are very comfortable. Ella very kindly let us check in early and sent very clear instructions of how to check in as well as a great list of things to do nearby. It's up two flights of stairs but didn't feel too steep and the view was more than worth it. It was great being so close to Walpole pool plus the beautiful seafront walk into Margate. We hope to return!

Sue was terrific. She could not have been more accommodating when our party of 3 became 4 (to include a young grandson) and she provided us with cereals and goodies for him and a bed guard rail. Her lovely apartment is beautiful, light, airy and comfortably furnished with excellent quality appliances and fixtures/fittings. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. A superbly designed and appointed apartment. Thank you Sue. Our stay was short but perfect.

Great property. Pics don’t do it justice. We really felt at home. Super close to the beach and park for the dogs. So many amenities, even a spare toothbrush - which i had forgotten at home. Thank you for having us.

Sara’s flat is beautiful with incredible views over the harbour, particularly at sunset. It is ideally situated within Margate old town, with easy access to many fantastic restaurants and bars.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment the location is absolutely perfect, with stunning views and easy access to the beach, town, and everything we needed. The apartment itself was well equipped and had everything to make our stay comfortable and convenient. We especially appreciated the spacious layout and modern feel. There were a few small maintenance and cleanliness issues that could use some attention, but overall, they didn’t detract from our experience. With a bit of extra care, this place could be absolutely flawless. We’d happily return and recommend it to others looking for a great spot by the sea!
