Vacation room "Bat Cave" in the beautiful Gelbachtal

Our children have now flown the nest and we don't want to share the beautiful home with just the bats. We live in the romantic Gelbachtal between Westerwald and Taunus. Hikers and cyclists have now discovered the great location of the place. Our peaceful Gelbach flows into the Lahn very close by. Not far away are the towns of Nassau and Bad Ems (Bad Emser thermal baths only 20 minutes away). Our place is located on beautiful footpaths and bike paths.

In the stable – side by side with chickens and horses

'IM PFERDESTALL' is located on the ground floor of the barn of the Mühlenanwesen. It used to be a stable. (Be sure to check out my other apartment, 'Scheunen-Loft', too.) The room has low ceilings and small lattice windows. The room is suitable for people seeking a more cave-like, cozy retreat. Due to the oven and the cold floor, the apartment is not suitable for infants. In the cold season, it may be necessary to heat up with the stove. See below.

In the middle of the beautiful city of Boppard, you can enjoy your breakfast on the terrace overlooking the rooftops of the city before exploring one of the numerous hiking and cycling tours. The apartment is newly renovated and modernly furnished. A sofa bed offers additional sleeping options. Day ticket parking in the immediate vicinity of the apartment: 6 euros

Customs port on the Rhine

Our newly renovated apartment is centrally located in Geisenheim, just 1 minute from the Rhine and Geisenheim Cathedral. Best for 1–2 persons. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, underfloor heating and electric shutters. Shopping, restaurants and the Rhine are within walking distance. Every Friday the weekly market takes place directly on the cathedral square – the perfect starting point for a stay in the Rheingau.

Arrival by bus and train is possible.
