Caroline’s house is beautiful and stunning views over the countryside in every direction. Would recommend visiting Lumsdale waterfall which was a great afternoon out. We had Sunday lunch at the Tavern which is 5 mins walk. Fabulous food and lovely staff who made us very welcome. Gulivers Kingdom is 15 mins drive and the kids had a great day there. We were lucky to have some good weather and spent time in the garden which was very peaceful enjoying the views. Caroline is a great host and was most helpful with local knowledge. The grandkids loved meeting Caroline’s horse Tilly. Would highly recommend this beautiful house we had a great family holiday making lovely memories.

Melissa's place was beautiful and cozy. It was in a great location from which to explore the area. There were so many thoughtful touches and we felt right at home. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I really enjoyed our two day stay in Fox Cottage. A lovely one bedroomed cottage with everything you would need for a very pleasant stay. The whole cottage was very clean; the bathroom and the shower were fine. The kitchen had enough crockery and pans so we could easily cook. Jon had left ground coffee and different types of tea so it was very helpful; it was also a lovely surprise to be given some delicious home made jam. The downstairs living room was comfortable and there was a big, clear tv. The surrounding area is beautiful and we could actually walk from the house as we did Walk 34, the Tansley Circular. Communication with Jon was very easy and we found Jon and Juli very friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage on the edge of the beautiful Peak District.

This was our second time coming here and we loved it even more than we did the first time. The cottage is lovely and has everything you need, as well as easy access to the wider Peak District through the bus services. We highly recommend walks near Bakewell.
